“Leslie did such a great job taking care of my cat, Timmy! She took care of Timmy while I was out of town and she made me feel very at ease while I was away from my boy. Leslie is very detailed and caring! She made sure Timmy had his wet food, clean water, clean litterbox, and lots of love and pets! I would definitely request Leslie for my next pet sitting and would highly recommend her!!! ?”

“Vanessa provided excellent care for our 2 cats while we went on vacation! She sent updates and pictures everyday so we knew they were in good hands. We will be rebooking when we go away again. Thank you Vanessa!!!”

“My first time ever using Rover and I feel I am spoiled with Hadija! She is magnificent at communicating and takes extra care of my one dog with severe anxiety. I can say enough about her.”

“Cristina is great! We continue to book her when we travel and need someone to check in on our 2 cats. The cats love her and she is very responsive, friendly, and shares great updates each visit!”

“Kimberly has been extremely reliable and took great care of Penny, Kimberly also made multiple visits at home to ensure my cat was doing okay! Thankyou so much and also thanks a lot for accepting last minute request it was really helpful and lot of relief.”

“Cassidy is always so great with my bunny! She is communicative, punctual, and follows the care instructions to the letter. I’m very appreciative that I have someone trustworthy to leave my girl with when I’m away.”

“Kaitlyn was great! She even watered my plants and took the initiative to fill my bird feeder! I thought it was too much to ask, but she did it on her own. My kitty is very shy so she did not see him at all but she gave evidence of him eating and pooling. I had no worries! Thank you,Kaitlyn!”

“This is the second time we are using Sara’s service, so this review is for our previous experience as well as this experience with Sara as our cat sitter: Sara is not just a cat sitter, she’s a care taker in general. She would keep the place clean, spend time with our cat Titan, send us prompt updates with pics and vids of Titan. She communicates very well and is a very kind person. We left a list of things to do for Titan’s care - she went above and beyond. We trust her so much and she is the ideal person you’d leave your precious animals with. You can always count on Sara!”

“Cindy did an excellent job caring for our senior dogs. She was incredibly responsive, communicated clearly, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. We’re so grateful for the attentive, loving care she provided. Highly recommend.”

“Hiral made daily/frequent various in visits to our chihuahua mix (Rue) for 3 and a half months. If I could giver her 10 stars, I absolutely would! Hiral is incredibly punctual, professional, communicative, and flexible. Rue was 5 months old when Hiral first started and is now almost 9 months old. Rue would not be the well behaved, potty trained pup that she is without Hiral. We and Rue will miss you Hiral! Good luck with your future endeavors! Thanks again!”

“Jessica has watched our dog several times now. She leaves pictures and updates after every visit, which we really appreciate. Great experience so far and will continue to book with her!”

About: I rescued my black lab 10 years ago on my own, and have groomed in and assisted in veterinary hospitals in the past. I grew up with a dog and cats and love most all animals. I used to be a veterinary assistant for a few years before covid, and I have good friends who work in veterinary medicine as doctors! I love to learn as much as I can in that field as well. I am fully available to care and love your animals- The sooner you book me for house sittings- all the better!! I will regularly take the animals outside, give them treats, cuddle on the couch together (if they’re allowed on furniture) and feed them as needed I am happy to provide as much care and service to you and your pets as often as you need it, and whenever I am physically able to be there to care for them for you! For house sittings, I give the the houses with fenced in backyards both your pets and myself to stay outdoors with one another for a longer period of time in a safer environment to get to know one another, especially during first time visits. I love to lounge around the house and get to know your fur babies, especially during my first few times of interacting with them, just to establish care and trust during this time.
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I grew up in a home with Rottweilers, which taught me early on the importance of proper care, structure, and lots of love. Over the years, I’ve lived with rescue dogs and have also fostered dogs in the past, gaining experience helping dogs adjust to new environments and routines. Currently, I live in a home with a rescue St. Bernard and a Bernese Mountain Dog. While they aren’t my own dogs, I spend a large amount of my time caring for them, giving them plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. I’m very comfortable with large breeds as well as dogs who may need extra patience and understanding. I’ve worked with many breeds and mixes, including Rottweilers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, French Bulldogs, St. Bernard, Labs, Doodle mixes, Pomeranians, Boxers, and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I understand that every dog is unique, and I always aim to provide care that meets each dog’s individual needs while making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I work part time as a yoga teacher and 3 days a week in a hospital setting. This allows me to have a flexible schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, and weekend (when I am not at the hospital) for daytime visits to take your pets out on walks, stop in for potty breaks or afternoon lunch/snacks. I currently do not have any pets of my own which makes overnight stays to care for your pets easy. I will come to your home for to care for your pet and offer them the services you wish to have for them. Whether that be overnight stays, daytime dog walks, offering meals, or even just some outdoor playtime in your backyard.
“Jaden is great. She wanted to take the time to get to know my pup before house sitting. She was respectful of her boundaries as Missy has anxiety. We are looking forward to having her stay.”

“We are so grateful to Jasmin for watching our cat, Riley, while we were traveling. She took great care of her which let us enjoy our trip without worrying. She even went the extra step of washing Riley’s dishes after her meals. Thank you so much, Jasmin! We would definitely book with you again. ☺️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dunellen
Kristina is always reliable and wonderful with my cat. Amelia just loves her and comes running for pets when she arrives! This time Kristina also had to handle a couple of unexpected challenges when my wifi went down while I was out of town and I couldn’t access smart devices, and much worse when my door lock broke (no fault of hers—it was very old) and she couldn’t get in. She was calm, communicative, and willing to do whatever necessary to ensure Amelia was cared for (including an unplanned visit and working around locksmith). Such a weight off my mind knowing Kristina is taking such good care of things when I’m not at home.

Heather was wonderful and took great care of my cats. She was very kind, kept me updated, and sent me multiple pictures throughout her visit. She even managed to get my shy cat to come out and eat, which is not something many people are able to do! I really appreciated her care and attention. I will definitely be booking with her again! (:

Meredith is very dependable from start to finish. She helped guide us through the Rover process since this was our first time, met us at our home to discuss care needs, offered to do a few chores like watering plants while we were away, sent us daily updates and welcomed us back home. I am looking forward to having Meredith take care of our pet again and would recommend her to others.
Absolutely wonderful! She was so responsive, the notes every visit were very informative and super helpful, and her personality, actions, and kindness were above and beyond. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of our fur babies while we were out of town!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
