About: Hello! I'm Ashley. I am 34 years old. I am from Stuart, FL. I am working in Bar Harbor for the summer from April to October. I have always been an animal lover and if I could afford a farm and have every type of animal in it... I would. I have owned, dogs, fish, and birds. I have had dogs most of my life. I had a Jack Russell who lived to be 11 years old named Romeo...He was a ball of energy, he had eye problems and needed drops daily. I also had a Rat Terrier named Oliver, we bought him at a year old. He lived to be 14 years old. Most recently my sister currently has a mini golden doodle, who is 4 years old. I loved taking my dogs on the trails in the parks. If I didn’t travel so much, I would love a dog of my own. I work seasonal contract jobs outside the National parks, mainly in the summer season. I go walking everyday & I would love to bring your pup with me. I am renting a place with other people so I would have to go to their home. I am very attentive and can play with them in the yard or whatever is asked.

About: I have always had dogs in my life, and I currently have 3 of my own. I worked in veterinary emergency and critical care for 2 years and spent several months at a fear-free general practice before needing to take a step back from vetmed. I have 6 years of personal experience with dog training and behavior, and spent some time volunteering for a rescue on the administrative end. I am very knowledgeable on dog behavior/body language and I am comfortable working with a wide range of temperaments, ages, and breeds. Puppies, medical/behavioral needs pups, and seniors are my specialty! I am also RECOVER CPR certified. My schedule is wide open most days, and we are a very active family! We frequently go for hikes and spend time with our dogs in nature. My whole world revolves around animals and I love being able to experience the great outdoors with dogs. I use reward-based/force-free handling techniques with any dog I interact with. I try my hardest to set dogs up for success in my interactions with them - I am not afraid to spend as much time as needed to gain the trust of a fearful dog before attempting to interact directly. I am a strong believer in using body language, reward, and moving at the dog's pace to ensure dogs make good choices and have a positive experience every time they interact with me. I treat all pets I interact with as if they are my own!

About: Animals have always been a passion of mine. I grew up with several different animals and have always loved being around them and taking care of them! At a very young age I really wanted to work with animals and that same passion of working with them is still the same today! As of right now, my schedule varies! I could be working any shift from 6:30-2:30, 7:30-4:30, 9:15-5:15, or 12:15-5:15. I am a new mom who is trying to make ends meet but working still isn’t helping because daycare is so expensive! I am really trying to pet sit part time or even full time! My weekends and holidays are always open except for the occasional family trips in the summer! I do not have a fenced in yard at my home so that means that your fur babies will be kept on a leash when taking them outside. Your fur babies will also be kept company by 2 friendly dogs and 2 friendly cats! I also have to crate one of my dogs so I can easily crate dogs if needed!

About: I have worked with a variety of pets from cats and dogs to exotics like lizards and snakes. I am more than happy to help with all pet care needs, from puppy pads to pills, and maybe even a scaly friend or two. :) I work 8-5 Sat-Tues and 12-9 on Fri, but have Wednesday and Thursday off each week. If your furry friend needs a midday walk or some loving while you work I would be happy to stop in on my days off! Willing to adapt to your pets needs. Easy walk around the block? Absolutely! Roughhousing at the dog park? No problem! Every pet is different and needs attention that suits their care needs.

About: I love dogs (and cats) more than anything! I am happy to treat your fur babies to the finest care during the day, overnight, while you are on vacation, or once in awhile for walks, hikes, check ins, at your place or mine! A popular request this summer has been from folks on visiting who would like me to day sit at their campground/rv/hotel/air bnb while they enjoy the park, biking, boating or going out to eat. For boarding, My husband and I have a wonderful centrally located home in the Acadia region off the island. We have a fenced in yard and can take the stress out of leaving your pets while on vacation. Pick up and drop off can be arranged at the head of the island if requested. Wedding or event coming up? I can be your pets chaperon then too, just ask :) Need to exercise your pup? Mini day hikes available too- custom fit for your pups comfort. This summer I am taking a sabbatical to my career job which means more hiking, walks and freedom to spend time with your pet- with flexible scheduling :) While my home offers a wonderful spacious lawn and garden area for the pups with a secure 4' ht enclosed fence, pets are never left unattended in the area. Happy to board with your routine in mind in terms of crating or free range of our home and total pampering. Pet sitting at your home is welcome too!

Some other facts about me are that I’m active in my church, love exploring, being in nature, and drinking coffee with friends! I grew up owning dogs and I love them! I have experience in dog sitting overnight and taking them on walks. I am a timely person who will be careful to remember your specific needs and instructions in taking care of your dog. I have experience in staying alert around other dogs and either making sure they will get along before approaching or crossing the street. I’m happy to take your dog for walks and potty breaks throughout the day, and most of all give your dog lots of love, cuddles and good company! I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your dog(s)! My work schedule is flexible and I’m not usually gone for longer than 3 to 4 hours. Perhaps most importantly, though, a dog can add real joy and unconditional love to your life. More than any other animal, dogs have evolved to become acutely attuned to humans and our behavior and emotions. While dogs are able to understand many of the words we use, they’re even better at interpreting our tone of voice, body language, and gestures. And like any good human friend, a loyal dog will look into your eyes to gauge your emotional state and try to understand what you’re thinking and feeling (and to work out when the next walk or treat might be coming, of course). I have a dog 🐶 at home, 2! It’s second nature 2 me, but always a priority 2 ensure the pets I look after have 100% of my attention while 2gthr. I never forget 2 fill water bowls, provide reward treats, feed on time , get outside of course, excercise at least 30mins a day & have calm comfortable place 2 sleep. It’s easy 2 do since I need many of the same things they need!! I truly adore dogs. In 2021 I saved the life of a choking dog using choking protocol & cpr. His name is Savoy, an 11yo JRT living in Copley Sq. After I saved his life, he was rushed to the emergency ASPCA in Brookline where he spent 8 hours on a breathing machine to regain healthy oxygen levels.
