“Sheila took great care of my fur baby and provided detailed updates for each walk, even when the Rover app was not working correctly. She went the extra mile to let me know what was going on and to make sure my dog was happy while we were gone.”

“Gigi is fantastic! She is really communicative, gives detailed updates, is flexible and is overall really great to work with. She takes excellent care of my pup on her walks and is always mindful of my pup's safety and needs!”

“Wonderful service from Sydney. She is reliable and trustworthy with my Scottish terrier, Walle, and he looks forward to their weekly walks now. I can’t recommend her enough if you’re looking for someone to care for your pet.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and currently own both a Husky with a seizure disorder and a senior Malamute with arthritis. Caring for special needs and senior dogs has given me hands-on experience with medications, mobility support, routines, and recognizing behavioral changes quickly. I have also personally trained my own dogs and am comfortable working with high-energy breeds, strong personalities, and dogs that need extra patience and structure. I am currently a full-time student and work from home doing freelance projects, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, playtime, and attention. I am available for drop-ins and dog walks throughout the week, overnight boarding in my home (I do have two large breed dogs but they get along with others), and outings to local parks or dog parks like Tanner Park for socialization and exercise. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, triggers, and energy level so I can provide consistent care with as little stress as possible. In my home, dogs are supervised, exercised appropriately, and given a calm environment with plenty of attention, play, and structure. I also have a fully fenced yard with a dog door so dogs have safe access to outdoor time and potty breaks throughout the day. I am experienced with medications, mobility support, and monitoring behavioral changes due to caring for both a special needs Husky and a senior Malamute.
“Hailee is so wonderful! She’s helped me out when I was in a pickle multiple times and my dog loves her. She’s easy going, great with pets, and has great communication:). Thanks Hailee!”

“Jacob is incredible! Always reliable and quick to respond. I love that I always get photos on the walks and that his pup gets to join! Highly recommended!”

“Jenna is such a wonderful doggie walker! She came in during a crucial time when we were unable to walk our two dogs regularly. She was very patient and kind to our doggies and maintained open communication with us at all times. Always happy to have her caring for our pups!”

“I can’t recommend Natalie highly enough! She has been an absolute lifesaver for me and my dog, Blue. From the very first walk, it was clear how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. Blue can be a little energetic and stubborn at times, but Natalie handles him with so much patience, confidence, and kindness—it’s honestly impressive. She is always punctual, reliable, and communicates consistently, sending updates and photos that give me total peace of mind while I’m away. It’s such a great feeling knowing that Blue is not only getting exercise, but also getting attention, affection, and someone who truly enjoys spending time with him. Natalie goes above and beyond every time—whether it’s making sure Blue has fresh water, giving him extra playtime, or just noticing little things about his behavior and keeping me informed. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows in the way she treats every walk like it matters. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely passionate about dogs, Natalie is the one. I’m so grateful we found her on Rover, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch care for their pet.”

About: I am new here and in search of delightful snuggles and quality play time with adorable dogs and cats. I have pet care insurance and Red Cross pet first aid certification. I've cared for and loved animals my entire life, and have also had several careers involving animal care. Over the decades I've welcomed into my home cats, dogs, ferrets, snakes, and more. As a science teacher I've had classroom pets including gerbils, rats, fish, snakes, and even Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches. I have Red Cross certification in cat and dog first aid, which I myself take comfort in having, and private pet care insurance. Professional experience includes: *I worked for the Tracy Aviary decades ago as their Outreach Education Specialist, taking native hawks, falcons, and owls to classrooms across the state. **In my early 20's, I cared for animals at the largest kennel in Central Kentucky, Shaebell Kennels. ***I have a Master's Degree in Education, Ecology/Biology, with 2 summers of Eastern Bluebird field research ****I have taught science for over 22 years at middle and high school levels. Scientifically, yes, they are animals too *****I've done bird surveys for the USFS and amphibian surveys for Frog Loggers of Kentucky, and many other volunteer ecology activities. I love working with animals of all kinds: domestic, wild, and middle-schoolers. :) Now I'm looking to relax and enjoy a quieter retirement and lots of outdoor time. Walking dogs and caring for animals sounds like an ideal hobby. I'd love to meet your sweet pets and possibly care for them. I'm brand new here, and am excited about making my first new animal friends! Now that I'm retired, my schedule is quite flexible. I'm available nearly any day and time requested. Weekdays and weekends are very similar, and I like that! Please check my calendar for availability block-outs. Safety and enjoyment are my top priorities...I want your pet to be delighted with our time together, but first we must all be safe! Thus, I'm certified by the American Red Cross in Dog and Cat first aid, and I have Pet Sitter Insurance. My goal is to not need to use that training or insurance! While teaching, I've walked hoards of middle schoolers around the city for 20 years (our school makes great use of public resources). Makes herding cats seem easy. :) Anyway, I have a full understanding of and appreciation for the risks of walking an urban environment, and will be alert and aware of our surroundings always. I will do my best to avoid possible threats and keep us all safe. If you have route suggestions, I'm all ears! Speaking of which: I look forward to meet-and-greets as an enjoyable opportunity to learn about each other and hopefully create great bonds. Beyond that, I'll learn so much about your pet, including any behaviors or medical conditions I should be aware of, or any special requests you may have. I will walk a maximum of 2 dogs together, from the same household. Since I'm new here, I want to be able to give my undivided attention and affection while I, too, am learning the ropes. For drop-in sitting, I can care for up to 5 animals in one home. If your dog pulls frequently, I may ask you if I may try some training tactics. If your dog is a strong puller, I might suggest that I am not the best fit. I think I'm in pretty good physical shape for my age, but a stronger walker might be a safer alternative for all. With drop-in sitting, I can provide nearly any pet service needed in your home, including feeding, watering, play time, and most of the extra care that senior animals or those with health issues might need. I am responsible, reliable, and respectful of your wishes for your pet's best care. Most of all, I'm excited to make some new fur baby friends!
About: Having grown up training and working an XL breed alongside a frenchie, I have experience with dogs great and small. I love big dogs, trained dogs, elderly dogs and puppies. I’m comfortable crate training and caring for working jobs with training schedules. I currently work part time at a bank so I’m available most holidays and weekends, and can stay full time at your home to take dogs on potty breaks at all hours. I tend to keep a low profile in a client’s home beyond dirtying linens. I typically go for the guest bedroom and will only cook in the microwave if at all. I ask that I am left written instructions and schedules to best care for your animals.
“Michelle is wonderful. She comes when she says she will. Dixie is thrilled when she sees her. Dixie is losing weight already. This was a good decision.”

“Thank you for taking care of Panda this evening. Bet she loved the Christmas Parade while walking city park. Will definingly be booking Anna again in the near future.”

About: Previous experience with dogs and cats at local shelters as well as Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Knowledgd in providing care for all types of different animals. Outside of roller derby training with the local league and volunteering with the food bank, my schedule is open and available to help with your pet care needs. I have previous experience with senior pets, special needs pets, and animals with low socializing issues; however, I am not a trained nor certified trainer.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Long before joining Rover, I was trusted by friends, family, and neighbors when they needed a pet sitter or dog walker. I love getting to know each pet's personality and making sure they feel safe and loved. As someone with my own fur-babies, I know how it feels to be away from them! I understand that everyone and their pets are different! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I'm able to give pets plenty of care and attention throughout the day. Whether that's walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I'm happy to fit their routine into mine. Growing up in a cat-dog household, I have experience with both! I always prioritize keeping their routine as normal as possible by carefully following feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific instructions provided by you. I am happy to keep owners updated with messages and cute/silly photos!

“Sarah is lovely to work with and my Daisy L❤️VES her! Not only is she beyond patient and kind with my dog, but she is also quick to respond, 100% reliable, and has wonderful communication skills. I was a bit hesitant to use Rover, but if all dog walkers are even close in comparison to Sarah, your animal will be in the best care. Thanks, Sarah!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - People's Freeway
Amber was very kind and helpful with walking our dog, Clark. He can be reactive on walks but she handled him well and offered some new tips on redirecting him. He is very protective of us but he took to Amber tight away after a few treats. I would recommend her for her services.
Anna is honestly the best! She’s walked in to my house finding that my dog has pulled some stitches out. She got a hold of my emergency contact right away when she couldn’t get a hold of me and offered to come back and take him to the vet if needed! She cares so much, I couldn’t have appreciated her more when I was away!

Thanks Marissa for walking my favourite son, Logan. I really appreciate the quick responses during a chaotic time for us (having just moved from another country). Logan is an anxious dog, sometimes not ok w other dogs and judging by the feedback and photos Marissa sent, she’s managed to help him make new furry friends already!! Thank you so much.

Highly recommend Matt. He is punctual and communicates very well. I initially used him when my regular rover guy was on vacation. Now I use Matt full time as I was more impressed with him. We work long hours and work about an hour away. And I do not stress if my babies are being taken care of.

Claire was amazing! She was incredibly responsive, punctual, and communicative throughout the entire experience. She took such great care of Molly, and it was clear that Molly felt comfortable and happy with her. I really appreciated the updates and the peace of mind knowing Molly was in such good hands. I would absolutely book Claire again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!
