“I had to find a pet sitter fairly last minute and was able to connect with Amanda. Thank you for being so flexible, attentive and communicative during your drop in visit! It gave me great peace of mind knowing that my 2 cats would be ok while I was away. Would highly recommend Amanda for your pet sitting needs!”

“Luna has been fantastic! So caring; my cat, Romy, loves Luna (the other one is too shy). Luna did a great job and followed all my instructions, which I greatly appreciate. Unfortunately Romy seems disappointed that I’m back home - and I’m not joking!!! Already booked again!”

“Andrew was fantastic with our cats, and knowing they were in such good hands really allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation. We have a 1 year old and a 20+ year old, and he did a great job giving each what they needed, whether more play or more snuggle time. He sent us daily photos that showed how relaxed and at ease they were with him, and both seemed happy and confident when we arrived home. We plan to use Andrew again for all upcoming trips!”

“This was our first time trying a sitter from Rover for our newly adopted cat and it turned out to be a great experience. Ingrid was super lovely and nice to work with. She has significant experience taking care of cats, so she took great care of our Spooky. She asked all the important questions before we left — about his vet, any stressors he might have, emergency situations. We felt very comfortable leaving Spooky with her. She also left us a very sweet Christmas card and some sweet treats. Overall, it was a very positive experience.”

“Gina was a huge help when I had to go out of town at the last minute! She’s very knowledgeable about caring for cats, and she was very sweet and patient with my two shy guys!”

About: I originally started work at a dog daycare and transitioned to pet-care in 2023. I have two cats of my own; Lizzy and Thomas. Upon request, I can absolutely water plants and check mail if you need the extra help. I will jog with your dog! I'm able to do over-night stays and drop-ins. On my spare time, I enjoy exercising and cooking. My favorite things to make are chili and chocolate chip cookies! I lock doors and if I’m pet sitting, I take direct instructions from the owner. If I’m dog sitting- I always have double the amount of poop bags. My cell phone is always with me.

About: Hi, I’m Maggie! 🐾 Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a family of professional dog trainers who also own a dog daycare and grooming business, so I’ve been surrounded by all kinds of pets since day one. That early exposure taught me not only how to care for animals, but also how to understand their unique personalities, body language, and needs. I’ve spent years providing reliable care for both cats and dogs—whether that’s cat sitting for shy seniors who just want a cozy lap, or keeping high-energy pups entertained with walks and playtime. I have two dogs of my own, Lady and her daughter Petunia, who are both friendly with other dogs. For pups who prefer their space, I have plenty of room to keep my dogs comfortably separated. Before these girls, I shared 12 wonderful years with my previous dog, so I truly understand the responsibility and love that comes with long-term pet companionship. I’m experienced in: • Caring for pets of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to seniors • Following special diets and feeding routines • Administering medications when needed • Providing safe, positive interactions for social pets • Respecting boundaries for pets who prefer alone time When your pets are in my care, they’ll be treated like family—safe, happy, and loved. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, play sessions, or simply making sure they feel comfortable while you’re away, I go above and beyond to ensure their well-being. Your pets deserve someone who cares as much as you do—and that’s exactly what I provide. Because I work from home 4 days a week, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I can take dogs out for regular potty breaks, play in the yard, or provide cuddle time between work tasks. For cats, I can offer frequent check-ins, play sessions, and make sure litter boxes are always fresh. My flexible schedule means I can adjust walks, feeding times, and visits to match your pet’s usual routine—helping them feel comfortable and stress-free while you’re away In My Home: I provide a safe, pet-friendly space where animals can feel comfortable and secure. My home is pet-proofed, with plenty of space for play, relaxation, and quiet time. I have two friendly dogs, Lady and Petunia, who enjoy meeting new friends—but I also have the ability to keep them separate if a guest prefers their own space. Fresh water is always available, and I follow each pet’s feeding and exercise schedule exactly as requested. In Your Home: I treat your home with the same care and respect I give my own. I make sure doors and gates are secure at all times, follow your pet’s established routines, and provide detailed updates so you can relax knowing everything is going smoothly. I’m experienced with administering medications, following special diets, and ensuring pets are never left unattended in unsafe situations. My Approach: Whether in my home or yours, my goal is to create a safe, calm, and happy environment. I use positive reinforcement, gentle handling, and close supervision to keep pets comfortable. Trust and communication are key—I keep pet parents updated with messages, photos, and videos so you can see your pet is loved and well cared for.

“Valerie helped us to watch our cat while we were away. We booked extended visits for her to play with a cat because he is super sociable and was sad while we were away - Valerie did a great job playing and taking care of a cat! I'd love to book her again in the future.”

About: Going out of town? Your dog will love our friendly Evanston home located near Lake Michigan beaches and forest preserves. We provide weekly adventures such as trips to the dog beach and pooch park, walks in the neighborhood, playtime in our fenced in backyard, and lots of love and attention. Why I love dog sitting I have had dogs in my family since I was born. I grew up in rural areas in the Midwest, and we always had at least one family dog of varying breeds. When I became an adult, I got a black lab puppy from my sister, who had rescued its mother while it was pregnant. I became very interested in dog training, reading any books I could get my hands on and applying their techniques. My lab, Asia, became the gentlest, most well-trained dog most people had ever met. We lost her at age 13; since then, we have always had a lab as a family pet and we have taken care of countless other breeds. About my yard We have a fenced back yard--it is a 6 foot fence around the perimeter with a 5 foot chain link fence between our yard and our friendly neighbor's yard. There is an open area where the dogs can roam freely, a concrete patio, and a vegetable garden that lines one side of the house between our yard and our neighbor's yard. Dogs are supervised by an adult when they are in our yard--we do not leave them unattended. The majority of your dog's outdoor time will be spent on walks and outings. I am a teacher, so I have weekends and holidays off. In addition, I have 2 young adults and a teen living with me who often help by cuddling and playing with our clients. We do not crate our clients unless upon request. Dogs are free to lounge on beds or furniture. No dog likes to be left behind, but we will do our very best to ease your pup's stress. I have over many years of pet boarding and training experience.

About: I have taken care of all types of dogs of all ages since as early as I can remember. I understand how important it is for dogs to get enough exercise and outside time by going on walks and always make sure there is fresh water and they were fed. I believe dogs are family members and I know how truly special dogs are to their owners and I would love to help you with yours! I am an incoming graduate student at Northwestern University who's classes start in September, so I have a lot of free time this summer! I currently don't have any other time commitments so I am able to make whatever you need work! I understand safety is important and I am able to take any precautions that are necessary. I will always do whatever you do for your current routine to make sure your dog is safe and comfortable, I can put your dog in its crate if need be, use a leash in the backyard for potty breaks, etc.

About: I grew up with cats and rabbits but raised and trained a puppy a few years ago (who we still cherish), I've been a go to dog and cat sitter for many friends and family members and am happy to adhere to whatever routines and training techniques each animal is accustomed to! I also have experience with all sorts of dogs as a volunteer at the local rescue. I'm currently working part time and my husband works nights so there's almost always someone around to tend to the cuties! We do have our own medium sized dog so they would need to meet first ideally but she's always gotten along with every dog we've watched so it shouldn't be an issue! We generally take our dog out at least 5+ times per day but can be accommodating to whatever demands your pet has. We have a fenced balcony in our apartment and plenty of space for the pets to play. Additionally, we have a fenced in dog park in our neighborhood (two actually) and we maintain a state park pass that we can take up to 3 dogs at a time to for a fun daily adventure!

“Clare is exceptional. If you have a special needs cat who needs oral and/or topical medication, I cannot recommend her enough! Anyone would be lucky to work with Clare, and I hope to work with her again. My cat needed oral and topical medication 2x a day while I was away for a long trip, and Clare was so diligent in following our instructions for her care, was on time coming in, and was very communicative for check ins. She is also outstanding in handling new challenges - right before we left, my cat had a sudden bout of diarrhea. Clare was so patient and meticulous in handling a new medication and schedule, and she was proactive about sending updates about any changes/concerns with my cat. She was incredibly helpful, reliable, and professional during this difficult time. I felt so at ease leaving my cat in her care, and my cat was clearly very content and healthy when I returned. She also went above and beyond in helping keep our place tidy and making sure our plants were also ok. I am so grateful to Clare!”

About: I’ve lived with and loved pets my entire life, and have experience working at a doggie daycare. I have cared for little dogs, big dogs, dogs with medical issues, and dogs with behavioral issues. I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t love! I’m home from school for the summer, and have lots of free time to help care for your pet(s). I can be there morning, afternoon, and evening. When walking a dog who I don’t know, I always use a double leash for extra safety. I always bring the dog’s preferred treats to keep them calm and focused. In the home, I am comfortable crating a dog if the owner uses a crate. Safety is my top priority.

About: I have a lot of experience in caring for animals, because since childhood I had animals at home, I dreamed of being a veterinarian, but chose a different profession. I have two dogs and a cat. I treat animals like children, or better) Your pet will be happy with the time spent with me! I work from home and can take care of your baby in the evenings or on weekends. If within walking distance of my home, up to 3 times a day. I can coach base teams if desired, or just play, whatever you prefer and your dog likes, just tell and I will figure out ;)
