Elizabeth was fantastic! She sent pics and updates throughout the day while we were out! Our boy, Mav, was wiped out when we got home! He is about 3 1/2 yr old spoiled rotten Sheepadoodle! We would HIGHLY recommend her for your fur baby! She is kind and very patient - Mav took to her immediately!

I absolutely adored Penny, she took great care of my animals but also knew I had a stressful day returning to my kiddos that she got the house ready for me and honestly it was amazing. I will forever only hire her for anytime I leave for another holiday.

About: I picked up bride and grooms dogs from their homes and brought them to their weddings to get in the photos and ceremony while making sure the dog was taken care of and under control then brought back home. I work a rotating schedule so every week I have different availability, but I always have mornings off so I can cover any morning any time. Flexible and communicative. I am always careful of the food my pets consume and making sure they are fed on a schedule while also never too lonely or without playing for too long.

From day one Christian was professional and willing to work with our not so friendly boy. We got hourly updates with pictures on our animals. One of our animals got sick while we were away and Christian was great with extra cuddles and provided what was needed. We had no worries or hesitations about our kitties and dogs while we were away.

About: I’m a caring, dependable, and attentive pet sitter who will treat your pets like they’re my own! I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, and I’m comfortable with walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and lots of cuddles. I’m patient with puppies who may need extra attention and consistency, and I’m also happy to provide a calmer environment for older pets. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, so I’ll always follow your instructions closely to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! ’m a full-time college student, but all of my classes are in the early afternoon, which leaves me plenty of time in the mornings, evenings, and between classes to care for pets. I’m able to make time for walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their normal routine consistent so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow all instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any other specific needs. I make sure they get plenty of attention and love while also respecting their space and personality. I’ll also keep their area clean and make sure they have fresh water and everything they need while you’re away!

About: I’m a 23-year-old registered pediatric nurse with a lifelong love for animals! Becoming a veterinarian was actually my second career choice because of how much I’ve always enjoyed caring for animals. I grew up with dogs and have experience with a variety of breeds and sizes. My family had Boxers and Pit Bulls throughout my childhood, and we also rescued several different breeds as I got older. I’ve cared for my own childhood dogs, as well as family and friends’ dogs, since I was a teenager. I also have experience caring for senior dogs. We recently lost our beloved 15-year-old Shih Tzu-Bichon mix, who was a very special part of our family. Caring for him throughout his senior years taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, gentle care, and understanding that older dogs may have different routines and needs. My husband and I currently have a one-year-old Pit Bull whom we rescued from the SPCA when he was just two months old. Caring for him has given me even more experience with puppies, high energy dogs, training, patience, and understanding each dog’s individual personality and needs. As a pediatric nurse, I’m naturally patient, attentive, responsible, and comfortable following detailed care instructions. I understand how important it is to treat every pet as an individual and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. Whether your pet is a playful puppy, an energetic adult, or a senior who needs a little extra patience and care, I would love the opportunity to treat them like family while you’re away. I work three days a week, including every Saturday and Sunday, with my third workday varying. My schedule gives me plenty of time on my days off to dedicate to caring for pets. I’ll consistently update my Rover calendar so my availability is accurate. I am married so my household consists of my husband and I and our 1 year old pit bull. However, I will be handling all of the care involving your pet when you book with me ! My priority is making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’ll keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible, follow their care instructions, and make sure they receive plenty of attention. For stays in my home, I’ll also make sure your pet and my dog are a good fit and are introduced safely.

About: Ive had 12 dogs and 3 cats throughout my whole life, and have taken care of them like they were my sibling.Puppies/Kittens, teenagers all the way to their senior years. I know how important it is to make sure your pets are being taken care properly of while you're not there. Im here to assure that. You may even come home to your puppy knowing a new trick. I am an unemployed college student with 1-2 classes a day. I have an open schedule to be attentive to your pets. Animals also boost my serotonin. I love to be outside or inside, so I am willing to accommodate to whatever your buddy needs. I have plenty of places to attentively let your pet play, walk, or relax with no interruptions. I communicate very well and often, if that is what you prefer with knack for following whatever rules are in place. I have an immense amount of patience, love and attentiveness within me helping me thrive under pressure and care for all beings.

About: I’m patient with all animals and love their energy they bring to my life. I’ve cared for animals since I was 2 years old and I’ve been connected with them ever since. I currently work a full time job that does allow me to have free time after work or weekends to care for cats and/or dogs in my free time. Although I don’t have a fenced area at my apartment complex I do have plenty of space to walk and we can always go to a park enjoying the scenery.

It was my first time using Rover, and I was so nervous that my six cats would be too much to handle, especially with one being difficult to medicate. Lauren made the experience wonderful and completely put my anxiety at ease! She is kind, caring, and most importantly, incredibly patient. If you are looking for a pet sitter you can totally trust and rely on, Lauren has got you! Thank you, Lauren we look forward to booking you again, and our kitties loved their time with you!

Shelisha did a great job with our two large dogs. She was consistent with their schedule of food, treats, medication and play each day. Shelisha also communicated with us each day and sent photos and videos of our pets. On top of all that she also checked our mail and watered our plants. We highly recommend Shelisha as a dog sitter, as well as house sitter. We are grateful to have found her.

Christina was amazing with our senior dogs. One has epilepsy and the other one other health issues, so they are not that simple to take care of. She did a great job taking care of them. They were very happy with her and not stressed out. She kept me informed the entire time, was responsive, sent photos, and was able to give them their meds and vitamins. She stayed over and was respectful of our home. We recommend her and will be hiring her in the future.

FAQs for House Sitting - Eaton Park

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Eaton Park on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 2,323 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Eaton Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Eaton Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Eaton Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Eaton Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eaton Park. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
