About: I am now retired and have total availability. For walks or drop ins I need to keep my service area within 5-7 miles. For longer stays I am willing to expand my area upon request. I began my pet care as a child, taking home every stray dog I saw. Nursing sheep, stray cats, bunnies, you name it. I was then a vet tech, rescue foster, and sitter. As my life has changed my love for, and enjoyment of caring for pets has not. I bond well with animals, and have the experience to know when firmness is required. I will always care for your animal as i would my own. ( spoiled ) I have a good availability and experience with all ages of pets. Including training to elderly animals who need special care. I am comfortable administering meds, and dealing with unique or special circumstances. Finally, I am reliable. You can rest assured that your baby will be well cared for. when I house sit I will keep your place clean daily. If you desire addition plant care or whatever, just ask. I am retired. This gives me great availability to care for your pet. I can adjust my schedule to fit your needs. At times I prefer overnights at your place so as to not disturb my husband. I have a fenced yard. At your home or mine we get plenty of potty breaks, walks, and play. I only leave the house to go to the store or appts.

About: Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I believe they teach us unconditional love, help us stay present, and enrich our lives in countless ways. I love dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, though I have a particular appreciation for larger breeds such as Pit Bulls, Dobermans, and Rottweilers. Over the years, I've spent countless hours learning about canine behavior, training, and communication to better understand their needs and how they experience the world. My beloved Miniature Schnauzer, Bella, was my companion for 13 wonderful years. During the last five years of her life, she lived with diabetes, requiring twice-daily insulin injections, regular veterinary care, and cataract surgery. Caring for her taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of providing consistent, compassionate care—especially for dogs with special medical needs. I understand that pets are family. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, companionship, or extra care and attention, I'll treat them with the same love, respect, and responsibility that I gave my own. I currently work from home while building my real estate investment business, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be attentive to the needs of the pets in my care. My day typically starts between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. with meditation and exercise, followed by work from my home office. Because I set my own schedule, I can easily accommodate walks, feeding schedules, playtime, potty breaks, medication needs, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. If your dog is boarding with me, I enjoy incorporating outdoor walks into my daily routine and can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and one-on-one attention. “It can be hard to find sitters willing to help with challenging dogs, and I have a very sweet pup who, unfortunately, has some separation anxiety that means she can’t be left home alone at this point. Julia agreed to watch her for some daycare while my husband and I attended a family birthday party, and she also was great about setting up a Meet and Greet about a week beforehand so that Sable could be introduced to Julia and her own pups. Julia sent pictures and updates while we were away, and I appreciated her honesty when I asked how Sable did. It seems as though Sable was only mildly embarrassing and didn’t put Julia through too much hassle, so I’m very grateful to have someone trustworthy and kind to leave my pup with! About: Growing up, my nuclear family cared for roughly thirty cats, both indoor and outdoor. Naturally, part of my daily routine was feeding them all before getting on the school bus, keeping the litter boxes and surrounding areas tidy throughout the day, and of course providing AMPLE love to all. I have experience nursing abandoned kittens to health and maturity, as well as acclimating feral cats into the home. I am more than keen when it comes to feline behavior! (My mother used to "joke" that her four children should come together and open a vet clinic.) Today, my husband and I have a well-trained, 3 year old shepherd mix named Poet, whom we adopted at just 8 weeks old, and a 5 year old American bobtail kitty named Millie, who we also rescued. We both work from home and our animals are our absolute lives. Normal days for us include walks around the neighborhood, as well as trips to City Bark. We have a fenced in backyard for potty time, as well as sun bathing. Both as our animal have free reign of our home; they watch TV with us, answer email with us, snooze with us, cook with us, etc.! You can trust that your fur baby would be met with the same love, adoration, and care that we provide to our own. Both my husband and myself work from home and are able to provide near-constant care for your fur babies, whether that pertain to potty breaks or play time! We have a modest fenced in yard, as well as one dog and one cat of our own. Both are friendly with all species! We have ample space (spare bedrooms) to set up up a crate/kennel if desired.

About: I have welcomed dogs into my family for the past 25 years living in New Orleans, and have loved caring for them as they have certainly cared for me too! I work from home most days of the week and am rarely gone for more than a few hours for in-person meetings. I provide lots of walks along the greenway and time in my fenced yard too. I have toys for stimulation such as puzzles and can play hide and seek with toys, treats, and me! I am happy to continue implementing your schedule and use your key words and phrases to maintain training while your pup is with me. I also enjoy taking my dog Conor to City Bark where he plays with other dogs and gets a nice bath. I am happy to bring your dog there too if they are able to go. I work from home and occasionally take meetings out of my house. Those usually are not more than a few hours. Once a week I go into my office from 8-4 but come home at lunch to walk my dog Conor. I have three boys that are in school who live with me every other week. I do a school drop off and pick up every other week for one of them around 7:15 am and again around 3:00 pm. I keep my dog on a predictable schedule of feeding and walks and provide toys for stimulation. I always keep fresh water available both inside and outside so that they are not dehydrated.

About: After a tragically pet-free childhood, I've spent the last 20 years seeking out any opportunity to care for animals—from free dog walking for friends and cat-sitting for vacationing pals to hiking with hounds and being a designated vet chauffeur. I love exploring the outdoors with a dog, chucking sticks across empty fields, and praising them for every "good stretch"! I do everything I can to make pet parents feel comfortable and assured when they leave their furry friends in my care—including plenty of photos and updates! I work from home as a writer/editor and a live-edge woodworker, so my schedule is entirely flexible and under my control. I have a fenced-in backyard with ample shade where I often write and work, so outside time is always available for the animals I care for. I love walking the city and wandering through green spaces, especially Audubon Park and City Park, and having a puppy pal to accompany me makes it even more enjoyable. My interior home space is approximately 1,800 square feet, with multiple couches and rooms and sunspots for dogs and/or cats to relax and lounge. The fenced-in backyard is well-secured with a 6-foot fence for stress-free bathroom breaks, and my active lifestyle takes me on at least 2 longer walks each day, typically in the morning and evening. At a client's home, I pride myself on being highly adaptable to new routines and expectations, and my career as an editor makes me very attentive to details, e.g., medication needs, feeding times, sleep schedules, walk durations, etc. Whether you need someone to pop in and play with your pooch for an hour, or leave your animal at my home for a longer trip, you can rest assured they will be cared for, loved and pampered in a safe and comfortable environment.
