Alexis did an outstanding job! She kept informed and sent lots of pictures. She even got out mail and cleaned our sink! She also had to regularly straighten all the throw rugs from kitty mayhem and didn’t complain at all.

Victoria went above and beyond taking care of my cat for over a week. He was sure spoiled! She cleaned his litter boxes, water dish, and food dish. She bought him new toys and treats. She is very reliable and trustworthy. If you looking for someone to take care of your fur baby look no further. This is the one you get. I will sure be using her services in the future. Nothing better than being on vacation and not having to worry about my baby at home. He currently is waiting at the door crying as I think he misses her.

Lauren is fantastic! She watched our two cats for a long week, and she kept us up-to-date on who she did or didn’t see; sent photos when possible; cleaned the litter box and gave fresh water daily; and was very reliable and great at communicating!

Monica was absolutely wonderful!!! we had to cancel a vacation last month because our usual sitter went out of town for the summer. We had two other trips booked, and we didn’t know what we were going to do. We found Monica on rover.com and she was amazing! She did such a great job taking care of our kitty Salem! We will definitely refer her to our friends and family. We will also be using her in the future! I can say with total confidence, your pets will be in good hands out with Monica!

About: I have been dog and cat sitting for six years, and have had in home pets my whole life! I have experience with senior pets and am happy to help with any mobility needs. I am open to caring for puppies and kittens, but they must be potty trained. I work 8am-4:30pm and can take a lunch break to let pets out as needed! Happy to spend the night with a pet, or just pop for a bathroom break! During the holidays I am available for drop in visits but not for overnights. I am also happy to do early morning at evening visits if that suits your pet's needs. I am not able to care for pets at my house at this time, however I am happy to spend the night somewhere else if need be (after being able to visit with the pet parents present). I am also happy to walk or play with pets to get them some exercise! I have also done several sittings where I do not spend the night at the pet's house, but do a late night and early morning visit to ensure they get their bathroom breaks. Either of these options are available!

About: I’ve always had animals my entire life of all sorts and prefer their company. Naturally animals are comfortable in my presence. I am basically Snow White. Pet care is a regular part of my routine that I could easily adapt to your requirements. I work a few hour during the week for a few days and have plenty of time to accommodate your needs. I have fenced yard if necessary for run time. But I can make time to visit the home of your pets for their comfort ability.

About: Hi there! I've been doing canine caretaking on the Rover platform since 2023. My property is a located on the same street as the McClelland Dog Park, a 5-minute walk. As veteran dog owners, we make regular use of it! Prior to doing Rover, I frequently helped friends and family with their dogs for many years. Nearly everyone I know has pets and I've hosted dozens in my home. My clients love the close proximity to a public park with trails. Currently I have 2 dogs - Ellie and Bishop. My yard is fully fenced and your dog will enjoy plenty of outside play time with Ellie and Bishop, as well as trail walks and trips to the dog park. I also live a 5-minute drive from the nearest veterinary clinic, and I have room for crates. I also offer professional photography services for your pet for an extra fee. Ask about it during your dog's stay if interested! I work a regular day job, but it's very close to home so I come home daily for lunch to and for the dogs and run them in the yard. Off on weekends with fairly open schedule. Ellie and Bishop are exercised daily and worked with often, and are very well behaved with both dogs and people. The backyard is directly connected to a public park with trails. Yard gates are secured with locks and monitored with cameras.

About: I’ve pet sit for family friends since I was a teenager. I’ve also owned reptiles for the last few years and currently have a bearded dragon, crested gecko, and whites tree frogs. I went to school for animal care and received my degree in Aquarium & Zoo Sciences, as well as a degree in Psychology. I also took up minors in American Sign Language and Animal-Assisted Health and Education. During my college years I completed two separate 400+ hour internships with over forty different species of domestic and exotic animals. I also completed a 52 hour animal care practicum with a licensed dog trainer. Other required courses included an animal care class, dog training course, and cat training course. In addition to my coursework I was an employee of, and eventually student manager of, my campus aquatics lab. I have now been a zookeeper for going on a year, which has made me comfortable with administering various topical and oral medications. I currently work full time but am happy to spend mornings, lunch breaks, and evenings with your critters! I consistently have two weekdays off, on which I am 100% available for your pet care needs :) I currently rent, so I am unable to care for animals in my home. However, I am happy to stay or stop by wherever you might need! I am a quick study and will readily adapt to any animals schedule or needs :)

About: I've always been an animal lover and have spent years caring for pets for family, friends, neighbors, and my dad's clients. Being the person people trust with their pets is something I take seriously and truly enjoy. I love getting to know each pet's personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. My goal is to provide loving, reliable care and give pet owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands. Right now, I have an open and flexible schedule while I’m looking for work, so I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care throughout the day. I offer dependable, detail-oriented pet care for dogs, cats, and small animals such as rabbits, reptiles, and fish. My approach is centered on consistency, safety, and comfort following each pet’s routine closely while providing calm, attentive care. Whether it’s feeding, cleaning, walks, or companionship, I make sure every pet feels relaxed, respected, and cared for like family.

I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including feeding, walking, administering basic medications, cleaning litter boxes, and providing plenty of attention and affection. As an early childhood special education teacher, I am patient, responsible, dependable, and attentive to individual needs. I bring that same level of care and compassion to every pet I look after. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I will make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands. I am off most of the summer from teaching and I am home by 4 on the days that I do work. I am available most weekends and week days When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while their family is away. I will provide fresh food and water, walks and potty breaks, playtime, exercise, litter box cleaning, and lots of affection and attention based on your pet’s individual needs. As of July 2026, there are 176 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Erie. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Erie stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Erie. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
