“SirJahad was a fantastic housesitter for my 5 month old puppy and cat. He sent plenty of pictures and detailed messages over the three days we were away. He followed our instructions and took our rambunctious dog on several walks daily.”

“One of the most important things when our family goes away is making sure we have a caring, responsible sitter for our dog, Bucky. Alyssa is amazing! We can go away and be certain that Bucky will be loved and cared for! We highly recommend her!❤️”

“Angela stayed at our house and watched our two dogs and two cats! Everyone was happy, fed and safe under her care. We would have Angela back to house sit and care for our babies again!”

“Christina is wonderful to our pups. She is very friendly and did everything we asked. She is also very responsive and accommodating. Our pups and house is very well taken. Will use Christina in the future!”

“James went over and above the call of duty!!! Not only did he save me from a horrible sitter but treated by dog like a queen!!! I can't thank Rover and James enough for saving my trip.”

“Sam was a wonderful sitter for both the house and my animals! She sent me constant updates with photos and just made me feel tremendously at ease! She really takes great pride in the job she does caring for our animals and appreciated that so much. Will definitely be booking her again and encourage anyone to do the same!”

“Thanks to Greg we were finally able to go away without our needy pets. We were able to relax because Greg did a great job of connecting with our pets and communicating with us. He followed all of our detailed instructions and cleaned up like he was never here. We hope to hire Greg again for more housesitting. His care is much appreciated.”

About: I grew up in Washington DC and I graduated from Wesleyan University in 2024. I am currently a full time student at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine! Before I wanted to be a doctor I dreamed of being a veterinarian. I wanted to be around animals and care for them so badly that my parents signed me up for Cub Creek Science Camp (an animal camp). After two years as a camper, I got the opportunity to be an Animal Specialist in Training! This came with the responsibility of caring after the animals at the camp and leading activities for the campers. I grew always having dogs around the house and being at animal camp allowed me to learn about caring for all animals (cats, snakes, rodents, birds, etc.). I approach animal care with the utmost responsibility and care. Please note, I am very familiar and comfortable with specialized care. I have two senior dogs and one of them is blind. I am currently a medical school student so I have time in my schedule to look after your pups and kitties! Because of my class schedule I am free to do walks, drop ins, and house sitting. I care for my pets daily and ensure they have everything they need to be happy and healthy. I love animals and approach every pet the same way I do my own. I want to gain an understanding of your pets’ regular routine and replicate that so they feel the most comfortable once I begin caring for them.
“My husband and I would 100% trust our dog with David. We have an anxious pup and was worried about strangers meeting him but from the first meet, our dog was very comfortable with David. He gave punctual updates while we were gone and the visit went smoothly. When my husband and I came back home, we found a very nice handwritten card, chocolates, and even a dog toy from David! A very nice gesture and the kind of generous person we would invite back to our home to care for our pup. Thanks for your help David!!”

“Ashiera was great house sitting for us and took great care of both of our Huskies. They seemed very comfortable & happy with her here. Will definitely use her again if/when we need them cared for again. Thanks Ashiera!”

“Victoria was excellent to our cats. She gave them all the time and attention they needed while we were gone and despite them not generally being warm to strangers she got one of cats to pet her which is huge for a stranger to come in and do.”

“What a gem Kim is!! I have a 7 month old HIGH energy GSP mix and when I tell you guys this puppy mom was stressin about going away this weekend for my husbands birdhday/father's day weekend..I was stressin'! Should I stay home? Who can handle this puppy? Will he be okay with a sitter? Will THEY be okay with my Max? But Kim eased all those worries for me. We did a meet and greet with Max first. (which put me at ease that he would be just fine with her) While we were away, Kim sent frequent updates and kept reassuring me that he was a sweetheart and that he's just simply a puppy! She even brought in the mail for us. What a relief it is to know that my fur baby was well taken care of and that he didn't drive Kim away 😆😆. We will most definitely be using Kim again in the future! Thank you Kim!”

“Gabrielle went out of her way to handle a medical emergency for our dog while we were in Peru. Our dog got into some medicine, so Gabrielle called our vet, and she called the animal hospital, and called poison control. She kept us informed all along the way and we really appreciate how much she cares about our dog! And her knowledge on what to do in an emergency really impressed us!”

“Catherine was fantastic! She took great care of our puppy Phyllis and our 2 kitty cats, Frankie and Mimi and our home, and her communication was absolutely top‑notch. I got regular updates that made me feel totally relaxed while I was away. I came home to a happy pup and a house that looked perfect. Highly recommend Catherine! I’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Gibbsboro
Alek was great with our dog Charlie. He made a last minute meet and greet a positive experience which led to a last minute booking. We knew Charlie would be well taken care of. Alek was very respectful of our home and we would book again without any hesitation. In fact we did book another house sitting service upon our return home!!!

Bridget was very helpful on short notice when I needed an overnight pet sitter for my anxious Doberman. She sent me a lot of pictures and updates throughout her stay with him. Made me feel like she genuinely cared for him and made me feel at ease while I was away.

Ashiera watched our two dogs in our home while we were away. She was amazing! Our pups were well cared for and so happy and comfortable with all the attention they received. Ashiera was wonderful and kept us updated with messages and photos which gave us total peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend!

Lauren was very easy to work with from our first conversation. She took notes and followed our instructions well. Lauren also sent updates through out her stay with Marlee, which I appreciate so much! I am happy to say we have found a house sitter for Marlee going forward when we go away. Our home was respected and taken care of. I would absolutely recommend Lauren if you are looking for a pleasant, responsible person to care for your pets!
Thanks Alyssa for taking care of my babies. I always feel comfortable traveling when she is with them. My home was tidy after her stay, and most of all my girls were happy and content. Merry Christmas and a very happy new year! Will stay in touch for my next adventure!❤️💚

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Gibbsboro on Rover is $65.56 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,246 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Gibbsboro. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Gibbsboro walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Gibbsboro maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Gibbsboro choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gibbsboro. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
