Phoebe took great care of my pups. This was Bea's first time away from home post adoption, and she did really well. Phoebe sent me updates and photos every day, and responded really quickly to any message I sent. I will leave my dogs with Phoebe again soon, and already suggested her to a few friends.

Jennifer took excellent care of Daisey. She sent pictures, answered my questions, and overall I believe my Daisey felt relaxed and was taken good care of, which is what matters. I have no complaints or issues.

I am so thankful for the care Jodie provided my girl! I received pictures and updates on my trip. Jodie was exceptionally flexible and kind enough to let me drop off early and pick up late- I’m so grateful! Scout can’t wait to see Harvey again :)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since i was a little girl, they’re an important part of my life. Every dog that visits will receive a bath if requested! Very good with senior pups! I have a very flexible work, as well as my husbands schedule so always there to do potty breaks and just give some love and attention! I have one dog right now, he’s a 6 year old lab. He’s pretty chill, likes to play & would love to have a buddy to play with!

Chip was amazing on such short notice! He accommodated us at the very last minute when we had some dog sitter plans fall through and I’d say he’s nothing shy of an amazing sitter! After 10 days, our pup came back extremely happy! He is very thorough, attentive, and communicated well. I’ll definitely be booking Chip from now on for all of our dog sitting needs!

About: I’ve owned a cat since I was 5! I know how to do litter and I understand cat language. If you’d be more comfortable, I’d be able to put my cats away in a separate room to care for yours alone and make sure they feel safe. However my cats love other cats and wouldn’t harm yours!:) I would have time everyday after 3pm as I don’t currently have a car so my mom would have to drive me after she works! On saturdays im free all day and sundays after church - so after about 12pm. I have nine cats who I take care of daily and will keep your cat company, if you have a dog however, I’d put my cats away just to be safe!

Beth was such a wonderful caregiver for my pup. She kept us updated several times a day, every day. She shared pictures and let us know if there was anything we should know. I truly knew my dog was in the Best Place she could be while I was away. We have found the place for our pup when we're out of town from now on!

Elizabeth was a life-saver for us! We were coming from NC to attend a family wedding in Erie, and needed a place for our Havanese for the day and overnight of the festivities. Luckily, Elizabeth had an opening and was able to take her into her home. She was very responsive and took excellent care of Maggie for us, and we are very grateful! We would highly recommend Elizabeth! Lyn W. 5/25/2026

Charlie seemed to have a good time with Nyomi and Olive, the other dog there. Nyomi has had a lot of dogsitting experience so she was ready for anything. That was reassuring for Charlie's first visit to her house. We were in Erie from out of town and the situation worked out well.

This was the first time we used Miranda. Roscoe and Miranda got along very well. We would highly recommend her to watch your pet.

FAQs for Boarding - Erie

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Boarding in Erie on Rover is $42.8 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 60 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Erie. About 90% of Erie sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
