“Margaret was wonderful with updates and pictures daily of our little Cooper. I think he was very comfortable with them and had several other playmates throughout his stay. She always let us know when there was a new dog there. Thank you Margaret.”

“My dog typically doesn’t take well to changes in her routine, and she is a one-person dog. Beth provided my dog with exactly what she needed - a low key but attentive week, with opportunities for play, walks, naps and treats. Sofie was obviously relaxed and happy (you can’t fake belly rubs!) and she was in good spirits when I came to get her. I’ll be happy to have Sofie stay with Beth the next time I travel!”

“Stephanie took incredible care of my two pups and It made leaving them much easier. She was in constant communication, provided pictures daily and was extremely caring with them. I will be utilizing her to care for my pups in the future!”
“We just returned from a two week trip over seas leaving our beloved Border Collie, Ellie in the care of Mary. This is the second time we have relied on Mary to help us with pet care for an extended period. True to our past experience with Mary and our expectations Ellie received excellent care and special attention. Mary obviously loves dogs and knows how important they are to the owner and their family. She is highly organized, kind and attentive to the pet’s special needs. Ellie looked great when I picked her up at Mary’s home and behaved as her normal self appearing the happy and calm dog I dropped off two weeks ago. Thank you Mary for enabling us to leave our Ellie for an extended vacation without the worry.”

“Kara takes such great care of my dogs and they felt comfortable with her right away. Thank you for all of the updates and pictures, playing endless fetch with them and for giving them so much love. You are amazing!”

“Deanna was a great sitter for my Labrador. She was very responsive to all messages and easy to work with for the meet and greet, drop off and pick up times. She had a dog of her own and can tell she cares about my dog as if she was one of her own. I would recommend her to others in the area and will use her again if I need the services while I live in the area.”

“Phoebe took great care of my pups. This was Bea's first time away from home post adoption, and she did really well. Phoebe sent me updates and photos every day, and responded really quickly to any message I sent. I will leave my dogs with Phoebe again soon, and already suggested her to a few friends.”

“Nadine was superb! She took excellent care of our dog and updated us daily. She has a very nice set-up for dogs-inside and outside. My dog was very relaxed and happy during her stay. When we picked her up, she was playing with Nadine’s adorable Pomeranian and wasn’t in a hurry to leave. We were very pleased with Nadine!”

“They took great care of my dog while I had to be away. She seemed very happy when I went to pick her up. They were very responsive, kept me updated and sent lots of pictures. I will definitely go to them again!”
“Fynn had a great stay with Megan. She was very warm and friendly. Her whole family spent time playing with him and walking him. She took him to a doggy festival and agility course and even had a little birthday celebration for him with a sombrero and pup cup, so cute. I appreciate all the special attention he received. I would highly recommend Megan to anyone who wants their pup to enjoy their time away too!”

About: Hi there! I'm Farah. I have ample experience with all size dogs and an array of special needs dogs, including caring for disabled dogs, giving meds, and managing strict diets and feeding schedules. I’ll be there when promised and will provide updates and/or photos. I am comfortable with all breed sizes and will prioritize your dog's safety and comfort. My chorkie is attached to me so for any overnight or daytime boarding, he will be present unless otherwise stated. He is 6 pounds now and comfortable with cats and small to medium dogs. He is not fixed yet, so please let me know if your girl dog is not spayed. Weekdays: I am not available 8a-4p on weekdays due to my work schedule, but I am available before or after. For boarding, I can accept crate/pen trained dogs and I come home on break midday for walks and treats. I can't wait to meet your fur baby! I work Monday through Friday 8-4, but I'm free all day after and anytime on the weekends. I am also happy to pop in during my work day on lunch breaks. I'm flexible and can accommodate you and your pets' needs! I provide structure, care, love, and frequent walks for my dog and will treat yours the same way. I also love taking him on adventures to parks throughout Erie.
“Jodie was awesome in taking care of our two labs. We moved to Colorado last year and was looking for someone to care for our labs. One of our pups is older, nervous, and has never been watched by someone other than family. Both of our pups did great! I highly recommend Jodie.”

About: I have had a life time of experience of have pets in my life and care for them as a kid and into an adult. I love the fur babies, we currently have two boxers and a cat. I am able to do dog walks, house sitting, and drop ins at times as needed. Let me know if there are any special needs, meds, diet /directions i needed to follow in caring for your pet. I have given oral and injection meds to my own pets and is comfortable doing so. If there is a special routine that you have with your fur baby and would like to keep going while in my care feel free to make me aware of it to make the stay comfortable for them also. Also any schedule you have are welcome too. I generally go by what instruction that are giving by each owner. I have a large yard. It is current not fence in. I do have running cord for my pets so they can move freely round the yard with supervision. I also live near a dog park so daily walks are available. My dogs love car ride too, so those are also include in their stay if they are one who love to ride.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Erie
Elizabeth was a life-saver for us! We were coming from NC to attend a family wedding in Erie, and needed a place for our Havanese for the day and overnight of the festivities. Luckily, Elizabeth had an opening and was able to take her into her home. She was very responsive and took excellent care of Maggie for us, and we are very grateful! We would highly recommend Elizabeth! Lyn W. 5/25/2026
Charlie seemed to have a good time with Nyomi and Olive, the other dog there. Nyomi has had a lot of dogsitting experience so she was ready for anything. That was reassuring for Charlie's first visit to her house. We were in Erie from out of town and the situation worked out well.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
