“Fantastic job, she kept me updated on my cats while I was away. Also when the power went out, she went right over to make sure they were safe and put my mind at ease! Thank you”

“I love that I can leave for the weekend and never have to worry about my pupper! He loves Raechel and Mitchell and they take such good care of him. Thanks again guys!”

About: I have always loved being around animals, but due to my living circumstances and travel activities, owning a pet has become complicated. After retiring in 2022, I stumbled upon pet/house sitting as a means to satisfy my travel urge and my desire to be around animals. In the three years I have been house sitting, I have cared for dozens of family pets in cities all around the US. I have a part time job working a few hours just a couple of mornings a week at a YMCA. However, I have plenty of room in my schedule when I am not traveling. Rover makes it possible for me to satisfy the urge for animal companionship when I am in KC. I do not have the space or circumstances to allow me to care for other people's pets in my home. However, I am willing to travel to your home to care for your pet when you cannot do so yourself. If you need to be gone overnight, I am willing to come and offer your pet the companionship they need to feel comfortable and safe. Similarly, I am happy to do drop-ins to let them out, feed them, take them for walks, clean their litter boxes, etc. As mentioned, I have been actively involved in pet sitting on TrustedHouseSitters for the past three years and have many 5-star reviews for my efforts.

“Traci was the best! She sent pictures every day and loved on my cat, Malachi, while we were away on vacation. Thank you so much for the great first time experience! 10/10 recommend ?”

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs, specifically my 13 year old senior min-pin who I had since I was 7. As a teenager, I helped raise our other two pitties since they were 8 weeks old. I’m currently enjoying my free time for about a month before I leave for basic training. I love being around animals so I figured helping other owners was perfect while I wait. I offer drop-in visits and dog walking, and I believe it’s crucial to understand the pet’s habits before I arrive so I know what to expect. I have an 80lb reactive lab who I walk every single day so I know how to deal with those behaviors. I’m familiar with all kinds of toys, puzzle feeders, slow feeders, E-collars, administering meds, and more.

“Megan took care of our 2 cats while we were on vacation. She did a great job caring for them, playing and interacting with them every time she visited. We will definitely be looking her up next time we go out of town.”

“Great animal care provider! 2nd time and always communicates any concerns about the cats. Specifically we had a cat get out and Aiden was more than helpful In finding our little Luna as she was outside when we left out of town. A+ service.”

“Nicole did extremely well. Great communication through out, and took good care of both cats. Our cats are not friendly at all, and routinely hide from strangers, but by the end of her care period, they were brave enough to show themselves so we got to see pictures of them, which is a sign that she was really good with them.”

“Amber and her sweet family were so great with our elderly kitty! She was kind and professional, and took great care of our cat while we were away. Our kitty has some medical needs and requires daily medication, which Amber handled like a pro. I'd highly recommend her!”

About: I have grown up with pets for most of my life, and currently live with two dogs of various sizes. I was raised doing the 4-H program, and learned how to train dogs through that program. I have cared for my own pets as well as pets of family friends and neighbors. I am currently going to school and am in my Student Teaching year. That being said, most late afternoons and early evenings are free as well as most weekends. For the pets that I have grown up with, we have free fed them their food and water, and they had a doggy door to be able to leave and enter the house whenever they please. For future clients, I plan to do as instructed. If that means letting their pet outside twice a day or more, AWESOME! If there is a specific diet a pet needs, don't worry. I've got you covered.

About: I feel I am great with interacting with animals. I make sure they are shown love when I am with them and I make sure they are well taken care of and in a clean area. I will be a college student and will use my free time to make sure your animals are cared for. Some days I may not be able to but I will do my best to make things work. Our dog is treated with love. She is like a human in our home. She eats with us at the same time and gets to play and hangout with us wherever. We take her on walks and we make sure she is loved.
