“Lexy was amazing! Took absolutely fantastic care of our three pets. Kept great communication, sent photos, and made it to every scheduled visit we had set to check on the pets. Our little fur babies were very well taken care of- happy, healthy, played and cuddled with, and fed on schedule. Lexy was a lifesaver for a holiday weekend! Thank you!”

About: I’ve cared for animals for years and treat every pet like my own. I have two friendly dogs and a cat, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities and energy levels. I will stick to your pet’s routine, provide lots of love and attention, and always send updates so you feel at ease while you’re away. I work 8-5 Monday through Friday. I am available for pet sitting overnight Wednesday through Sunday. I’d be happy to do mid day drop in if needed. I get a long lunch and I could check in any time. I’d also be available for walks in the evening, weekend mornings and evenings as well. For drop-ins or care in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping your pet’s routine consistent. I provide walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, litter box or yard clean-up, and lots of attention. I’m respectful of your home, keep things tidy, and send regular updates with photos so you have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I've been an animal lover since birth. I've had a variety of pets growing up and am open minded and caring towards all animals. I've had dogs, cats, bird, fish, lizards, snakes, and hamsters. I've worked at an animal hospital as well as taken animal science classes in college. I've also volunteered at a zoo. I have a lot of experience under my belt and I'd take care of your pet, your way. I am currently a stay at home parent looking for part time work to fill my day while my kiddos are in school. I am able to care for your pets as needed with my flexible schedule. I have a fenced yard. I also have a dedicated dog run area that is also separately fenced. I have two Australian Shepherds to keep your pup company or I can keep them all separate. I also have the space to crate train if needed.

About: I volunteered at the local humane society for 4+ years and fostered puppies and adult dogs for the shelter. I also used to work for a dog walking company and have had my own dogs my whole life! I just graduated college, so I am free to love on your pet anytime! I also am active and love having a buddy to come on walks with me. I would treat a clients pet as my own, treating it with the love and attention it deserves. I would treat a clients dog with respect and be attentive to its needs.

She reached out to us with any questions or concerns she had before and during our trip. She sent photos from every visit. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our cat was safe with her. About: In addition to being a dog owner for 26 years, I have also worked with the Humane Society socializing dogs to humans and other dogs. One of my more noticeable cases was a dog who was not very outgoing. She was very shy. After all the work I put in, and a couple days, she was sitting in my lap in the world me to pet her, somethings no other volunteer had acheived. I have owned dogs all my life. I just had to say goodbye to my 18 year old chihuahua so I am very experienced in senior care. I’m very flexible any time, but after 5pm on weekdays or anytime on the weekends are when I will be free no matter what. I work 8-5 , but can work around my schedule to provide day walks or check in around noon Earning a dog’s trust is very important. I know to sit on the floor, allow them to walk up to me and offer a hand if they would like me to pet them. I love dogs so I play fetch, take them on walks, and give them unlimited pets

About: Hi, I’m Kimber! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I currently share my home with six amazing dogs – so I know firsthand how much love, patience, and responsibility it takes to give pets the best care possible. Because of my experience as a multi-dog owner, I’m comfortable with all types of personalities – from playful pups full of energy to seniors who need a gentler touch. I also have hands-on experience caring for special needs and sick dogs, including giving medications, managing health routines, and providing extra comfort when they’re not feeling their best. Whether your dog needs exercise, cuddles, medical care, or just someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own pack. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, happy, and cared for, and I promise to give them the same attention and love that I give my own. I’d love to meet you and your furry friend! 🐾 Pet care is truly part of my everyday life. With six dogs of my own, caring for animals is second nature to me—I plan my days around feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks. I’m used to managing different routines, personalities, and even special needs, so fitting pet care into my schedule feels natural. Whether it’s daily exercise, giving medications, or just providing comfort and companionship, making pets feel loved and cared for is something I prioritize every single day. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow their established routines so pets feel safe and comfortable. I carefully follow feeding instructions, exercise schedules, and any medication needs. I also spend plenty of time giving attention, play, and affection—because I know companionship is just as important as care. I always treat a client’s home with the same respect I give my own, making sure everything stays tidy and secure. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely at ease while I’m there.

“I can't thank Alex enough for her care of my nervous and sometimes intimidating dog during her recent check-in. Alex is patient and dedicated, and made sure Chubbs felt comfortable and well taken care of. She's trustworthy and reliable, and I felt really good about her helping out while I was away. It's clear that she has a natural affinity for animals, her relaxed demeanor around Chubbs is so comforting. If you are reluctant, trust me, hire Alex, you won’t be disappointed.”

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Tolo

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 326 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Tolo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tolo. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
