About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. There has not been a time where I wasn’t caring for pets. I have also watched my friends and family’s pets. I have given medicine when needed. I work full time but that doesn’t stop me from loving furry friends. I am able to walk, play, and take care of pets before and after work. About: I have been an animal lover my entire life. Growing up, I always had at least one animal in my house, from guinea pigs to cats, dogs to parrots, I’ve always loved having a furry friend around. I currently have one cat who is my absolute world. I promise to bring that love and affection to every animal. I’m not the type that is satisfied with taking a dog for a quick walk around the block and leaving him or her alone. They deserve to be treated like the family members that they are! I also understand that some animals have special needs and I am very patient when it comes to making time for those needs. Let me know if you have any questions for me! I only work until about 5pm most weekdays so if your furry friend needs some late night attention, I can definitely provide that. I treat every pet and home as if it were my own. All pets deserve hugs and kisses upon arrival and a kiss goodbye every day. They’re fur babies after all! I am very diligent about cleaning up after my cat and it will be no different when it comes to your pet: cans of food get rinsed out and go in the recycling bin, doggy poop bags go in the trash, and litter boxes get scooped every day. About: I have lived with dogs my entire life but I truly started caring for dogs when I was 11 years old. My family adopted an Akita who was 100lbs+ and I helped care and train him from ages 3 months to 8 years. I have experience with medium and very large dogs, specifically reactive dogs. I am very big on maintaining healthy boundaries and gaining the trust of your dog, especially on walks. I also am experienced in bathing dogs with different fur/hair types as I have also worked with doodles. I hope to another person your dog can trust. I am an early bird and have no problem with early morning walks and care. I am currently studying as well so my schedule varies throughout the year. I am always free on Sundays and Tuesdays and Thursdays after 12:00 pm or before 9:30 am. I like to be familiar with the outdoor space your dog spends the most time in and other dogs (if known) that live on the street. It is also very important to me to be aware of any allergies or sensitivities your pet might have as I want them to be safe inside and outside. I interviewed 2 sitters. My Daisy is very skittish. As expected, she ran and hid when the first sitter arrived. She was just re-emerging when Sandy arrived. While Daisy was still very standoffish, she did not go back into hiding while Sandy was there, so I felt Sandy was a better fit. While I was away, I did peek in with my security camera a couple times to make sure everything was going OK (which I informed Sandy I might do). Sandy won Daisy over by day 2 or 3! She didn't run into hiding when Sandy arrived, and she even spent some time playing. Sandy approached Daisy in a gentle way and spoke softly and sweetly to her to make her understand there was no threat. I would definitely recommend Sandy and would use her services again.
