From the moment we met her, it was clear that she genuinely love animals and prioritizes their well-being. Shawna took the time to get to know my dog, ensuring that he felt comfortable and secure. Throughout the stay, she provided regular updates and adorable photos, which eased our minds while we were away. Our pup was happy and healthy, clearly having enjoyed his time. 9. Angelica R.
“Angelica was absolutely wonderful. This was the first time we'd left the cats alone since we moved into a new house. Angelica kept us posted while she was doing the drop-in visits, sending photos with adorable descriptions as she went along. Whenever she wasn't sure about anything she asked questions, which I appreciate so much. Most importantly, the cats liked her! I will definitely be asking her to take care of them again in the future.”

“I have known Amy for many years. She was my primary pet sitter for several years and my pets loved her. She is caring, compassionate and dependable. 12. Gwen D.
“Gwen cared for my two kitties as if they were her own. She was able to notice a change in behavior of my 16 yo cat and alerted us in time to help her. She stayed with her until we were able to make arrangements to come home early. My cats really liked her too- which is highly unusual. Would 100% recommend Gwen and would entrust our pets care to her again.”
13. Uli A.
“Due to circumstances, we had to contact Uli on Christmas Day (evening) with a request to help with our puppy while we visited family in her hometown on December 27 and 28. Despite us being total strangers, she agreed to help us out and we were able to have some great time with family because we knew she was someone we could trust with our little buddy. She went way above and beyond, making our anxious pup feel safe and even leaving “treats” of both canine and human types. She is awesome. I can’t recommend her strongly enough!”
14. Suzanne M.
“Suzanne did a fantastic job taking care of our pup! The communication was outstanding and I never worried about her for a second. I would love to have her again!”
15. Emily S.
About: Like many folks here, I love dogs. I always have. I grew up with a sweet, shy, dog-reactive pit bull mix, whom I loved. She was a tough case, but I learned a ton about catering to a dog’s specific needs and the importance of setting a dog up for success during that time! Additionally, I spent the majority of the last year fostering dogs through the APS of Durham. It was an amazing experience (a few former fosters are pictured below), and I’ll definitely do it again someday! A bit about me: I graduated from UNC this past December, and I’m living at home with my family for the next few months. I miss fostering dogs and would welcome the chance to care for & love on YOUR pets during this time of transition in my life ☺️! I currently have two jobs, one is remote and very flexible and the other is for a few hours each day in the afternoons. This leaves my mornings from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. free, as well as my evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. I am willing and able to do stop in visits during any of those windows or even a house stay for folks who are gone for longer periods or whose dogs need more intensive care! I’ve cared for quite a few dogs, all with ranging levels of reactivity. I’m very comfortable advocating for a dogs needs/space, and will do everything in my power to make sure every dog gets to walk and play in an environment that sets them up for success. Additionally whenever I go on longer walks, I always make sure to carry a small med kit and enough water for both me and the dog for the entirety of the walk. As it’s summer, I am keeping walks shorter for most dogs with the heat, and I primarily walk on unpacked surfaces to avoid any issues.
16. Molly R.
“Molly was great with my two cats while I was away for a few days. Gave them lots of love and play time, sent pics and updates and followed all care instructions. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again!”
17. Mackenzie F.
“We are beyond thankful for Mackenzie's amazing care of our 3 big pups! She promptly communicated any issues that came up during our trip and made us feel like our beloved babies were in good hands while we were away. She sent lots and lots of pics (which we begged for!) which showed how much she loved being with them and how tired she made them from play time. Lots of tongues 😂. We were so pleased and impressed with Mackenzie. We will be reaching out to her again as soon as we need a sitter for our pups! We cannot recommend her enough!”
18. Holden V.
“Holden has an incredible passion for animals and a deep, genuine love for all creatures. At home, he cares for a variety of pets, including dogs, fish, and even critters he rescues from the woods and creeks. He has extensive experience in animal care, including administering insulin to a diabetic, blind dog—a responsibility he managed with dedication for years while finding creative ways to engage and play with her. His fearless connection with animals extends to being certified in venomous reptile handling and capture, showcasing his commitment and skill. Holden dreams of becoming an anthrozoologist and working as an animal ambassador for the North Carolina Zoo, a role perfectly suited to his knowledge, compassion, and enthusiasm. In caring for others’ pets, he has demonstrated exceptional empathy and attentiveness—spending nights by a dog’s crate to provide comfort, administering medications consistently, and ensuring their emotional well-being. His actions reflect a unique blend of compassion, responsibility, and expertise, making him an extraordinary advocate for animal care and welfare.”
19. Haiden S.
“Haiden R. is a responsible, dedicated and caring petsitter. My dog has thrived in her care, and is always excited to see her. I can highly recommend Haiden to any owner who wants peace of mind when they need to be away from their pets.”
20. Kaelyn T.
“Kaelyn has always been an animal lover especially of dogs. She is currently in school at Tech as a Dairy Science Major. She ultimately wants to be a vet. She works in the summer at a veterinarian's office. She has had numerous pets over the years, and she has previously dog sit on several occasions. She would be a wonderful dog sitter.”
