About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and needs, including puppies, senior dogs, and multiple dogs at once. I’m patient, attentive, and understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care while making sure each dog gets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Whether it’s keeping up with an energetic puppy or providing gentle care for a senior dog, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I currently have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I do volunteer work three times a week, but it’s only about 15 minutes from home, so I’m still able to accommodate pet care before or after volunteering. My flexible schedule allows me to be available for walks and drop-ins throughout the week at all hours For now, I provide walks and drop-in visits in my clients’ homes. I make sure each pet is comfortable, cared for, and follows their usual routine as closely as possible. During drop-ins, I can provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention based on each pet’s individual needs. For walks, I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and properly exercised.

Richie is great. I have booked his services a couple of times to visit our home to take care of our dog Pepper. Richie is reliable, and stays in communication by sending me photos and texts on each visit. Ensured Pepper was fed, had plenty of water, gave treats, and allergy medication. It gives us peace of mind that Pepper is well taken care of while we are away. Also, Richie brought in our mail and packages. If you're looking for someone to care for your furry family member, consider Richie.

About: I've been caring for small pets such as, Hamsters, Guinea-pigs and Fish (from goldfish, etc. to Oscars, etc.) from a very young age. Therein, for example, when I was still a little girl, my friend and neighbor could no longer care for their beloved, hamster, Andy; who did they think of... me ! So, Andy, the hamster was adopted and added to the fold. Next, Cats and Dogs. When my neighbor found a stray cat had given birth in their shed closet, again, who did they call?! I adopted one of the 3 kittens; adopting their sibling from the same liter soon after the first adoptee, was unable to care for it. I began caring for Angel and Geisha, my first two cats. Last but not least, Dogs... Cream was a white Pittie, whose owner, again, became unable to care for her so she lived with me and my 2 year old daughter at the time, and they loved each other dearly. After, finding Cream a permanent home, I had the honor of caring for other dogs for friends and neighbors even the homeless, from which I cared for Lulu, a pittie, living with her owner on the street. However, she received a healthy diet, vet care and patience, training to reverse some of the habits she developed living on the street. Now, although, I've cared for others such as Bamboo, the Pitbull, that seemed to take care of himself, lol and Karma, who needed a foster during the Covid pandemic; I'm entrusted with the care of my Pittie/German-Sheppard Gran-pet baby, Nasir aka Nas, while my daughter's in college. Nice enough, I still get to switch it up and care for the Cats (and small pets) of various friends and neighbors in my community. With that, I try o create a Pet-care Staycation like atmosphere when boarding or Home care while pet-parents are away and a Family like atmosphere for Fosters. I look forward to meeting your furry friends and four legged family members :) Pet care is not only therapeutic, it fits into my schedule perfectly, since I am a semi-retired administrative professional who suffered an untimely stroke at a young age. However. after an almost miraculous recovery, I'd like to move forward in a direction that nurtures my empathetic personality. Therein, leaving the desk behind, affording me with a more active lifestyle, all year round. As to that, my days generally consist of assisting my daughter with her dog, exercise, personal errands and volunteering a few hours a week. Although, I take pet care jobs occasionally, I'd like to "officially"extend my services to do something I love (I believe I'm good at it.) and rewarding because the pets (my clients) always seem to appreciate it. I have a fenced in yard and super friendly and silly, one year old fur gran-baby that would be happy to show a visiting canine "the ropes", lol. I can also crate and/or crate train your dog(s), when necessary. They will always have access to clean water; be walked consistently and fed on time and kept in a clean an organized space, whether at your home or mine. I make sure to follow pet parents care instructions. I send photos or video of fun moments to give insight as to how your pets are doing and cared for. I play, pet and communicate with each pet in their way to build trust, friendship and joy while their pet parents are away. In addition, I have had some dog training in the recent past and will have more dog training in the near future to help me care for our hairy pals compassionately and efficiently. [NOTE to Drop-in Clients: Please understand, Safety is a concern for Everyone; pet care givers, pet parents and pets. I work on a basis of professional Trust between all parties, including the pet party. All I can offer are my Referrals, my Word as a trusted professional and a background check conducted by Rover. I expect the same appropriate professionalism, trustworthiness and mutual respect from those who accept my Services. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.] I look forward to working with you. ;-)

About: I love animals and have experience working with and sitting for a wide range of them, including dogs, cats, and small or exotic animals. I myself have owned over twenty parrots (currently have two in the aviary!) and have extensive experience with fishkeeping — I have four cycled, walstad fish and shrimp tanks! I can walk your dog, clean your cat’s litter box, and even do water changes for your fish if needed! Anything to make sure your little guys are well cared for! I’m a graduate student who will be free over the summer, so my schedule is flexible until late August. I can make myself and my home available as needed. I live in a townhome that features a large, lush, and open neighborhood to walk your dogs in. My home has two floors; the first floor is where your pet will stay. When your pet is in my home, they are treated like members of my family. They will be fed, walked, and enriched on your schedule, and will be allowed to sit on the couch and even sleep in my bed at nights if comfortable. I take great care to ensure that your pet’s stay is comfortable and fun-filled. In my home, I currently have two budgies in a large cage and two betta fish, each in 5-10 gallon tanks. The parrots are allowed to free fly for most of the day, but they will be put away or kept caged when your pets are being boarded. When I am in your home, I cultivate the utmost respect. I try not to disturb or move anything that’s not necessary. I’ll make use of only what’s given to me with regards to caring for your pet, and leave everything else exactly how I found it.

About: I have had experience as a pet owner myself for 10+ years. My first dog, Max was part of my family for almost 11 years. I would walk, feed, bathe and play with my baby everyday. He crossed the rainbow bridge in June. I also have some dog sitting experience with some of my family members’ pets while they go on vacation. I would also feed and walk my family’s pets as often as they requested! I also have experience walking and taking care of my sister’s cat! I’m currently working full-time at a school! So I am free after 3 PM weekdays. I am available in the mornings and afternoons on the weekends. When I had my dog, Max, I would make sure all doors/gates or closed or locked if needed. I would do the same for my clients. And I would give your fur baby/babies all the love and attention they deserve and need! ❤️

About: What sets me apart is the extra care, space, and experiences I provide for every dog. Your pup can enjoy safe off-leash playtime and complimentary washes after messy or adventurous days—no extra cost. I am just a 5-minute drive from a large park, perfect for long, enriching walks that help burn energy, reduce anxiety, and keep dogs mentally stimulated. Whether your dog loves exploring or prefers a calm stroll, I tailor each walk to their needs and energy level. I’m especially attentive to routine, comfort, and individual personalities. I’m patient with anxious dogs, mindful with senior pets, and consistent with puppies who are still learning. I reinforce basic manners, follow feeding and walking schedules closely, and provide plenty of affection and reassurance. You can expect frequent updates, photos, and honest communication, so you always feel connected and confident while you’re away. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, loved, and right at home—not just watched, but truly cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine—it’s truly part of my lifestyle. I’m a teacher, which gives me a consistent and dependable schedule that works perfectly for dog care. I don’t start work until 9:00 AM, so mornings are calm and unhurried, allowing time for a long morning walk, feeding, and quality one-on-one attention. I’m off work by 3:00 PM and home by 3:30 PM, making afternoons ideal for extended walks, playtime, or park visits. I also have a pet of my own, so caring for a dog is already part of my everyday routine. From walks and meals to enrichment, comfort, and structure, adding another pup into my day feels natural and seamless. I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and reading a dog’s individual needs, especially for puppies, seniors, or dogs who may be anxious. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze in—it’s part of my everyday life, and I care for every dog as if they were my own. I care for pets with a strong focus on safety, comfort, and individualized attention. In my home, I have baby gates available to safely separate pets if needed and a spare room that allows for one-on-one time, quiet breaks, or a comfortable space for pets who prefer their own area. This setup works especially well for anxious dogs, seniors, or dogs who need slow, supervised introductions. I am close to a dog park for safe, off-leash play and exercise, which I use based on each dog’s comfort level and energy. Playtime is always supervised, and I follow each pet’s routine, feeding instructions, and house rules closely. I aim to keep their routine as normal as possible. I follow your instructions carefully, maintain your pet’s schedule, and provide walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship just as you would. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel secure, cared for, and happy.

It was also a huge relief not to have to worry while I was away. I definitely recommend her services!

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors’ pets for a few years and have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to treat each pet like family. I’m responsible, patient, and truly love animals—which helps me build trust with both pets and their owners. Since it’s summer, I’m available most days and very flexible with my schedule. I always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable, whether I’m in their home or mine. I follow any routines or instructions closely, give them plenty of attention, and keep a calm, clean environment. I was impressed with Kim! From day one, the cats bonded with her, which is unusual, especially when meeting someone new. She went above and beyond doing what was asked, including crushing pills, giving them attention if they wanted it and opening the door so they could get some fresh air and sun through the screen. By the third day they were following her around the house. She's light on her feet and very patient with them. To add perspective, when my adult children come home, the cats hide, even though two of the cats grew up with the kids. Before the week was over, I had already booked her for several other times this summer!

About: I have lived around dogs and cats my entire life since I was a young kid with my family. I love all dogs and cats equally and treat them as if they are my own child. I currently have one kitten that I adopted from a rescue, she is four months old and super friendly and playful. I would love to babysit, walk or check in on any dog or cat that is in need. I am currently working from home due to the pandemic so I can give 24/7 attention to any pet at any day or time. I love working out on a daily basis so dog walking would be an absolute pleasure! I live near a nice waterfront park which would be great for walks. I’m currently working from home due to the pandemic so I have plenty of time to care for your pets and show them the love and affection they deserve! I am very active so I love playing with dogs and cats to keep them busy and keep them moving. It tires them out so they sleep well through the night

Shauntia quickly became our dog's best friend, and I am sure that your dog will luv her too! Miles is our 170 lb. Great Dane (lovable, gentle, but BIG) so we were impressed with how quickly Shauntia built a great rapport with him. When you invite Shauntia to care for your pet, you can be sure that it wont simply be a "visit" but it will be time that your pet will genuinely enjoy spending with her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
