Hi, I’m Solveig! I love caring for cats and dogs! I’ve had my cat, Autumn, for four years now, and I’ve grown up with dogs in my family. I’ve fed, played with, walked, and cared for my family’s dogs from a young age. I’m also an experienced pet-sitter with over ten years of experience caring for cats and dogs in my neighborhood. I love spending time with animals, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats who are shyer and more anxious, as well as those with more exuberant personalities! I’m comfortable administering oral and injected medications and caring for senior dogs and cats as well. I love taking dogs on walks, and I’m experienced and comfortable walking dogs of varying energy levels and personalities.

Solveig took wonderful care of our diabetic cat over the weekend, including her insulin injections and routine. She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated, which gave us great peace of mind. We would happily trust her again and highly recommend her!
Solveig was fantastic! She was very communicative and great with our dog.
Zuko is sooo happy after all his walks with Solveig, she was awesome. She sent me so many pictures and went above and beyond - walking him multiple miles, hanging out with him while I was out of town, and playing violin with him :) he’s the most relaxed I’ve seen him post-trip and definitely had a good time.
Solveig took great care of our dog and our home. It was the first time we have used Rover and she exceeded all of our expectations. She updated us daily with txt and pictures. Our dog was recovering from surgery and Solveig had to administer several medications and deal with the dreaded cone and did all expertly. I like forward to using Solveig in the future.
Solveig is an EXCELLENT pet sitter! She has watched our Siberian cat, Maisie, and we always know Maisie is in good hands when Solveig is in charge. Solveig went above and beyond, even staying at our house to keep Maisie company when she was lonely. Always dependable, accurate and kind, we wish we could always have Solveig!
Solveig is an excellent pet sitter. She was organized and responsive and sent so many great pictures while we were on our trip. We have a dog and a cat and she was great with both of them. Solveig took our dog outside on long walks every day and spent time lounging and brushing our kitty. We will definitely be contacting Solveig the next time we leave town!

Schedule
I recently graduated with my master’s degree and am working part-time as a violinist, so I have lots of free time, especially during the day on weekdays! This means that I’m available for midday check-ins and dog walks when many people are at work. Because of my work as a violinist, some weeks I’m unavailable in the evenings (7-10 pm) due to orchestra rehearsals and concerts. Reach out and I can provide more details.
