“Abigale was wonderful with Bailey our senior pup. She administered his special diet food and sent us great daily photo updates which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. They provided a safe, cozy environment and we joked that Bailey seemed to have made himself right at home! I would not hesitate to book with them again !”

About: I’m a CTRS and I have trained my dogs one of which is a a therapy dog that at times I will take to work. I normally do at least 15 minutes of training with my pups! I’m off Sunday Monday and Tuesday fully, and my partner is off Saturday. My day starts off walking my dogs then letting them outside to play. Your dog would be apart of that. I have a fenced backyard and a bunch of toys. The day starts off going for a walk around the block then I let the dogs run outside in the back. After that they come inside to relax and eat breakfast. I let them play in the house and sometimes chill out with their bone always supervised. 😊
“Absolutely amazing. He takes such great care of the dogs. This was first time staying overnight and it was flawless. His family is equally as great. He communicates and keeps you updated on all the adventures. Highly recommend.”
“Carmela was super nice with my elder dog. My chihuahua suffered violence from a teenager and now his behavior is not the best. Carmela was so comprehensive and knew how to manage him to keep him feel safe in her home. I am so thankful that she received my baby in her home for the time I had to travel.”

“Saktah did a great job taking care of my elderly and rather unfriendly kitty, Koshka, for two weeks while I was vacationing. She was very professional, organized, and caring, kept me updated on how my kitty was adjusting, and showed genuine affection and concern for her. She's driven to get things right and wants your pet to be as comfortable as they can be while you're gone. So if you (like me) have a pet that needs extra love and care, and you'd like to relax during your vacation knowing they're in good hands, go with Saktah. She's got you covered.”
About: I’m retired and take walks everyday and love animals I’ve had animals all my life and we love and respect all animals and there wellbeing Comfort and sanctuary and help my disabled wife be less depressed and give her something to that will help her get up in the morning Love them and give them the attention they deserve and care for them like they are my own animal and to play with them a lot
“We were very nervous because Gordie had never slept away from his home. He seemed very happy and content in the photos Caitlin was kind to send. I will definitely send him to her house again.”

“Georgiana watched our 7 month old 80 lb Bull Mastiff and she took great care of her. She sent me pics and updates and Juno was happy and tuckered our from playing with her pup when I picked her up. You can tell she’s comfortable with dogs and she was super easy to communicate with and book. Will definitely use her again!”

About: I cared for a Maltese as part of my daily routine for over two years. Since I worked from home during the day, I was primarily responsible for his daytime care, including walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, and making sure he received plenty of attention. He has since moved back to China, and I truly miss having a dog around every day. That’s one of the reasons I joined Rover—I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and would love the opportunity to care for yours. Whether it’s a walk, a potty break, or simply keeping them company, I’ll treat every dog with patience, kindness, and the same level of care I always provided. I have a flexible work schedule, so I’m available for daytime dog walks, potty breaks, and drop-in visits in addition to evenings and weekends. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break or a longer walk, I’m happy to work with your schedule and provide reliable, attentive care. As a former Maltese owner, I understand that every pet is a beloved family member. I know how important trust is when someone else is caring for your pet. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully, prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort, and treat them with the same love and patience I gave my own dog. I’ll also provide photo updates after every visit so you always know how they’re doing.
“Monica was excellent! Truley went above and beyond to keep us informed of how our pup was doing and make sure he had as good a stay as possible with her and her family. Thanks so much for taking such good care of Maui while we were away!”

“I booked Rachel last minute fully expecting for her to not respond or say she was available and she responded within minutes for my last second request. She and her family took excellent care of Hank and sent me several pictures and updates through out. 10/10. Very happy to have found someone trust worthy i can leave my dog with and have no worries without feeling like i am burdening friends or family.”

Shekeyla and her family loved our two pups while we were away on vacation, they showed amazing care and attention to them, walking, feeding, sleeping arrangements, all day attention. We received photos and videos and updates daily. You couldn't ask for more from one of the top rated rover sitters in our area. We were very grateful and would 100% book again. 🐶 🐶

I booked a trip last minute - Darlene was extremely accommodating with timing and took great care of our dog Bear! She took amazing pictures, had a yard for the dog to play in, and made me feel reassured about leaving our dog in her care. I will definitely rebook if I am back in the area!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
