“Kaylyn did a great job with Winnie and Napoleon! Our cats each have special needs, and Kaylyn understood our detailed care instructions while helping keep our apartment tidy. She was very communicative, and her daily photo updates were adorable and brightened our day throughout our vacation. We were so grateful Kaylyn provided pets and attention for them each morning, and we came home to two healthy, happy kitties! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the North/Central NJ area.”

“Cristina took fantastic care of our two cats! She stayed for a lot of time which made me feel good because they were getting socialized and made it clear that she wasn’t just showing up and rushing out the door. She was very responsive to any communications and very accommodating!”

About: I have had dogs and cats and various other small pets since I was 7. I know how to handle dogs of all sizes and how to care for other animals such as cats, fish, rodents… I am very patient and willing to do all the little things your pets need, no instructions is too much if it means giving your pets the care they deserve! I am currently a graduate student getting my doctorate. So I will be able to sit and play with your dogs and study while they have nap time or chill time. I would love to give your animals the care they deserve while also giving myself a little mental break with all your cute pets! If you have a a fenced in yard I will gladly go out and play with the animals or sit with them. I will gladly crate your dogs if you need and ensure everything is locked up and safe for them. I will clean up their potty breaks if you ask me to and will gladly feed and clean up any messes.
“Diana was excellent! She cared for cooper as if he was her own. I never had left cooper before and Diana eased my mind and made this a incredibly positive experience”

About: I grew up with a German Shepherd and Siberian Husky. I now have two dogs that I adore. My babies are apart of the family. I have experience with small, medium and large breeds. I pay a lot of attention to dogs body language which allows to see when their uncomfortable or want something I work remotely, full-time. this allows me to walk my girls four times a day and play with them throughout the day as well. this also allows me to give them cuddles throughout the day I have a fenced backyard that your loving pet will be able to run around and and have all the fun. In addition, they will be walked four times a day. I have a dog room that has a Furbo (Camera) which allows me to monitor the pups while I run errands. It also loves me to throw them treats!
“Wilson was a great pet sitter. He sent pictures of my pets everyday and documented everything through the app. He spent time with them a swell which i really appreciated. I will definitely rebook with him in the future.”

About: Hi I’m Angelica, i’ve owned so many dogs throughout my life from tiny dogs to big dogs, I currently have two of my own dogs and walk them every day as is, I would love to go on walks with other dogs as well and get some exorcise in with your dogs as well! I adore all sorts of animals! I’m a high school senior, so I get out of school anywhere from 12-1 which is early, so anytime after that I can come walk dogs or take care of cats or whatever is needed of me to do. I do not allow animals in my house but I can come to your house and walk your dog or check on the cat whenever is needed.

“Monica I'd great. She gives the dog lots of attention and follows our crazy complicated instructions perfectly. She is very flexible and handles changes and surprises excellently. Ellie loves Monica.”

“Emily did an excellent job updating me on my cats while I was away. Followed instructions and was very communicative during the time I was away. Would recommend highly to anyone looking for a great pet sitter.”

“Brittany was wonderful! We needed someone on shorter notice and she was super flexible and accommodating for both our doggos. They seemed very happy and well taken care of. Thank you, Brittany!!”

About: I have more than 15 years of pet care experience. I attended an agricultural high school and learned all about nutritional needs, behavioral and agility training, and basic care. I have taken care of cats and dogs of my own over the years. Our furry babies have their own personality and needs. I am a very responsible dog and cat lover. I will always visit with care and love. I’m also good with all sizes and breeds. I don’t mind long walks or plenty of potty breaks. Every dog needs plenty of exercise and play time. I have experience with administering medicine and accommodating special instructions. I have two furry babies of my own and they can be a handful, so no request is too much. Feel free to ask me any questions. I’ll be happy to meet you and share more about myself and experience. I am currently working a hybrid job and can accommodate drop in visits during the week in the evenings. I am available full time on Saturdays and Sundays for weekend services. I will care for your pets as if they’re my own, I will make sure to follow your routines and any specially requests to make sure you pet is safe and comfortable.
About: I have been a pet owner for over 20 years. I had a miniature poodle for many years and then I had a chocolate lab. I absolutely adore animals and treat every fur friend like they’re my own. While I do work full time, my job is 1 mile from my home and I come home for lunch during the day and I’m home by 3:30 so pet sitting and boarding works well for my schedule. I have a fenced backyard and plenty of pet beds. I also have deck with a gate and dog bed in case they just want some fresh air.
“I was impressed with Kim! From day one, the cats bonded with her, which is unusual, especially when meeting someone new. She went above and beyond doing what was asked, including crushing pills, giving them attention if they wanted it and opening the door so they could get some fresh air and sun through the screen. By the third day they were following her around the house. She's light on her feet and very patient with them. To add perspective, when my adult children come home, the cats hide, even though two of the cats grew up with the kids. Before the week was over, I had already booked her for several other times this summer!”

About: I take care of my dog Cindy at home, she loves going on long walks and runs. While I'm at campus Im constantly walking between buildings so I have the stamina for a high energy dog! I'll make sure your baby is tuckered out from a fun day. I'm completely home for the summer, I do commissions on the side but I keep my work portable so my schedule is beyond clear. At home I'm in charge of keeping the dog occupied and making sure the cats are taken care of. This means going on walks when the weather allows it and playing tug a war with her. I feed my dog in a puzzle feeder to keep her brain stimulated while I clean the cats litter boxes and give them all a can of wet food when my senior cat decides to come downstairs. I have them all on this routine which I've kept consistent since I've been home. I like making routines and sticking to them both in my work ethic and how I go about taking care of my pets. Consistency is key and I try to be as consistent as possible. If theres a specific route your dog loves to go on I would love to walk it that way, if theres a specific toy your cat loves I'd love to play with it. If your pets need to be fed at a specific time they will be fed at that time!
“I was nervous because I had never left my cat with a sitter before but there was no need for because Connie was wonderful with my cat. She was punctual and gave me daily updates. I will definitely use her again when I leave town.”
About: Growing up, my family and I lived on a small farm with tons of animals, including horses, cows, chickens, cats, and of course, little dogs. I was taught from a very young age that any living thing should be respected and treated properly. Puppies and kittens have been in my life for as long as I can remember, and my love for them has only grown over the years. Pet care is part of our everyday routine. I’m a stay at home mom, so I’m home most of the day. We have a fully fenced yard that’s just under half an acre, and my kids and I spend a lot of time outside playing with our pets. They get plenty of exercise, attention, and love every day. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of attention. I also keep their space clean and always make their safety and comfort a priority.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Dunellen with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
