Her sons are very gentle and natural animal lovers so that was not any concern even though our dog generally prefers calm environments. “We used Kirsten for an 8 night stay while we traveled abroad and it couldn’t have gone better! We had never had to board our 6 year old dog for more than a couple nights before and were nervous about him having to do an extended stay at an older age as he is quite spoiled. We met with a few people on rover and ended up landing on Kirsten and another option. We initially chose the other person because we felt he would give a more personalized experience since Kirsten always had a couple of dogs under her care, however to be safe we did the trial day care with Kirsten before a one night stay we had leading up to this one and it went great. She left a detailed report and sent pictures and it seemed like he had a good time in her big backyard and living w her human and extended pet family. We felt comfortable enough to use her for the overnight after that and it was great. Easy drop off and pick up and was quite obvious she was very knowledgeable. Because of that we change our mind for the extended stay and received amazing service. Each night she sent multiple pictures and a daily recap telling us about relationships he formed with their family and other dogs staying with her along with pictures. When we picked him up he was excited to see us but even made a dash for inside to go hang out w his new friends again! We have no concerns about needing to board in the future because we know he will be in the best of hands with Kirsten.”

About: I’ve had dogs big and small my entire life, and am comfortable with any dog from my mother’s stubborn Bassett hound to my uncle’s giant English mastiff. I understand that not all dogs love other people and animals, and have experience restraining them or avoiding circumstances that would put stress on the dog. I also run, and can give any dog the amount of exercise it needs! I’m a recent college graduate that is home for the summer before my big-girl job! I have very few plans and can walk dogs any time of day. I have a fenced yard, but am currently not planning on doing sleepovers. My mother’s basset hound has some resource guarding issues that we’re working on before we allow other dogs into the house.

We also had a high energy Australian shepherd that had to go boot camp a few times…that being said I understand their training is very important to keep up so I am open and receptive to all their training and dietary needs. “Evie & Fritz were so amazing with Lola. They sent me photos throughout each day and gave me updates on how she was doing! She got to play with lots of other dogs who were in doggy daycare with them and snuggled up with them at night! I felt so good knowing my girl was being so loved and well cared for! “Cathy took on our quirky, energetic boy with optimism and open arms. She patiently took notes on all his behavioral quirks and was happy to accommodate his need for longer walks. This was our first time boarding him, and he seemed to thrive at Cathy’s and enjoy tons of snuggles and pets. It was so nice to feel so at ease about him while we were traveling and we highly recommend Cathy!!”
