About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. About: Lifelong dog owner with decades of experience caring for dogs both big and small. I work from home and am able to provide constant care, companionship and plenty of exercise. I am happy to host dogs from different families if they are friendly, but I am also happy to host your dog(s) alone. Boarders or daycare get at least two to three 30+ min walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. A tired dog is a good dog :) I grew up with border collies and labs, then rescued my own dogs in adulthood. One of my rescues was a very sick 3-month old puppy that I raised, so I am well-versed with puppy care. I do not currently have pets living in the home, so your dogs will have the run of the place! About: I’ve had experience with many types of animals since I could remember, which could be around 13-14 years. Our family is very animal oriented and it has been for a few generations. My great grandma raised, trained, and did dog shows with many different types of dogs. My grandma has always had animals as well as my mom. This ranges between birds, bunnies/rabbits, snakes, lizards/bearded dragons, birds, dogs, and cats. We almost like them more than people :) Pet care fits into my daily routine including every other weekend for my California king snake and bugs every other day with daily greens/fruits for the bearded dragon. 3 meals a day for the dogs, clean water for all animals, and the cats free feed expect some wet food. I can care for your pets in different ways including, of course, breakfast lunch or dinner, potty time outside on leash or back/front yard, and attention. I can also offer baths, and medication to certain animals if needed.

I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
