Leilani struggles with separation anxiety and tends to get pretty depressed when I go on vacation, so leaving her is always a little stressful for me. Katya was wonderful about communicating throughout my trip, which I really appreciated. But what impressed me most was how well Leilani seemed to do emotionally while I was gone. Normally, when I come home from a trip, Leilani makes sure I know just how unhappy she is that I left her. I usually get the cold shoulder for hours, sometimes even days, before she decides to forgive me and return to her normal, affectionate self. This time, it took just minutes! That’s a pretty big deal. She seemed happy, relaxed, and so much better adjusted than she typically does after I’ve been away. I really believe that says a lot about the attention, patience, and care Katya gave her. What I appreciated most is that Katya clearly understands there’s more to caring for a cat than making sure they’re fed and their litter box is clean. Their emotional well-being matters, too. I’m genuinely grateful to have found Katya and wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with Leilani again. After reading through A LOT of sitter profiles, Marcea stood out the most to us as someone we felt could be a good fit. Our 9yrs old bloodhound had a rough start in life, and came to me at 2yrs old as an anxious, leash-aggressive, separation anxiety, osteo-arthritic, quirky dog. Through behavioral training and medication management, his life is more calm and stable, but he requires structure, routine, and calm patient love and understanding. After a combining households move that put our dog hanging at home alone 3 days a week, I knew we needed to hire someone for drop-in visits. Enter Marcea. Our slow-to-trust anxious boy took to Marcea instantly! She is so kind and calm and loving with him, he looks so much happier after work on scheduled drop-ins. And when the trash can got left in the kitchen and our dog, true to his bloodhound nature, needed to investigate and eat the fine trash can delicacies, Marcea instantly sprung into action. She contacted us immediately out of concern for our pup and his safety, and luckily there wasn’t anything in the garbage that was life threatening, but what a relief she was there (and she cleaned up the mess without any complaint or chastising). If you, like me, have a pup with quirks and anxiety and leaving them alone or with a new person makes you nervous and alters your lifestyle, do yourself a favor and hire Marcea. “Heather took absolutely amazing care of our two cats while we were on vacation. We were a bit worried about going away since we hadn't left them alone in months but by the first day we knew they were in great hands. About: I have always loved dogs and I have my own pet husky, Axel! I think enrichment is crucial for pet care and I will keep your pup entertained with lots of love, exercise, and cuddles :) I recently graduated from UW Seattle and I am looking for pet-sitting gigs in the meantime. About: I've been a pet sitter, staying in homes for months to care for large breed dogs as well as having dogs stay with me. I've also owned large breed dogs. Currently I have a petite 80lb Mountain Cur. He loves all dogs too. I've taken care of dogs of all ages and all sizes. I work from home fulltime. I have a separate office shed in my yard with a dog door so my pup (and others) can come and go as needed while I work. Working at a computer all day means I need to go for a walk too, so I like to get out with my dog at least twice a day for a walk. He also has a large fenced yard to play in and indoor spaces to snooze. Pets are allowed on the furniture and in bed in my house. I keep a water bowl indoors and outdoors. The pets always have the opportunity to be inside if they want to be or outside.

I love walking, running and hiking but I enjoy relaxing with low key or slower dogs as well. I have some experience with dog training and volunteered for the county animal shelter.
