“Wonderful experience. He is super attentive and really wants to know your pet's needs. His place is beautiful and with so much space any pet would be happy and comfortable. Would def recommend.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs since age 12, worked alongside a professional trainer, and raised my own Pitbull and I am now raising a Havanese. Experienced with multiple breeds, puppies through seniors, I bring patience, structure, and genuine love. If you are new to Rover, use my code CHARLV18304, to get $20 OFF your first booking. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I maintain a flexible schedule while job searching, allowing me to provide reliable walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and attentive companionship throughout the week. I create a calm, secure environment by following each pet’s routine, monitoring behavior closely, and maintaining clean, pet-safe spaces. I communicate regularly with owners and prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency. I have fenced in yard and one friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. If needed I also have crates if your baby feels more comfortable in their own safe space.
“if I could give ten stars, I would. It is always a little hard to introduce your puppy to a new sitter but as soon as Brady met Stephanie and her family, I kind of laughed at myself for worrying for even one second. Stephanie was knowledgeable about doggies, has some of her own that Brady fell in love with, has a huge yard for them to run around and she was super communicative the whole time I was away. She was accommodating to the late return time too. I would absolutely recommend Stephanie and will be using her again!”

We will provide your fur baby with a warm, comfortable and friendly home. We have a super friendly ‘foster fail’ lab that’s 4 years old. Ruby is taken out for her walks to the park 3x a day and will add your pet to this regimen if they enjoy the outdoors and being active.
“Alice is great with my special needs senior dog Porter. He is happy every time he sees her, and she is very responsible with catering to his special needs, allergies and medical conditions. She is very communicative and lets me know any changes observed in Porter during his stay, plus sends cute pictures regularly. I trust her with my deaf/blind senior completely.”

About: I grew up with a childhood dog (a Yorkie mix) that I got when I was five years old. My dog became an angel last year at the age of fifteen. I unfortunately am not able to get another dog for the time being because I am starting law school in the fall. But, I miss the presence of a dog dearly, which is why I chose to become a sitter. I smile at and care for all animals, and I am excited to meet all of your fur babies! I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and energy levels. I understand each pet has different needs, so I always ask for details/notes to make sure I can accommodate properly. Under my care, your pet is treated as if it is my own and has my full attention. While caring for pets, I also make sure to send frequent updates and pictures to keep pet parents in the loop:) I currently have a very free schedule, as I am in the summer before I start law school (I am trying to relax as much as possible before). When I begin my studies at the end of August, I will be available on weekends for boarding requests. I enjoy going on walks at the park and have a very active lifestyle, so I would love to bring your dog along! Although I do not have a fenced backyard, I have a 1.5 acre property with ample space. I will always ask what you are most comfortable with (leash in my backyard or not). I have dog bowls in my home I can use for food and drink. Dogs will always be under supervision in my home.
About: Experience helping raise puppy/younger dogs and training, also have experience with adult/senior foster dogs. Includes walking, bathing, trips to the dog park, feeding, training, treat/crate training I also looooove brushing dogs, the fluffier the better! I like to stay home on weekends with my senior dog Sapphire. Shes a rescue and very calm (she doesn’t bark) and absolutely loves other dogs! We love to take walks and play on the patio outside. I am pretty much free from Wednesday evenings-Saturday nights! Although I live in an apartment, I keep my living room and general space wide and accessible which is easier and less stressful for the dogs. I have a back patio we can play on (not black so the heat won’t hurt their paws), and have a park and yard across the street! I will give your pup lots of love and cuddles and they will definitely be a little spoiled! I also will feed them in a separate area from my dog but bring them back together to play :)

About: I’ve been caring for dogs ever since I got Daisy, at just 3 months old. Raising and training her has given me hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, basic training, and providing lots of love and attention. I’m also a middle school teacher, so patience, responsibility, communication, and creating a safe environment come naturally to me. With summer break here, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the care and attention they deserve. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll treat your dog like part of the family while you’re away! As a middle school teacher, I have a very flexible schedule during the summer some of availability throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and pet sitting. I’m available, evenings, and weekends, before June 13, and I can easily adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving, and reliable environment where pets can feel secure and cared for while you’re away. I understand how important routines, patience, and trust are, and I’ll make sure your dog receives plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, administering basic routines, and keeping owners updated with regular photos and messages for peace of mind.
“Jessica was amazing with our fur baby! She sent us photos and constant updates. Our little Leia came home happy and tired after a day full of play. Thank you Jessica for taking such good care of her. We will definitely use your services again.”

“Bhavani was wonderful with Kylo. He immediately took to her and her whole family. She sent photos and videos, so I knew Kylo was happy and having fun! Can’t wait to rebook doggy daycare!”

About: I have hands on experience caring for dogs of family members and friends, including feeding, walking, supervising, and providing support while their owners are away. I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, including specific feeding schedules, crate routines, and medication reminders if needed. Because I am patient and attentive, I work especially well with shy, anxious, or younger dogs who need extra reassurance and consistency. What sets me apart is the level of individual attention I provide. Since I do not currently have pets of my own and take minimal clients at a time, your dog will receive my full focus in a calm, clean environment. I am home frequently due to my flexible schedule, allowing for regular potty breaks, walks, and supervision throughout the day. I am also highly responsible and detail oriented from my medical and academic background, so safety, cleanliness, and careful observation are always priorities. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, secure, and cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. I currently have a flexible schedule as I work part time and take classes from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I am able to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, feeding, and supervision. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods, and I can adjust my routine to match your dog’s normal schedule as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a clean, quiet, non smoking apartment and do not have any pets, so your dog will receive my full attention. I closely supervise pets at all times and follow all owner instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, crate routines, and medications if needed. I also provide regular potty breaks and ensure your dog is always in a calm, secure environment where they feel safe and cared for.

About: I have loved and cared for animals for most of my life. Growing up, I raised and cared for dogs and many other household pets, which taught me responsibility, patience, and attentiveness from a young age. One of my earliest experiences was helping care for a mother dog and her newborn puppies. Since moving to the United States 15 years ago, I have regularly helped friends and neighbors care for their pets while they were away. In my professional life, I have been an elementary school teacher for the past ten years. My experience working with children has strengthened my ability to be patient, observant, dependable, and responsive to individual needs. I treat every pet with the same level of care and attention that I would give to a member of my own family. I am a full-time elementary school teacher during the school year. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day to provide care, supervision, companionship, and exercise for dogs. Because I am home for most of the day during summer break, I can accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I am committed to maintaining your pet’s routine and ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for while you are away. I live in an end-unit townhouse in a safe, pet-friendly neighborhood with nearby walking paths, parks, and green spaces. My home provides a calm and comfortable environment where pets can relax and feel secure. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and daily routines. I supervise pets closely, keep them on leash during walks unless otherwise directed in a secure area, and make safety my top priority at all times. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I strive to provide individualized care that helps them feel at home.
“Julissa was great! She was warm and welcoming she had 3 other dogs at her place, and I’m pretty sure Brownie had a great evening! I would definitely use her again if I was in the area!”
“I am very happy with the care my dog received while staying at Lori's home. The backyard is spacious and perfect for playtime—my pup had the best time running around and exploring. Lori was warm, attentive, and clearly loves dogs. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dunellen
Isbath and her family welcomed my puppy Koltrane with open arms. I was grateful that they were able to accommodate me at the very last minute and provide daycare services for 4 days straight. They provided a safe backyard for play and potty breaks, and enrichment time. My puppy tried to run back into the yard the 1st day when I picked him, and was always excited to return and play. They were understanding of all Koltranes excitable energy which made me comfortable with bringing him back. Highly recommended.

Lupe is fantastic!! He is so good with our pup and we feel so grateful to have found him!! He is so friendly and welcoming. He goes above and beyond to make sure all of our dog’s needs are met. We had an emergency and he was super accommodating and made sure that our dog was in good hands. He has an awesome large yard that our dog loves to run in. Highly recommend!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
