About: I worked at a pet boarding facility in Texas throughout high school, where I gained experience caring for pets and administering medications when needed. Alongside that, I started my own pet sitting business, which I continued through college. Now that I’ve relocated to North Carolina, I thought I’d give Rover a try! During the summer, I have open availability, and during the school year, I’m available outside of my class times. I also work remotely, so I can work from anywhere, making it easy to fit pet care into my daily schedule. I only offer pet care in my client’s home to help keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to maintain their usual routine, whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, or administering medication. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for while you’re away.

“Abby was fantastic and incredibly considerate when taking care of my two cats. She went the extra mile to ensure they had plenty of stimulation and even sent regular photos, which was such a nice touch. I felt confident knowing they were in great hands. I highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Caroline was great with my cat and took an amazing care while feeding and cleaning. Communication was wonderful and I felt confident that my cat was in great hands. I would book again with her without a doubt! :)”

“Samantha did a great job watching my cat Mister. I super appreciated her spending time with him, sending me pictures and taking care of my flowers while I was gone. I'll definitely be booking her again. Thanks Samantha!”

“Great communication and very kind! Sent lots of pics and made sure I knew my dog was taken good care of!”

“Very happy with Tina’s care if our cat. Highly recommend her.”

About: We lost our dog a year ago, and while we’re not yet ready for our own dog again, we are excited to love on other people’s pets when they need care. I work from home often, have a fenced back yard, and love to be outside and go for walks. I really enjoy the companionship of furry friends when they visit. My 11-year-old son also loves having the company of animals at home and enjoys playing and snuggling based on their comfort level with kids. We’re open to all breeds, dogs big and small, young and old, and everything in between. My family and I can’t wait to meet you and your beloved pet(s) and hope we can become their home away from home anytime they need care! I work from home most of the week and am available on weekends, so open for boarding, day care, visits, and walks throughout the week with most of my free time during evenings and weekends. I have a fenced yard and plenty of space inside and outside. We live in a neighborhood great for walking. Whether my home or yours, I’m happy to care for your pet however you usually do!

About: I have extensive pet care experience, mainly with dogs, but cats also. I have experience caring for special needs dogs. I would love to care for your pet while you are away! I am a music teacher currently on summer break, so I can be available at any time of the day any day of the week! Before caring for your pet, I will ensure we are in communication about your expectations. I want to keep your mind at ease while you are away from your pet, so you know they are safe and happy,

About: Isabella is an independent contractor for the local "Walk & Wag" pet services company, in addition to having her own freelance clientele with Rover. Background check & driving record approved! P.S.: Her pet pictures tend to be with one hand holding the phone and the other a leash (or 3!). While she's not always able to fit in the frame, she's smiling behind the camera. ___________ Isabella has lived in the RDU area for most of her life and has been caring for neighbors’ pets since she was old enough to fill a water bowl and walk her own West Highland White Terrier, Bonnie. Isabella regularly volunteers with Orange County Animal Services’ Dog Day Out Program and previously fostered a wide variety of dog breeds while living in Washington, DC. She finds great joy in caring for Chapel Hill’s beloved pets and being part of the local community. In her free time, Isabella enjoys hiking, backpacking, browsing local bookstores, and spending time with friends. She also speaks fluent French and conversational Russian and Spanish. Isabella earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from American University and a Master’s degree in International Security from the Paris Institute of Political Studies. Now back in Chapel Hill, she's working remotely & thrilled to be surrounded by trees – and animals – once again. Her schedule is flexible and largely adaptable to her furry clients' needs, including ones that pop up last-minute (so never be shy to ask!). In clients' homes, Isabella treats both the pet and their safe space with as much respect as she'd hope for herself. Ensuring lockboxes are properly secured, fences closed, and individual pet needs are met is essential. It's equally essential for pet owners to know that the extra step is being taken to keep your pet safe and cared for, so regular communication and photos are standard on every service.

Ashley T.Star Sitter
“Ashley is one of the kindest and most patient people I know. Being a caregiver to others (pets, children, family, neighbors) is something she has always been drawn to in all of the years that I’ve known her. When I was in the hospital, there is no one else I trusted more with my two dogs than Ashley. One dog had separation anxiety, and the other is mostly deaf and very elderly, so they were not good candidates for boarding. Knowing that they could instead stay home with Ashley, and that she was giving them the love that I know they needed in my absence, allowed me to rest stress-free. She is compassionate, thoughtful, and considerate. She is very responsible and respectful of your wishes, and will follow any instructions you leave her with to a T. Highly recommend!”

Elizabeth B.
“Elizabeth has cared for my dog, Bear on several occasions, ranging from a few days to a week! He absolutely loves her! She’s so kind and patient with him. She does a great job following his regular routine while also incorporating him into the household. When I pick him up I can tell he’s been at peace and not distressed (which is something we can’t say about traditional boarding). Elizabeth will work with your family and your pet to make sure their time with her is loving and happy!”

Hannah S.

“Hannah was great. She took great care of my cats and I would absolutely book with her again.”

Lyn S.

Fearrington cat parents share their Rover experiences
Mackenzie was wonderful, communicative, and flexible! She was able to accommodate a shift in our travel dates, and we came home to happy, healthy, and well cared for kitties! We’re looking forward to having her back again soon!

Ana was so helpful and ran over to my house to accepted a package for me! I highly recommend Ana. She is so good with the cats and they clearly love her!

This was my first experience with Rover, and Gretchen did not disappoint. She was prompt, reliable, caring, and friendly. She was great with my rather shy cat on her drop in visits, and left wonderful notes. I enjoyed the pictures, too. Thank you so much, Gretchen!
