Upon request, I can absolutely water plants and check mail if you need the extra help. I will jog with your dog! I'm able to do over-night stays and drop-ins. On my spare time, I enjoy exercising and cooking. My favorite things to make are chili and chocolate chip cookies! I lock doors and if I’m pet sitting, I take direct instructions from the owner. About: Going out of town? Your dog will love our friendly Evanston home located near Lake Michigan beaches and forest preserves. We provide weekly adventures such as trips to the dog beach and pooch park, walks in the neighborhood, playtime in our fenced in backyard, and lots of love and attention. Why I love dog sitting I have had dogs in my family since I was born. I grew up in rural areas in the Midwest, and we always had at least one family dog of varying breeds. When I became an adult, I got a black lab puppy from my sister, who had rescued its mother while it was pregnant. I became very interested in dog training, reading any books I could get my hands on and applying their techniques. My lab, Asia, became the gentlest, most well-trained dog most people had ever met. We lost her at age 13; since then, we have always had a lab as a family pet and we have taken care of countless other breeds. About my yard We have a fenced back yard--it is a 6 foot fence around the perimeter with a 5 foot chain link fence between our yard and our friendly neighbor's yard. There is an open area where the dogs can roam freely, a concrete patio, and a vegetable garden that lines one side of the house between our yard and our neighbor's yard. Dogs are supervised by an adult when they are in our yard--we do not leave them unattended. The majority of your dog's outdoor time will be spent on walks and outings. I am a teacher, so I have weekends and holidays off. In addition, I have 2 young adults and a teen living with me who often help by cuddling and playing with our clients. We do not crate our clients unless upon request. Dogs are free to lounge on beds or furniture. No dog likes to be left behind, but we will do our very best to ease your pup's stress. I have over many years of pet boarding and training experience.

About: I have taken care of all types of dogs of all ages since as early as I can remember. I understand how important it is for dogs to get enough exercise and outside time by going on walks and always make sure there is fresh water and they were fed. I believe dogs are family members and I know how truly special dogs are to their owners and I would love to help you with yours! I am an incoming graduate student at Northwestern University who's classes start in September, so I have a lot of free time this summer! I currently don't have any other time commitments so I am able to make whatever you need work! I understand safety is important and I am able to take any precautions that are necessary. I will always do whatever you do for your current routine to make sure your dog is safe and comfortable, I can put your dog in its crate if need be, use a leash in the backyard for potty breaks, etc.

About: I grew up with cats and rabbits but raised and trained a puppy a few years ago (who we still cherish), I've been a go to dog and cat sitter for many friends and family members and am happy to adhere to whatever routines and training techniques each animal is accustomed to! I also have experience with all sorts of dogs as a volunteer at the local rescue. I'm currently working part time and my husband works nights so there's almost always someone around to tend to the cuties! We do have our own medium sized dog so they would need to meet first ideally but she's always gotten along with every dog we've watched so it shouldn't be an issue! We generally take our dog out at least 5+ times per day but can be accommodating to whatever demands your pet has. We have a fenced balcony in our apartment and plenty of space for the pets to play. Additionally, we have a fenced in dog park in our neighborhood (two actually) and we maintain a state park pass that we can take up to 3 dogs at a time to for a fun daily adventure!

Anyone would be lucky to work with Clare, and I hope to work with her again. My cat needed oral and topical medication 2x a day while I was away for a long trip, and Clare was so diligent in following our instructions for her care, was on time coming in, and was very communicative for check ins. She is also outstanding in handling new challenges - right before we left, my cat had a sudden bout of diarrhea. Clare was so patient and meticulous in handling a new medication and schedule, and she was proactive about sending updates about any changes/concerns with my cat. She was incredibly helpful, reliable, and professional during this difficult time. I felt so at ease leaving my cat in her care, and my cat was clearly very content and healthy when I returned. She also went above and beyond in helping keep our place tidy and making sure our plants were also ok. I am so grateful to Clare!”

About: I’ve lived with and loved pets my entire life, and have experience working at a doggie daycare. I have cared for little dogs, big dogs, dogs with medical issues, and dogs with behavioral issues. I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t love! I’m home from school for the summer, and have lots of free time to help care for your pet(s). I can be there morning, afternoon, and evening. When walking a dog who I don’t know, I always use a double leash for extra safety. I always bring the dog’s preferred treats to keep them calm and focused. In the home, I am comfortable crating a dog if the owner uses a crate. Safety is my top priority.
