“Sara stepped in for 2 weeks while my regular sitter was unavailable and Kallie has loved spending time with her. They've been on walks every day, during her mid-day check in. Having this service with someone I feel comfortable with and trust is SO helpful. It also brings peace of mind that my pup gets some love while I'm at work. Grateful for Sara - would recommend and will use again!”

“Alyssa is a great pet sitter! She did a wonderful job of taking care of my dog and two kitties, and she's great at dealing with the unexpected things that pop up, like thunderstorms and flooded basements! I'll definitely book her again.”

“Eileen was amazing from start to finish. She came over to meet our cat before we booked her. Our kitty is special needs and needs a lot of extra help. Eileen took great care of him and handled the challenges so well! She communicated regularly and was very responsive. We highly recommend her for your cats!”

“Hannah took wonderful care of my 2 furry family members. I received a complete report with photos for each visit. When I arrived home both dogs were happy and relaxed. I will definitely call Hannah again!”

About: I grew up with multiple pets, including two cats in my childhood and a wonderful dog that I helped care for in her seniority, so I've been familiar with animals all my life. Currently, I own and aided in training a high-maintenance, special needs German Shepherd. He's a sweetheart, but he's definitely a commitment! Given his intensely anxious nature, he needs a patient hand to calm him often. He's also epileptic, so I am well practiced in attentiveness, administering medication, following specialized meal plans and the like if needed. I have also done pet and house sitting on many occasions, particularly for family and friends but for a wide variety of pets– from little dogs that didn't even reach my knee, to my own Shepherd, who stands just about as tall as my hip. I've house kept for up to a week, entertaining young dogs and going on daily walks, etc. I am always happy to be introduced to new little ones and have a high pain tolerance when it comes to their claws, so I don't mind when they get a bit rowdy, either! High energy or low, I will gladly make time for any fluffy friends who need a watchful eye. I am currently on track to earn my Associates in the Arts from Carroll Community College, before transferring to Towson University, about a 45 minute commute from my home. My class schedules usually entail that I'm home fairly early in the afternoon, and though I am also working, it will ideally be no more than three days a week at any given time, leaving plenty of room for me to take on pet care! Even busy as a bee, I'll always make time for them where I can. Though my own home may not be an ideal place for another pet to spend nights due to my Shepherd's nervousness, I will gladly offer my time to visit others. I have previously found myself curled up on a couch with a pet I was taking care of overnight, or even falling asleep on the floor with them. So long as their pet parents are happy for me to do so, I will gladly stay wherever is most comfortable for the pet involved, and take food/water/sleeping arrangements where they are best suited. I also have a fair sense of direction, so I'm perfectly content on walks in unfamiliar places, especially when I have friendly doggos with me!

“Michelle was amazing. Our cat has congestive heart failure and requires medicine administered twice daily. He is also very timid around strangers, making it even harder for a sitter to give him his meds. We finally decided to try a sitter and quickly found Michelle. Michelle went above and beyond what I would have expected out of a sitter. Leading up to our trip, she stopped by many times to give our cat treats and allow him to get used to her. Michelle's visits were excellent. We really appreciated the updates and we're glad to see that everything was going well. Highly recommend, we will definitely be rebooking. Thank you!”
“This is my first time using Rover and Ashley has been fantastic to work with. We have a young puppy and a shy adult dog and we need weekly visits. Ashley has been helpful and supportive working out a schedule, knowing it will evolve as the puppy gets older. She's responsive, flexible, and has given us good ideas on how these visits can meet the needs of both dogs and keep them happy and comfortable.”

About: Hi! I am new to Rover! I am 24 and have taken care of dogs my whole life! Growing up, we always had at least 2-4 dogs in our home at all times, all different breeds and sizes. We treat dogs like children in my family :) I work a hybrid job in office Monday-Wednesday so my availability is mainly Thursday-Sunday. Week days I am available to do visits throughout the day and weekends my availability is very open. I am very good at following directions and I can ensure I will keep your pets safe and do anything I can to make this experience as comfortable as possible!
About: I’ve cared for family and friends’ pets of all shapes and sizes throughout high school and college. Whether it was my college friend’s energetic puppy or my aunt’s elderly cat, I always loved spending time with them. I offer walks, feedings, playtime, possible vet trips if needed, and of course quality time with your pet in the comfort of their own home where they feel safest and happiest. Currently home for the summer which is perfect for open availability whenever and wherever. Available mornings, evenings and nights! I am flexible in almost every booking if needed. Pets are free to roam throughout the house! Dogs would have to be on a leash to be outside due to the unfortunate circumstances of having no fence in my back yard.
“Kristen was great!!! She arrived each day at our requested drop in times and followed all feeding and medication directions perfectly. She dilligently cleaned up their litter boxes, wet pee pads, and stray litter. She even took out the trash and washed up their feeding bowls. She also put out food for a stray that sometimes drops by. I would definitely request Kristen again. Cheri”

About: I am a compassionate individual who takes pride in caring for any pet. I pay extra attention to their needs, and how they are handled. I am flexible because I am home from college for the summer. I do not have many other commitments, other than a few set vacations. I care for pets the way I am instructed to, because I do not want to overstep any important boundaries. Pets are important to me.
“Thank you again Jess! My boys (cats) are so well cared for when you visit. And I am assured of my home being safe in your hands as well. Thank you so much for your excellent service and care.”

“I found Samantha and I’m so happy I did. She took care of my scared, timid baby Dom. I’m so thankful for her! She took amazing care of him and we can’t wait to use her again. Thank you Samantha for making this easy and stress free!”

“We reluctantly left our kids for eight days while we went on vacation. Rather than boarding them, we decided to hire Liz so they could stay in the comfort of their own home. At 15 years old, they are both deaf and one is blind so they need extra attention. Liz did an awesome job. In addition to excellent communication and performing visits on time, she drove though a snow storm to perform several visits. When we got home, the kids were very happy to see us, and they were obviously well taken care of. Finally, the difference in cost between three daily visits and boarding was minimal. If you are weighing your options, contact Liz!”
“Natalia was wonderful!!! She took such great care of our little girl, Scarlett, and we would not hesitate to use her again… she sent tons of pictures… lots of updates… we loved her?”
About: I have been dog sitting for neighbors/family friends and people in my home town community since I was in college. I love all dogs like they are my own and do my best to spend as much time as I can with the dogs while their beloved family is away. I have cared for dogs of all ages including puppies and senior dogs that no longer have eye site. I also have experience walking large dogs including an Alaskan Malamute, as well as walking more than one dog at a time. I work full time as a physical therapist and sometimes have longer days but will make it back for lunch time potty breaks. I will take your dog on multiple walks while you enjoy time away. I work full time as a physical therapist. I do have 2 longer days but will be able to make it over for lunch time potty breaks and walks before and after work :) I will watch your dog when letting them out at your home if there is a fence, if not I will walk them as much as necessary.
Eldersburg pet parents share their Rover experiences
Our favorite sitter forever! Alyssa handles everything like a pro - from giving our rabbit eye drops, to chasing our cat when he decides to run out into the hallway, and much more! We’re forever thankful we have Alyssa to look after our loved ones. She treats them as if they are her own! 😻

Moriah was truly a god send! Our dog is very protective of our home and the people in it. We were afraid we wouldn’t be able to go on our vacation this year because of our dog’s behavior. Moriah knew how to handle our situation with care and discipline with our dog. She sent pictures and updates every day. With each day our dog feel in love with her. I would recommend Moriah to anyone looking for a not just a dog sitter but a dog whisperer! ~Angel

Michelle was EXCELLENT with my senior pup! She was absolutely wonderful. From the start, she was attentive, patient, and incredibly kind. She took the time to understand my dog’s needs and pace, and treated him with such care and compassion. It’s not easy finding someone I trust with my old man, but she exceeded every expectation. She was also incredibly kind to my Mom who was home during the drop-ins. I HIGHLY recommend Michelle to anyone looking for someone thoughtful and reliable to care for your best friend—especially for senior pups!
