About: I'm a self-employed writer, editor and newsletter author. I grew up with dogs, have owned several dogs, and have cared for other people's dogs since my beagle, Bailey, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2021. I missed her so much I started offering dog/house sitting services. Dogs are such great company and I know how important it is to have peace of mind about their care when you’re away. I take pride in personal, hands-on pet care. I have the ability to work from home most days, so I will have plenty of time to walk, play and snuggle with your dog. If I'm staying in your home and pet/house sitting, I bring my computer and work with me, so I will be with your dog as much as possible. I prefer to host/care for dogs that are crate trained and come with a crate. I have a partially fenced yard. I expect that I will walk your dog several times a day and only take your dog in our yard on a leash or lead and with supervision. At your home, I will maintain your dog's schedule and routines.

With her veterinary background, you can be confident that your beloved pets are in the safest, most knowledgeable hands. “I am so happy that we found Carly to take care of our chocolate lab, Laika. Carly sent me picture and text updates, and was amazingly flexible with us when our flight back to Syracuse got delayed, and then got delayed again! We felt very confident that Laika was well taken care of, and we will absolutely seek Carly out again next time we need to board our dog. Would definitely recommend!”

About: Working late and need someone to let out Fido? Look no further! I am more than ready to walk, play, and care for your furry family member! I am quite prepared and familiar with handling animals as I've pet-sat for family and friends as side work before joining Rover. Additionally, I also offer a year of animal care experience through my local veterinary office and am CPR certified! When I'm not with animals I am a full time employee at Upstate as an ultrasound technologist! I have no children or other pets in my home which allows me to dedicate all my attention to your pet to provide the upmost care and handling. I hope I can meet your furry friend soon! I currently work night shift which means I am awake and ready to start my day in the late afternoon! Additionally I only work 4 days a week which allows 3 full days to myself to walk and board dogs! I live in a smoke free/pet free apartment which means boarding your pet would allow them to get my sole undivided attention. I have no children so my day to day life consists of my solitude - walking on Rover is more of an escape for me and a way to go out more (with the company of a furry friend!)
