Animals have been my sole focus since childhood, and my education (bachelors degree in Health, Society and Policy) and career choices have and will reflect that. I am not only responsible, but have that extra mile of love and empathy to give. I feel as though this provides owners more comfort in knowing who is caring for their babies. I am athletic and very much so enjoy taking them out instead of looking at it as a chore. I have an extremely flexible schedule, and a lot of time to give. I have no fears of animals and difficult behavioral issues that may occur. I am also a mega communicator! I will always keep the owner in the loop so we are always on the same page. I live with 3 dogs currently that belong to my bestfriend/roommate. I am with them all day and night, and watch them frequently on my own when their mom is out. I care for them, walk them, feed them and sleep with them. I also frequently dog sit for days at a time at another owners house. The biggest thing is that I spend all of the time with them. A lot of dog sitters make sure they have the basic needs like food water and go to the bathroom, but I LOVE to get in that extra love time with them to make sure they also have the attention. It helps them trust more, and helps with the anxiety of their parent being gone. I love making the walks longer for them, and being patient.

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve spent more than 20 years raising dogs — including a Spitz–Collie mix, Japanese Akita, Elkhound, German Shepherd mix, and Doberman — and I’ve been a Zen cat mom to two wonderful cats, a tortoiseshell and a tuxedo, for the past 15 years. About: I’ve had about six different dogs in my family before, several of which were huge English mastiffs. I adore big dogs, but have had dogs as small as a boston terrier. My family currently has a husky-poodle mix. I have been a volunteer at the humane society for the past year, where my job has been to walk dogs. I am a college student, so sadly I am away from my dog back home. Before I came to the U, I would walk my dog at least once a day, feed him, brush him, and spend lots of time playing around with him in the house I am a student currently, so having a dog at my house with my roommates is too tricky right now. From my experience with living with dogs before college, I understand how each dog is allowed different things in each household, but the key thing being a dog needs to be comfortable and feel safe wherever they are.

I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have spent the last three years pet sitting all over Park City—everything from cuddly house pups to full “small farm” situations. About: My name is Erica, I am currently a graduate student at the University of Utah. I have had dogs since I was seven years old; all the dogs I’ve owned have been 80+ pounds. I’ve raised a dog since puppy hood with my family as well as adopted and taken care of two rescue dogs. I understand that when taking care of dogs it is important to cater to any dogs special needs and have patience’s! Although I am in school full time I have a pretty flexible class schedule and can be available on weekends and weekdays. My top priority with dog sitting is making sure the dog is well taken care of and happy, as a dog should always be. I am currently in school full time but I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Generally I will be available to drop in or take dogs on walks most weekday hours and can do weekends as needed! I live in an apartment so I prefer to take care of animals in their homes. I am comfortable with home visits and am open to taking dogs on walks to local parks as long as it is okay with the owners

About: I've grown up around animals including a lizard, endless fish (RIP), dogs, a hamster, and many, many cats. I'm a true animal lover to the core. I'll have an occasional event at night or meetings on the weekend, but I always make sure that your animal is a priority, has what it needs, and won't be pent up for hours on end. I live in a large house with my parents (who also LOVE animals), and we have a spacious fenced backyard. I live in a very walkable neighborhood with a few parks, lots of paths, and other friendly dogs. A great space to get your animal's energy out!
