“Our pups had an amazing time and were such well cared for during their stay! 10/10 would recommend Crystal for taking care of your fur baby, she provided us daily updates and tons of pictures of our dogs!!!”

“Bailey was great with our dog! We were worried as our dog had not been in a house long term with another dog and Bailey had no problems. She sent us pictures every couple days so we could see how things were going!”

“Ashley and Kyle were amazing with Layla! It was my first time leaving her with a pet sitter, and they completely exceeded my expectations. They kept me updated with a lot of photos and messages throughout her stay, which really put my mind at ease. I could tell Layla was well cared for and happy the entire time. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring sitters.”

About: We have been owners of a golden retriever for 6 years and are experienced with the needs of dogs. I have also watched friends dogs many times while they were out of town. I'm a homeschooled mom who will have a lot of time during the day to give your dog love and attention. My own dog spends lots of time outside enjoying fresh air and squirrels. I have a fenced yard and can take your pup on regular walks. My kids and I love animals and will be happy to cover scratches and cuddles while you're at work or out of town
“Sidney & Shelby are amazing!! They loved on our dog and treated her like royalty! River loved being there and felt like she was at home! We cannot recommend them enough!! Thank you ladies!! You two are incredible!!!!❤️❤️🐶”

“Stephanie did such a great job with our Duke. She and her husband were prompt communicators, sent pictures, and allowed us to pick up early when our plans changed. They have the perfect home setup for keeping dogs safe and engaged in play with other friends. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Nathaniel and his team took great care of our boys. They kept in touch with us and sent pictures of them being lazy on the couch. They got a special treat by being able to run and play off leash in their back yard! We will definitely be using Nathaniel again for sure!”

“Bethany is super easy to communicate with and sends fun photos while Buddy is there. He is obviously very comfortable with them because he never looks back when I drop him off. Lol!”

“Lori took great care of Rosie while we were out of town for the weekend. She kept us updated and even sent a few photos. I would definitely recommend her to friends looking for a pet sitter.”

About: I’ve dealt with almost any kind of cat or dog from sick kittens that needed fostering, to old dogs in need of medication. I love all pets! I am available any day or time of the week! I am a full time college student but I am only required on campus for tests, so you need something I’m there! Any special needs I am okay taking care of! Playtime and stimulation is important to me and for any pets’ wellbeing. I welcome all ages and sizes of pets.
“Our dog *loved* staying with Alex, Lindsey & their family! She was always so excited to go back to stay with them and was tired the whole next day after a stay from all the fun she had!!”

About: I’ve lived my whole life with at least one pet in the house and shared responsibility in caring for him or her. I took in my own pupper, Benji, in the summer of 2020 as a 4-month-old puppy and trained him myself. My husband and I also have a precious cat named Princess who rules the roost :) We love our fur family, and I/we can’t wait to love on yours! I work a regular 8-5 job that has some flexibility in the morning and afternoon (I can come in later and leave earlier if I need to). I’m free most evenings and weekends. I can take care of pets in my apartment for a short period, but they have to be ok with cats and dogs. I have a cat tree and a litter box, and I take my small dog on a walk 3x a day. I would do the same or more for my clients. I also expect my clients to line out any needs and rules for me in their homes and/or for their pets so I can take care of them as desired.
“Marie was a fantastic host! She kept communication going, sent updates and took the time to ask about my pups needs and behaviors. I would recommend her to anyone looking :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
