“Kendall is kind, thoughtful, and of course, great with our dog! Dame has enjoyed her walks with Kendall and appreciates the treats on arrival and belly scratches after.”

About: Hi, I’m Jacky! My love for animals began at a young age. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around animals of all types since I was a baby. There has never been a time where we have had less than 5 dogs at our home.🐶 I have had countless pets and memories that come with each, so I know how much parents love their fur babies and want them to stay safe and happy! I have 2 fur babies of my own named Sadie and Zoey! While I finish school, they are in good hands back home.🏡 As a high schooler, I was a vet technician. In this role I fed, watered, and provided medical care for both dogs and cats. I also bathed dogs of all sizes and clipped their nails.🩺 While in this role, I also maintained the deep care that any owner would hope for while their pet is away from them. I have helped dog sit for family members and friends when they’re away from home. I can send picture and updates as needed! I look forward to connecting!✨ I’m currently a full-time university student, however, I only attend school 2x a week. I am usually available on Mondays and Thursdays all day, and available most weekday evenings. My availability on the weekends are limited. I provide attentive, loving care tailored to each pet’s routine. I want to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for inside and outside of their home. Parents can know their pet is in reliable, professional, and safe hands.
“Sara is amazing! She loves Milo like her own and goes out of her way to love our kitties too. She is my first dog walker and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She has gone above and beyond, too Milo for a pup cup on his birthday and took him for 30 minute longer walk on his birthday as his birthday present. She is super reliable, kind, and I have never had to worry that Milo isn’t in great hands. Thank you Sara!”

“I am so glad we found Faith! By now, she has taken our dog out a whole number of times for walks and playtime and it is always great. Easy communication, photos of a happy dog!”

“Kevellin was on-time, super friendly, and had no issue taking both (large) dogs. Clearly works hard at what he's doing. Dogs were happy and tired for at least a short time afterwards. :)”

About: Hello! I'm an Oregon native and have been around animals my entire life. I have experience raising two litters of puppies with my family and frequently pet-sit for family friends. I’m an active, outdoorsy person, I would love to take your pup on long walks or trips to the dog park. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! I am currently finishing up my flight school classes (held twice a week), and since I just moved here, I’m looking for a great way to get to know the Salt Lake community while earning some extra income. Since I am only in class for 3.5 hours two days a week, my schedule is very flexible and open! I live in a 1,200-square-foot apartment with my girlfriend. We live right near a big park and even have our own dog park on our property. As I mentioned, we are both very active people; we love to go on long walks and keep moving! I am more than willing to accommodate whatever requests you have, whether at your home or at mine.
“Paige is everything that I was hoping to find in a dog walker! My pup loved her immediately. She is very reliable, easy going, and communicative. So glad to have found her. Highly recommended.”

About: Animals have always been a central part of my life. I grew up in a household with four cats and spent my adolescence taking in strays—everything from cats and birds to rabbits and chickens. In high school, I worked as a stable hand caring for horses, pigs, cows, goats, and sheep, and later worked at an exotic bird sanctuary and in a lab setting caring for mice and rats. While Rover focuses on cats and dogs, my experience with a wide variety of animals has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior, body language, and how to build trust—especially with anxious, shy, or feral pets. Currently, I’m the regular sitter for a family with five feral cats, and I specialize in working with animals who are fearful or slow to warm up. I approach every pet with patience, calm, and respect for their boundaries and space, letting them open up at their own pace. I followed the pre-veterinary track in college and am Veterinary Assistant certified, with training in animal health, basic wound care, and medication administration. While my career path has shifted to biology and math, my love for animals has remained constant and I’ve continued caring for pets in every stage of my life. Whether you're looking for someone to care for an energetic puppy, a senior cat with health issues, or a rescue dog who's still learning to trust, I’m here to help. I take the time to understand each pet’s individual personality and always follow your instructions carefully to keep their routine consistent, stress-free, and puts their comfort first. Pet care fits seamlessly into my life right now. I work from home during the day doing mathematical biology research, and I take a few evening classes at the University of Utah. My schedule is relaxed and flexible, so I’m able to check in frequently, keep a consistent routine, and give pets the attention they deserve throughout the day. I'm currently applying to graduate programs and am focused on school, which means I will be around and reliable during weekends and school breaks. Pet care is a perfect fit for me right now— it gets me out of the house, adds joy to my routine, and lets me spend time with animals! Whether it's a quick drop-in, a daily walk, or an extended stay, I'm happy to build my schedule around your pet’s needs. When I care for pets in their own home, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and consistency. I know how important it is for pets to stay in a familiar environment, especially if they’re shy, anxious, or have a set routine. I follow all instructions carefully and keep things clean, calm, and low-stress— anything that helps create the best outcome for your pet! I will always be respectful of your home and treat it with care and professionalism, and I’ll keep you updated with messages, photos, or notes, whatever makes you feel most comfortable! If your pet needs medication, extra attention, or just a little patience to feel safe, I will be there to provide it. Whether I’m staying overnight or just dropping in, I aim to be a calm and reliable presence so your pets feel secure, safe, and happy while you’re away!
“Keslee was available to walk our dogs last minute (we requested the night before) she responded quickly and communicated well. She did a great job with our three crazy pups.”

About: I understand the importance of having someone look after your pups or cats when you are gone! They are your family, and that’s how I will treat them when in my care! I’m a lifelong dog owner with humane society volunteer experience with dogs and cats, and I’m especially attentive to routines, safety, and clear communication. Pet parents can count on me to show up on time, follow instructions closely, and provide thoughtful updates and photos! I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my day around walks and drop-ins and be punctual and consistent. I’m available throughout the summer, and I will always communicate clearly in advance about availability changes. Starting in August, I’ll be beginning graduate school, but I’ll continue to offer pet care around a more structured schedule! I have experience caring for my own rescued dog throughout her life, including daily walks, hikes, and in-home grooming when she was uncomfortable at grooming facilities. Through this, I learned how to handle dogs with different personalities and needs, prioritize their comfort, and adjust routines as they age — for example, modifying her diet to include softened food. I bring the same attentive, patient, and safety-focused care to every pet I sit. Whether it’s a short walk, playtime, or drop-in visit, I make sure the environment is comfortable, secure, and suited to each dog’s individual needs. I also provide updates and photos so owners can relax knowing their pets are happy and safe.

Safety first, but fun is a close second! Let's make your dog's day awesome! I am currently working part time so I have lots of free time! I am also good with waking up early or staying up late!! Basically, I'm all about making sure your furry friend has a great time!
“Adam does such a great job walking our three dogs. We have used him a few times and he is a great communicator and always on time even a little early to get started. Our dogs come back tired and happy. We will keep using him. We love how professional he is. You can tell he is very comfortable with the multiple dogs at once.”

“Zoe was super accommodating. Met and walked my dog the same night in super short notice (thank you so much). Sent pictures and told me how the walk went. We'll definitely rebook”

About: I’ve taken care of all dogs including seniors and puppies throughout my whole life. Many family members have trusted me with their dogs while they are out of town and I always love getting to spend quality time with their pets and comforting them while they’re missing their humans. I also had cats and kittens for a brief time when I was younger and I absolutely loved them! Each animal is unique and I love getting to know them! I have always felt a deep connection to all animals and recently earned a degree to work in wildlife conservation to help as many animals as I can! I just moved to the SLC area and would love to find new clients in the area! I’m currently working at a coffee shop 3 mornings a week and am completely available any other times :) I will do exactly as you ask of me to make sure you and your pet are comfortable! I will always prioritize the safety of the animals.
“Madelyn was great with Val and took great care of her for her hour check-in. She was very communicative and our pup was one happy, tired girl when we got home. We’ll definitely reach out to Madelyn for help in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs as long as I can remember. The last 3 years my family spent rehabilitating rescue dogs that weren’t house trained, and are now happily living their best lives. I’m a grad student (finishing my MBA) looking for some extra income to help out with tuition. I have a variable work schedule, which leaves time to spend with animals. The apartment is in the heart of Sugarhouse, and has a wonderful yard area for walks. It’s not fenced though, so all my overnight guests will need to be leashed for walks. My roommate also a sitter on Rover and is a huge animal lover. I live close to Sugarhouse park, which is perfect for long walks if your fury friend needs a lot of outdoor time.
About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and chickens and now have a four-year old rescue pitbull and senior cat of my own! Always having pets in the house has given me a lifetime of experience, comfortability, and ease with all types of animal personalities and quirks. I have cared for others’ pets throughout my adolescence and adult life and would love to add yours to the list of animals in my life. I’m patient, reliable, friendly, and open to all breeds. I work mostly from home and have a flexible schedule so I will have ample time to care for your pet(s) and give them the attention they need. Please let me know if you have any specific instructions for keeping your pets and house safe. I have experience with reactive dogs and administering medication and want us to be on the same page about what we need to make your preferences work
Yalecrest dog parents share their Rover experiences
Brooke did amazing walking with our shepherd! She came over for a meet and greet before hand to get the lay of the land, which we greatly appreciate! She went above and beyond walking during the drop-in visit/walk and we would definitely ask her to care for Indiana again.
