About: Hi! Thanks for considering me to care for your pets. I’ve been pet sitting around the Rogue Valley for a little over seven years. I’ve cared for dogs and cats with all kinds of personalities and routines, from easygoing pets who mostly want company to animals who need medications, frequent potty breaks, walks, or a little more patience. I’m very laid-back, but I take the responsibility seriously. I follow the routine you leave for me, keep you updated with pictures, and try to make things feel as normal as possible for your pets while you’re gone. I also treat your home with the same respect I’d want someone to show mine. I’m happy to help with walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays, and I’m always glad to meet new pets and their people. 🐾 My schedule is currently pretty flexible, especially for daytime drop-ins, dog walks, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays. I’m opening my profile back up to new clients, so feel free to reach out with your dates and your pet’s routine. I’m usually able to work something out. I know every pet reacts differently when their family is away, so I bring a calm, patient energy and let them settle in at their own pace. I follow your instructions closely when it comes to meals, walks, medications, bedtime routines, and anything else that helps them feel safe and comfortable. I also treat your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show mine. I’m happy to send photos and updates so you know how everything is going while you’re away.

Lexy is AMAZING! She took excellent care of our two cats for a week. Each visit she sent us 30+ photos of our little guys playing with toys and loving on her—it was clear they really liked having her around! While it's always hard to leave your pets, we had peace of mind all week knowing they were in good hands. If you're in need of a rockstar sitter for your furry friends, look no further. Thanks Lexy 🐱❣️

Our cat was very happy to receive visits from Paige while we were on vacation. She was great with communication, sent us pictures each day, and most importantly, gave Dez the attention and care that he needs. We will be using her again for our next trip!

About: I enjoy dogs and will care for them like family. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs in my life since I was a kid. I enjoy playing with them, watching and walking your dogs. My schedule is flexible and I am able to work around your needs for pet care in your home. Look forward to hearing from you. I have a fenced yard at home and always walk dogs on leashes. I can use your pet stroller if you would like me to take them on walks. I double check for safety in and out of doors and make sure there is nothing that they can get into before I leave your home.

About: I’m an animal lover who has taken care of and loved dogs my whole life. My family members and friends rely on me for petsitting, feeding, walking, cleaning, and playing with their dogs when they are busy or away from the house. I have experience caring for senior dogs. I love all types of dogs and i’m passionate about taking care of animals! Please no puppies under 1 year. I’m a recent college graduate who has a very flexible schedule. As long as you schedule with me 2 days ahead of time I’m available whenever you need weekends and weekdays! early mornings, late nights or overnight. I understand it is vulnerable letting a stranger in your home however I make sure security and safety are my top priorities. I am able to feed your pet, take them for a walk, give them medication, clean them (or clean up after them), play with them, or just keep them company. I am a detail oriented person and will follow every step you give me exactly.

About: My name is Sophia! I am 27 and I have been around animals most of my life. I always try to understand any animal and pet. Making sure to get to their level and accommodate them in any way I can. I currently have one doggie, one cat, and a fish. They are all super sweet. I train my dog often at home and the public parks. She loves cats and other doggies. My cat keeps to herself and she will often follow us on walks with our doggie. We take walks daily around the neighborhood. I have a fenced backyard and live in a duplex. Always feel free to message with any questions! 🐶🐱🐾 I work in the medford school district. I work monday thru friday 7am to 2pm and I am off weekends. I have a boyfriend who works later shifts, so pets won't be alone until 10am. We have a fenced back yard with a doggie door. My cat and dog let themselves out when they need to. My dog is kennel trained and usually is in her kennel when no one is home, but we leave her out when we aren't gone long. I make sure everyone has water in the morning and evening. We walk our dog around the neighborhood twice daily. One in the morning and one in the evening. I have fenced backyard. I have a doggie door for pets to come in and out. I can also close it off to control access outside. I always leash my dog when going on walks.

Emma was the bright candle on my Thanksgiving and birthday week! I became suddenly ill and had to find help fast! Emma was available and worked with me at the last minute to secure care for my 4 cats while I recovered. She is very sweet with my kitties as they are very shy. Great job Emma!

About: We had a family dog from the time I was a toddler. The first dog was a Doberman, then the next family dog was a Springer Spaniel. My family also volunteered as puppy raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind and we raised 5 guide dog puppies. One flunked out of guide dog school and came back to live with us until she was 13. Later, I volunteered with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and helped puppy raisers with their new puppies, and weekly helped teach the classes from 12 weeks when the puppies first arrive to their puppy raiser homes, up to 18 months when they leave their puppy raisers the puppies get trained before they go back in for their formal under harness training for their blind person. All 9 years of work there we used positive reinforcement with the dogs and helped the puppy raisers. I also attended some classes with Guiding Eyes on dog body language. I also have my own rescue dog who I adopted during that time and he has had positive reinforcement training since I adopted him. I now assist owners with training or behavioral needs they may have for their dogs to make the owners and the dogs happier and more peaceful living. I also have added a list of other services, from boarding in my home, to house sitting in yours, dog walking, drop in visits, or daycare in my house. I am working from home and available basically all the time, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and over weekends as well. Days: M, T, W, T, F, S, S I don’t have kids or cats. Just me and my one 10 year old personal dog are in the house. I live in a condo and don’t have a backyard, but I have always walked my dog in the neighborhood and gone to hike at Lake Chabot which is only a 12 minute drive or at Oakland hills parks.

About: Hi, I’m Kimber! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I currently share my home with six amazing dogs – so I know firsthand how much love, patience, and responsibility it takes to give pets the best care possible. Because of my experience as a multi-dog owner, I’m comfortable with all types of personalities – from playful pups full of energy to seniors who need a gentler touch. I also have hands-on experience caring for special needs and sick dogs, including giving medications, managing health routines, and providing extra comfort when they’re not feeling their best. Whether your dog needs exercise, cuddles, medical care, or just someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own pack. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, happy, and cared for, and I promise to give them the same attention and love that I give my own. I’d love to meet you and your furry friend! 🐾 Pet care is truly part of my everyday life. With six dogs of my own, caring for animals is second nature to me—I plan my days around feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks. I’m used to managing different routines, personalities, and even special needs, so fitting pet care into my schedule feels natural. Whether it’s daily exercise, giving medications, or just providing comfort and companionship, making pets feel loved and cared for is something I prioritize every single day. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow their established routines so pets feel safe and comfortable. I carefully follow feeding instructions, exercise schedules, and any medication needs. I also spend plenty of time giving attention, play, and affection—because I know companionship is just as important as care. I always treat a client’s home with the same respect I give my own, making sure everything stays tidy and secure. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely at ease while I’m there.

About: Look, anyone can watch a pet. My thing? I actually listen. Seriously. My superpower is picking up on what animals are trying to tell me—be it a happy purr, a 'back off' bark, or a goat's casual bleat for attention. Being a digital nomad means my schedule is entirely my own, so I can truly be present and adapt to their needs, not some rigid clock. Playtime? Cuddles? Or just needing space? I read the room (or yard, or barn). I've got hands-on experience with everything from puppies to pigs, so your critters are always in genuinely attuned hands. This isn't just some gig; it's about making a real connection, deeply. As a digital nomad, my work goes where I go, and my schedule is completely my own. That means no rushing off to an office, no rigid 9-to-5, and definitely no 'squeezing in' pet time. I build my day around the animals I'm caring for. If a dog needs an extra walk, or a cat wants a sudden play session When I'm caring for your pets, my absolute focus is on maintaining their normal routine and comfort right there in their own space. I'm not just showing up to feed and split; I'm integrating into their lives. That means sticking to their feeding schedule, managing medications if needed, and keeping their environment exactly how you left it—clean, familiar, and totally stress-free. Here's the deal: as a digital nomad, my work goes where I go, and my schedule is completely my own. That translates directly into true presence for your pets. If I'm house sitting for you, your animals essentially become my co-workers. That means spontaneous play sessions, consistent outdoor time, and me being fully available. You'll get regular updates so you're never left wondering. Ultimately, it comes down to being attuned to their unique needs and ensuring they feel as comfortable, happy, and loved as they do with you, without ever having to leave their familiar surroundings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gold Hill. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 91% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
