About: Hi, I’m Chelsea — a lifelong animal lover raised on a small farm in North Carolina, where caring for animals wasn’t just a chore, it was a way of life. From bottle-feeding baby goats to grooming horses and caring for dogs, cats, chickens, and everything in between, I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes. By the time I was 13, I was fully responsible for my own horse — a bond that taught me patience, responsibility, and a deep sense of empathy that I bring to every pet I care for today. Over the past six years, I’ve professionally cared for pets and homes across the country. My clients trust me not only because I’m dependable, but because I truly love what I do — and their pets feel that. ✨ I specialize in: • Senior pet care • Medication administration (oral, topical, eye drops, etc.) • Sensitive or shy animals needing extra patience and presence • Overnight care and home comfort Whether your pet needs a peaceful cuddle buddy, a playful walking partner, or someone who can follow a medical routine to the letter, I’ve got it covered. I’m known for creating a calm, nurturing space that helps pets feel safe and loved while their humans are away. Being around animals feels like home to me. I’m deeply honored every time a family trusts me to care for their beloved companion, and I don’t take that lightly. Thank you so much for visiting my profile. I can’t wait to meet your pet and provide them with the thoughtful, heart-centered care they deserve. Warmly, Chelsea I’m currently ISO a part time or full time position however I’m available full time at the moment. I look forward to caring for your pet! Currently I cannot care for pets in my home 😢 However I’m hoping in the future I will be able to accommodate pets full time.

“We are so grateful to have found Novaleigh! She really has an intuitive read on dogs and my puppy and difficult older dog are already comfortable with her after one short visit.”

About: I am a former veterinary tech and have 35 years of experience caring for both large and small animals. My pets are family, we will treat your pets the same way we do ours. I have availability all weekdays and most weekends. We receive pets after 9am and pickups are anytime. We are very flexible and will work with you on scheduling. I have an acre of fenced yard on five acres. We have farm animals but they are behind fence. We have a 10 x 10 kennel complete with roof and wind break, and giant willow trees that offer lots of shade.

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up. I helped train many of them. One of my dogs worked with law enforcement so I helped train and reinforce many behaviors. I love animals and am always there to take care of friends and families dogs. I understand that dogs are apart of the family and should be treated as such. Although I work a typical 8-5, I am happy to watch your pups on the weekends while you are out exploring! If they need a friend I am happy to bring my girl along for puppy play dates. I also understand that some dogs don’t like friends and that is ok too, I have experience with reactive dogs and will do everything possible to make sure they are safe and comfortable. While I can’t watch animals in my home, I am very willing to travel. At any home I would work to learn and adapt as best as possible the schedule the dog already knows. This helps keep them in routine and keep anxiety around a new person low. I also love to play and cuddle, whatever the dog wants!

“Sarah was perfect! I have 2 small, senior dogs, one of which is special needs and she made sure they were taken care of while I needed to be away. I trust my pups with her and will use her services whenever I need care for my pups and she is available.”

About: Until 2 years ago I always had a pup in the house. I have since lost my lab and golden retriever due to old age and miss the companionship of a dog. That being said, I have taken care of dogs in all stages of life from puppies to seniors. I also care for my family and friends pets when they are off on holiday. I'm retired and enjoy being home and working in my yard, so I have lots of time to enjoy and spend time with your fur baby. I have a large backyard with room to run. I do have an inground pool and koi pond. My yard is completely fenced and shaded. My property backs up to a school field where we could go for walks and runs. I have the room and ability to crate if necessary, but prefer to have them be free and a part of the family.

About: My favorite person at the party is usually a dog. I have many years of loving cats, dogs, fish, equine animals & reptiles of all ages and temperaments. I live consciously and maintain a calm presence while staying alert for signs of stress and discomfort. I promise to communicate often and honestly to keep your animal safe and happy. I am building my career as a freelance artist while also incorporating my passions of caring for plants and animals. Flexible schedule allows me to provide help daytime help, as well as overnight care. I like to care for animals in their home where they are most comfortable in the absence of their owner. I stick to schedules and routines outlined for your animal and will maintain any house care needs as well.

“I can't thank Alex enough for her care of my nervous and sometimes intimidating dog during her recent check-in. Alex is patient and dedicated, and made sure Chubbs felt comfortable and well taken care of. She's trustworthy and reliable, and I felt really good about her helping out while I was away. It's clear that she has a natural affinity for animals, her relaxed demeanor around Chubbs is so comforting. If you are reluctant, trust me, hire Alex, you won’t be disappointed.”

About: My family has had dogs since I was 8, and now I’m a dog mom of three. I’ve had them since they were puppies, and have been involved in various kinds of professional behavioral, as well as physical training with them (one of them is reactive, had ACL surgery, and needs meds daily), so you can rest assured that your pups will be in in experienced hands. Am able to do basic training, give meds, accommodate special diets. I work as a professional musician/college music instructor during the school year, and am completely off in the summers besides the occasional gig and individual projects, so I should have a fairly flexible schedule outside of taking care of my own pups. Respectful of your home and any rules you may have regarding the spaces in it. Just let me know how you need and want your pup(s) to be taken care of.
