“Emily is absolutely AMAZING!!! I work in the area and don’t know anybody, here. I had an emergency situation come up and needed somebody to look after my 3 dogs for an ambiguous amount of time (I did not know if I was going to be looking at a daycare sitch or a multi-day stay.) I made a reservation and sent a message to Emily after midnight on a Thursday about coordinating for the next morning and she responded immediately!!! She really reeeeeeeally helped me out of a jam, and even came to pick my kids up for me so I could begin to address my situation right away, even though I am staying well out of her way! She is a doll, and her own pups are a hoot! I couldn’t recommend her more! While living and working on the road it is incredibly stressful to address the contingency where you may not be able to attend to your babies, my dogs and my cat are with me 100% of the time and I have often found myself fretting about what to do, should something happen to me. Emily swooped right in and put my mind well at ease so that I could address my own needs without the weight of worrying!”

About: My partner and I adopted our chihuahua mix Mango over a year ago now, and she loves nothing more than her daily hour walk to City Park in the morning. I had my pup Daisy for 17 years and although she's passed now, she loved hiking and walking around the neighborhood. I also lived with my best friend for a few years in college and co-parented her dog from the moment she came home from the shelter. I have taught both dogs basic training such as sit, stay, lay down, heel, paw and cuddle! I work from home and am happy to bring your dog with us or take them out later in the day! Happy to dogsit at my house in Navarre (couple blocks from City Park) also! I have a long fenced yard perfect for throwing the ball or just chasing around. My pup is fully kennel trained and I’m happy to kennel yours or they can chill on the couch when we’re out of the house! In terms of walks I always steer clear of other dogs on walks just in case of reactivity, and love City Park trails for the availability of water and shade!

About: I’ve had animals in my house since I was a baby. I grew up with dogs, a bird, and many fish; and I eventually owned a cat as an adult. I am great with senior animals and/or those with special needs and can successfully administer medications or help with changing dressings for injuries. I am a freelance musician, so I make my own schedule. I have a lot of free time during the days, and my gigs usually only last a few hours in the evening time. My home is cozy and comfortable for pets! My neighborhood is very walkable and pet-friendly. I love to spend time with animals and keep them happy and entertained.

About: I grew up with dogs and I had my own until he grew old. I guess you could say that I have a lifetime of experience. Because my own dog’s passing was so heart breaking, I can’t bring myself to get another at this time so I enjoy getting my dog fill in through Rover. I am from Louisiana and I have lived in New Orleans for 8 years. I consider myself very reliable and responsible. So far, I have had great experiences with Rover. I can't wait to meet your dog(s)! I’m currently working part-time so I have a lot of spare time to devote to pet care. When pet sitting, I usually spend most of my time at home with the pet. I currently do not have any pets so pets that I sit will have my full attention. I do have a backyard and a walkable neighborhood.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I love them and take my care of them. I enjoy walking them because they allow me to get exercise for myself and the dog. I’ve raised dogs from 9 weeks old to taking care of a dog 16 years old. Both of my sons also enjoy being around them as well, as they are always treated as part of the family. Pet care fits in my day at multiple points. Including feeding at the breakfast and dinner then usually at least a 30 minute walk. Then sitting outside with my dog Roger while he relaxes in the sun. I do anything that makes my dogs more comfortable and happy. That ranges from getting special bone treats that increase my dogs breath to going on 1 hour walks. As I have hybrid work I’m usually home so I let my dog out whenever he needs to go out.

Because I have with a chronic health condition, I’m not the best match for high-energy dogs or those who need a lot of intense physical or mental stimulation throughout the day. I provide gentle, loving care and a relaxed home with a big backyard where your dog can feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pup is shy, older, or just prefers lounging over playing fetch, I’m here to make them feel right at home. Let me know if you have any questions—I’d love to meet you and your pup! I'm currently between jobs, so I have full-time availability! I can walk and board dogs all week, including weekends. I prefer walks after 8am, but can accommodate as needed. I have a large fenced-in yard in a very quiet neighborhood. I can crate if desired inside. I have no pets, no kids, and do not smoke.
