About: I've been an animal lover since birth. I've had a variety of pets growing up and am open minded and caring towards all animals. I've had dogs, cats, bird, fish, lizards, snakes, and hamsters. I've worked at an animal hospital as well as taken animal science classes in college. I've also volunteered at a zoo. I have a lot of experience under my belt and I'd take care of your pet, your way. I am currently a stay at home parent looking for part time work to fill my day while my kiddos are in school. I am able to care for your pets as needed with my flexible schedule. I have a fenced yard. I also have a dedicated dog run area that is also separately fenced. I have two Australian Shepherds to keep your pup company or I can keep them all separate. I also have the space to crate train if needed.

About: We had a family dog from the time I was a toddler. The first dog was a Doberman, then the next family dog was a Springer Spaniel. My family also volunteered as puppy raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind and we raised 5 guide dog puppies. One flunked out of guide dog school and came back to live with us until she was 13. Later, I volunteered with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and helped puppy raisers with their new puppies, and weekly helped teach the classes from 12 weeks when the puppies first arrive to their puppy raiser homes, up to 18 months when they leave their puppy raisers the puppies get trained before they go back in for their formal under harness training for their blind person. All 9 years of work there we used positive reinforcement with the dogs and helped the puppy raisers. I also attended some classes with Guiding Eyes on dog body language. I also have my own rescue dog who I adopted during that time and he has had positive reinforcement training since I adopted him. I now assist owners with training or behavioral needs they may have for their dogs to make the owners and the dogs happier and more peaceful living. I also have added a list of other services, from boarding in my home, to house sitting in yours, dog walking, drop in visits, or daycare in my house. I am working from home and available basically all the time, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and over weekends as well. Days: M, T, W, T, F, S, S I don’t have kids or cats. Just me and my one 10 year old personal dog are in the house. I live in a condo and don’t have a backyard, but I have always walked my dog in the neighborhood and gone to hike at Lake Chabot which is only a 12 minute drive or at Oakland hills parks.

About: I grew up around all kinds of animals and even had up to 7 dogs at one point in my childhood home! I’ve always loved having pets and I even used to pet sit for neighbors frequently. I’m currently not working so I’m able to pet sit Monday-Sunday! I’m open to following specific routines that you have for your pet. I’m also available to do overnights if needed :) I do have a fenced in yard where I can supervise your pet. I currently have no personal pets of my own. I love to maintain their schedule as I know it could be hard for your pet to be in a new environment.

About: Ever since I can remember Ive always been around dogs and cats and tons of other animals! I’ve grown up on farms and so I am so used to animals, it’s become my life! I have a ton of energy and love to give. I’ve watched tons of family members animals and always put them first! I can walk, exercise, feed and water the dogs if needed. I have volunteered at the humane society for a while so I learned a lot there too. With working full time and going to school my availability is mostly the weekends, BUT when I take time off of school that may change:) When I am at someone’s home and they are trusting me with their babies, I try to make sure to take the best steps to keep them safe. If they need a leash I can do that, if there are any safety issues told to me I will take them seriously. Safety #1 then FUN!

About: I grew up with dogs and have always had a genuine love for animals! Being around pets throughout my life, along with having an aunt who trains therapy dogs, has given me a strong appreciation for animal behavior, patience, consistency, and positive interactions. My background as a teacher has also helped me develop skills in understanding behavior, adapting to different personalities and needs, and building trust through patience and clear communication. I love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I have experience with cats as well and understand that every pet has different routines, boundaries, and preferences. Whether your pet is energetic and ready for an adventure, shy and needing a little extra time to warm up, or happiest with a calm companion, I want them to feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I would treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’m dependable, attentive to details, and happy to follow your pet’s established routines and any special instructions. Most of all, I would love the opportunity to spend time with your furry family members and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands! I work full-time as a teacher and also support local music nonprofits on Sundays, so I’m thoughtful about the commitments I take on and the time I can dedicate to pet care. I plan to accept bookings that fit comfortably within my schedule, allowing me to be dependable, present, and attentive to each pet’s needs. Rover is a wonderful opportunity for me to make more room in my life for something I genuinely love: spending time with animals! Caring for pets, especially getting out for walks and enjoying the companionship of dogs, would be a rewarding balance to my work in education and music. My availability will vary around my work schedule, but when our schedules align, I look forward to providing reliable, loving care and giving pet owners peace of mind while they’re away. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I would never take that responsibility lightly. I have cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to keep their routines consistent, pay attention to the little things, and respect their individual personalities. Some cats want lots of attention and playtime, while others prefer to do their own thing until they’re ready to come to you. I’m happy to meet them where they are! For dogs, I love the opportunity to get outside, go for walks, play, and give them some extra companionship while their people are away. I’m also happy to follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, litter box care, and anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable. I would care for your pets in their own home whenever possible, keeping their routine familiar and their space tidy. I’m happy to send updates and photos, too, so you can see how they’re doing while you’re away. Above all, I want your pets to feel safe and cared for, and I want you to feel confident that they’re in good hands.

About: Hi there! I’m Dorothea and have raised horses, dogs, cats, chickens, song birds and hedgehogs. Animals are my life. We have 40 acres adjacent to 2000 acres of BLM and we go for early morning forest walks followed by a grooming session every day. Four acres around the house are fenced to keep the dogs safe. Our resident pets are two Aussies - Luna and Pixie. We also have chickens inside another fenced-in area. I love taking pictures of our furry friends, so you will get plenty of snap shots and fun “pup-dates” while you’re away. When your pet is with us, they’ll be safe, happy, and treated like family. If they have long hair, they will wear a "Shed Defender" suit to keep the grass seeds out of their fur. Can’t wait to meet your furry or feathered friend! My husband and I are home all day. We have 40 acres adjacent to 2000 acres of BLM and the dogs and I go for early morning forest walks followed by grooming sessions every day if their fur collected grass seeds. If you bring us your bird or any other little critter, we will keep it safe and sound in the house, we have a spare room were dogs are not allowed. Four acres around the house are fenced to keep the dogs safe while outside by themselves. If it is too warm, cold or wet, the dogs will be inside in the afternoon after the grooming. They are usually ready for a nap after that anyway. In the evening they all come with us to tuck the chickens into their coops, when it is dusk or dark they wear lighted collars. We have lots of cozy places for the dogs to sleep and sit. In winter the den with the fireplace is a favorite spot and in summer the hardwood and stone floors are popular. If you bring us a puppy, we will keep it in a crate overnight in our bedroom. Also we will keep it on a leash during walks or at least have a long rope trailing behind.

About: Hi, I’m Kimber! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I currently share my home with six amazing dogs – so I know firsthand how much love, patience, and responsibility it takes to give pets the best care possible. Because of my experience as a multi-dog owner, I’m comfortable with all types of personalities – from playful pups full of energy to seniors who need a gentler touch. I also have hands-on experience caring for special needs and sick dogs, including giving medications, managing health routines, and providing extra comfort when they’re not feeling their best. Whether your dog needs exercise, cuddles, medical care, or just someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own pack. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, happy, and cared for, and I promise to give them the same attention and love that I give my own. I’d love to meet you and your furry friend! 🐾 Pet care is truly part of my everyday life. With six dogs of my own, caring for animals is second nature to me—I plan my days around feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks. I’m used to managing different routines, personalities, and even special needs, so fitting pet care into my schedule feels natural. Whether it’s daily exercise, giving medications, or just providing comfort and companionship, making pets feel loved and cared for is something I prioritize every single day. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow their established routines so pets feel safe and comfortable. I carefully follow feeding instructions, exercise schedules, and any medication needs. I also spend plenty of time giving attention, play, and affection—because I know companionship is just as important as care. I always treat a client’s home with the same respect I give my own, making sure everything stays tidy and secure. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely at ease while I’m there.

Absolutely amazing! I usually don’t prefer to book on rover due to a few bad experiences but I found Lisa’s page with over 400 5 ⭐️ reviews and had to book her! She came over to meet me and my pets before we booked and was so kind! She took amazing care of bean and jelly! Brought my packages in and even did the dishes! Very very kind and respectful! Hopping she’s available every month!!! As long as she’s on rover she has me as a client! Also her prices were more reasonable than others who were way more expensive on rover. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING LISA!!! Me and the pets appreciate you! 🐶🐾🐈

If you’re fortunate enough to get Allie/Vivian A. to take care of your fur baby you will get the best of care. Our Stella was so happy to see us and then immediately went back to what she was doing in the yard. We know our cat kid, and this means she got enough loves when we were gone. We trust and adore this pet sitter and will rebook over and over again! 💗

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Seven Oaks

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
