I adopted a staffy mix in 2014 and we had 9 great years together before she passed. I’m not ready to adopt again, so until then, I’d like to help others. My friends will bring their dogs when they visit me and my cats do well. I don’t have a yard per se but there is a lot of open space for frequent walks/potty breaks. My apartment complex is very pet-friendly. I am on the 2nd floor, so there are 2 sets of steps that may make it hard for older dogs. I often do overnights and stay with pets in their own home to maximize their comfort and keep their routines intact. I’m flexible based on your individual needs. One of my interests is in animal behavior. I have read many books (my favorites are from Patricia B. McConnell) My philosophy is we are training everyday. Consistency is important to me and for them, so I will ask many questions during the meet and greet stage to understand their needs and know how to best support you both. The cat food is raised off the floor and litter boxes are located in the main living space and are scooped immediately.

About: I’ve grown up with many pets from the age of two. But since I was probably 13 I’ve been pet sitting for family friends, family members, and neighbors. I currently have 3 dogs, a cat, and a rabbit. And I am always learning about animals and how to best care for them. I am currently working part-time. But my job is very flexible.
