About: I have a lifetime of animal care experience and have been running my little business, Pet Care Partners, LLC, since 2019 and have offered a variety of services. I currently offer dog walking, dog training, day time drop ins for dogs, cats and critters and dog boarding in my home. I live with my husband and our children ages 14 and 11 who help me care for the doggos who stay with us. I'm passionate about providing excellent care for your pet and frequent communication with you. I require an in person Meet and Greet before committing to caring for a new pet to make sure this is a great fit for all involved. Please inquire at least 3 days before you need care so we have plenty of time to meet beforehand. Contact me for additional references and reviews! I work part time hours and typically have availability 7 days a week. For drops in your home, I am available between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm so my services are the best fit for cats, critters and doggos are who are just alone for the day. I always require a meet and greet for new clients, so please inquire at least 3 days in advance if you are new to Pet Care Partners! Walking: I get to know each dog as an individual so I can tailor my care to meet their specific needs. For example, if your dog has food allergies, I make sure I'm only using appropriate treats with him. If your dog is leash reactive around other dogs, I'm careful to keep plenty of distance between us and other dogs on the sidewalk so that we can have a comfortable, pleasant walk. Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard, and protocols around doors to prevent escapes. We prepare our home for the well-being of each individual dog guest. For example if your dog loves to play with plush dog toys I will leave plenty out! If your dog is at risk for swallowing toys and getting hurt I will put them away during his visit.

About: I have had at least one pet my entire life. I am as passionate about Cats as I am Dogs. I recently lost my 15 year old Dachshund. He was the love of my life ( sorry Husband). Currently we have three Senior Dogs. We would have more if we had a bigger home. I recently left my position as a Client Care Supervisor at a local Animal Hospital. I was there for twelve years and it was by far the best work experience I have ever had. I adore Senior Cats, Kittens and every Cat in between those life stages. Same with Dogs. Senior Dogs delight me as much as any Puppy. Any Animal in my presence is immediately my favorite Animal. During my years at the Animal Hospital I was never medically trained . I did however learn to recognize symptoms of common medical issues and signs that a Pet needs immediate medical attention. I would love to make your Pet ( or Pets ), my new Best Friend. I am currently unemployed while I participate in an advanced 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training. I have a fairly flexible daytime, night and weekends schedule. I would like to meet any pets and their owners before walking them or house sitting. I would adhere to the pet owner’s standard of care. I will provide as many photos and updates as the pet owner wants.

About: I absolutely love working with dogs! I have at least 9 years of experience taking care of dogs and cats! I volunteered in the cattery in Humane Society and walking dogs as well. I work remotely and can flex my schedule to spend time watching pets or walking your dog. I am very flexible and I can easily work with your scheduling. I have a backyard, but I prefer to walk dogs frequently and take them outside myself for fresh air and outdoor play. We have only 1 pet rabbit, and keep him separated when there is a furry house guest.

“Gaby is awesome all around and attentive to my dog, Emmy’s, specific needs and personality. She is a very clear and prompt communicator, and goes the extra mile for your dog!”

“Rachael is very reliable, she’s always on time and spends more time with my dog than she has to which shows that she really cares and wants to make sure my dog is well taken care of while I’m at work.”

About: I seem to be a magnet for anxious dogs and cats! Both my senior cat and adolescent dog have behavioral issues/anxiety, and while it has its challenges, I find bonding with these guys can be the most rewarding experience. Between slow, gentle movements, not rushing a bond, and having lots of treats on hand, I've learned that "difficult" personalities don't always have to be so hard. I work 8-5 on weekdays, with Mondays and Fridays being working-from-home days. I can easily incorporate lunch-time and evening visits into my schedule during the week with open availability on weekends. After adopting an anxious/reactive dog, my partner and I have invested countless hours into a training program that works for us. Through this experience, I've learned the power of positive reinforcement, consent for touch, and patience even when it's the most difficult to find it. I'm a huge believer in redirecting unwanted behavior rather than punishment of any kind. Love and respect is the driving force behind all of my interactions with animals!

About: I’ve taken care of pets other than my own since seven years old. From family, to friends, to neighbors. Good with pets of all ages, phenomenal at getting stubborn senior pups to eat their food. I am currently a full-time student, with most classes landing in the 8am-4pm range. There is usually a break between, so I am available for mid-day walks/visits! I am available on some holidays. I currently live with my anti-pet parents, so caring for pets in my clients home is ideal. This is much less stressful on the pet, having their familiar environment. I am non-invasive and will respect any requests you have for my time in your home.

About: Your dogs will love it here! Family and friends relay on me to take care of their pets while they are away. I have experience with all types of dogs and personalities. I am currently a stay at home mom of 1, with a flexible schedule. In the home we have 1 dog named Jack. If special arrangements are needed please let me know. My apartment is on a low traffic street & has a large yard with plenty of room to run.I will provide toys, treats & blankets.

“Rebooking with Katie because she is the best! Our dog won’t often let us dry off her paws, and she was able to dry them after a rainy walk. Our dog already trusts her and that says a lot!”

About: I have been watching animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a house full of cats and dogs, I've been involved with puppies/kittens to senior pets as well. I'm available to administer medication if needed. I've looked after animals for my neighbors, friends, family, and co-workers as well as those I have been recommended to from existing clientele. I currently work full time, but am remote on Fridays. I work from 8-5 PM everyday, with an hour break from 12-1 PM. I can work around my schedule and yours for your pets needs! Available on the weekends, all day, as well. I care for pets in my client's home the same way I would care for my own pets in my own home. I respect the space that I'm in while giving my undivided attention to the animals that need my care. I'm respectful of the home I'm staying in, always trying to make it cleaner than when I arrived (you'll never know I was there!). The pet's wellbeing is important and a top priority for me - I want to make sure the owner feels at ease when leaving their pet(s) and home with me.

About: I’m a dog lover! I have my own reactive pit bull so have experience with reactive and larger dogs. My dog doesn’t want to make any doggy friends but I do! I’m happy to spend time with your pets, meet your and their needs and be a good communicator! I work a second shift job close to downtown Grand Rapids so am available for mid day walks and drop in. I enjoy getting outside and exploring and would love to do so with your pet! I am able to take care of your pets in your home according to your instructions and enjoy getting to know your animals! I am a good communicator and follow directions.

About: I have always had a dog in my life. Recently lost my little guy a few months back due to old age. He lived a great 12 years with me! Pets are my favorite thing ever! It is what makes each day enjoyable and having a fur baby can bring so much joy into life. After losing my little guy, it is important I prioritize giving some love to other fur friends to fill that void. It is a priority of mine and my biggest form of self care! Caring for pets is so important. If they are in my home, it is important they feel safe and comfy. If I am visiting them in their home, it is important I gain their trust so they feel comfy sharing their space with me.

Melissa S.
“The very first meeting with Melissa demonstrated her love of, and compassion for, animals. She immediately sat on the floor and took a "selfie" with my dog, Tadpole, a Clumber Spaniel. On their walks, Melissa has taken SO many pictures-- not because I requested them, but because she was completely engaged in the experience. I hired a dog walker because I was recovering from hip replacement surgery. Melissa has been a blessing. She is so enthusiastic, energetic, and caring-- I feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a gem for dog care! I would trust her for pet sitting, without reservation.”
