“Emily was fantastic with our 4 month old puppy. She was in constant communication and gave us peace of mind while we were gone. We, especially Margaux, can’t wait to use her again!”

“Mary is simply the best! Our pups love her and so do we. She sends great photos, communicates promptly, and always goes above and beyond during her housesitting stays. Mary knows how to strike that perfect balance of giving you peace of mind while still ensuring you enjoy your time away. We’re so grateful to have her in our lives.”

“Jordan went above and beyond as a dogsitter at our house! She was so great with communication, we did not have to worry about anything. We returned to our house even cleaner than how we left it. I would recommend Jordan to anyone, and I definitely hope she is available next time we need a sitter!!”

“Tiffanie was wonderful, helping us out on short notice, taking wonderful care of our home and dogs, and sending great updates throughout. We will definitely be working with her again.”

“Michael was great with our dogs (one very high energy)! He was responsive and thorough even though I had limited cell service on our trip away. We will definitely book Michael again! Thank you!”

About: I have a soft spot in my heart for all animals. Before becoming a homeowner in 2018, I cared for dogs and cats and guinea pigs for friends and family. I'd walk, play, feed, bathe, administer meds, and do some mentally stimulating games with them. After purchasing my own home, I began to rescue animals from the streets and from community members who couldn't care for their pets anymore -- cats and kittens, emaciated dogs, ferrets, chinchillas, dwarf hamsters, small and large and gigantic dogs. I've settled into 2 of my own dogs, care for a few stray cats, and have caged chinchillas that come to school with me weekly. I absolutely love caring for animals, which is why I want to work for Rover! I make my own schedule with a youth volunteer program, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I am comfortable in a dynamic work setting, meaning I can take bookings weeks in advance or day of. I am usually not away from my house for more than 2-3 hours at a time for my job. For my home, I have a large fenced in backyard and two dogs of my own (1.5yrs each) to play with. I have TONS of toys and mentally simulating games. I have an open door policy on warm days, meaning I leave the door to the backyard open for the dogs to run in and out (on cold days it stays shut, but I have bells on the door knob for them to use to signal outside). I will accommodate with the owner though, if their pet has a set routine or habits.
“Hailey survived our 3 dogs and we appreciated her care and attention. She stayed the whole day and everyone seemed content when we returned home. Would definitely ask her again!”

“I had a last minute request and Kaylynn saved the day. She even did a meet and greet on short notice, and then sent pictures and updates during her time with our Bella. Thank you Kaylynn!”

“Amanda was great with our girls — two elderly Labrador retrievers. She house sat and took care of our dogs for three weeks and sent regular photos and updates. The girls were happy to stay home in their routine with regular walks and cuddles in front of the TV. The girls were happy and healthy on our return. I would definitely use Amanda again and recommend her to others.”

“Honestly the best experience we’ve had with rover, Amanda was amazing, a great communicator, and sent lots of pictures while we were away. Will definitely be rebooking with her. :)”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters rats, guinea pigs, ferret. Well-versed in pets and having to interact with them and give them love that they need whether it’s an hour day or all day and overnight. Currently doing this as a side gig, but I would like to do it full-time. Available Thursdays to Saturday anytime. Sunday to Wednesday by appointment. Currently in an apartment doesn’t allow pets, but I have a vehicle and I am able to transport your pets to a park or go to your house and give them love
About: I have taken care of animals big and small, and of all ages, for at least 10 years on my own. I started caring for family animals alone when I was 12 and then have moved to caring for neighborhood and friends’ animals for years now as well. I work a food service job but work 9 hours a day at the most, on average 5-8 hours per day, 5 days a week. I am able to care for animals during any hours in which I am not working. I have experience doing both live-in animal care and also multiple visits per day animal care. I have experience administering and tracking pet medications and various meal plans, whatever your pet needs I am more than happy to provide!
“Meredith was great. She followed all our instructions to the letter and was communicative and friendly. She took great care of our dog and we will definitely use her again!”

“Tyler was great with our dog Saxon. They seemed to really enjoy each others company. We would gladly have Tyler house/dog sit again. He was very pleasant, left the house in good shape and Saxon seemed sad to see him go.”

“Tess was our first experience with Rover and she did not disappoint. Tess is excellent at communicating promptly. Our meet and greet was amazing. She is always on time! Tess spent four days in our home. She was neat, communicative, and cared for our frenchie so well. We will use Tess again and again!”

“Lindsey was great. This was our first time using Rover and having a house sitter with our babies. From step one she was very responsive and easy to talk to. She helped us through the entire process. During the meet and greet the babies immediately started playing with her and that in itself made me feel more at ease. She house sitted for the weekend and she messaged us and sent us pictures. The babies were very happy and content. Hope my 7 month hound pup even winned when she left. That means to me they really liked her and that means the world to us. Will definitely be using her again when we go out of town. Thank you can't even begin to describe the peace of mind we had.”

About: Hello! My name is Ellie S. I am 29 year sales and marketing professional who enjoys house sitting and dog walking on the side to keep life interesting. I work from home full time which means I have a flexible schedule that allows me to have greater availability. I grew up with pets from the time I was 4 years old- I can't remember a time before we had dogs. I currently own one pit bull/husky mix who I’ve raised from 8 weeks old. He’s now 5 and comes with me on most house sitting jobs! I have provided pet care for several families. The dogs I have cared for have ranged in size from small lap dog to medium sized lab. This care has ranged from short stays during the day to overnight stays for a weekend. I have experience walking, feeding, watering, giving oral medication, and any other general care needs. I work full time but completely from home, so I have a lot of flexibility for both house sitting and drop in visits! Dog walking is also something I can do either in addition to a stay or drop in or as its own thing. I only do care at clients homes as my place is a rental and doesn’t allow for any pets on the premises that aren’t on the lease. Depending on needs I am comfortable having dogs loose in the house with me, I can crate as needed, I can manage keeping certain pets separate from others if needed, and am happy to follow any instructions specific to the pets and property!
About: I’ve had a dog my entire life except for a few very lonely months in 2020 after I lost the love of my life, Romey, the naughtiest lab with the best sense of humor. I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was young. I’d walk, feed and love on my neighbors and friends pets. I hope I will be the one you call and who you can trust with your furry BFF. Whether you have a long day at work or a weekend vacation, I’ll be there for you! I work part time on the weekends up on the mountain and have lots of time during the week to help out with your dog! I have a fenced in play area in my back yard and crates, dog beds and a designated “dog room” where your pet can relax in solitude or with Gizmo!
About: I am an active retiree, who adores animals. I am able to spend many hours with your pet while you're away, and give ample love and exercise. I have been a dog owner for most of my life and am comfortable around all breeds. My wide open schedule allows me the flexibility to be there whenever your pet needs me! I am currently retired and have full availability. I am around during the holidays as my family is close by. I am available weekends, weekdays, extended stays! I will follow whatever your instructions you give. I will try to closely mimic your pets normal routine as to reduce anxiety. I am active and love to take dogs on long walks if they are able. I will sit with them on furniture if that is allowed or keep them off if that is what the owner prefers.
Durrett Town pet parents share their Rover experiences
We recently met with Mary and requested her for house sitting our two senior dogs for several days. She provided many pictures of our dog’s outdoor activities while in her care. We could tell they were receiving quality care from her. So pleased she was able to be there for our pets and we had peace knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend Mary to care for your pets. We will be looking forward to her caring for our pets in the future. We get date priority for future reservations!!
