“Tasha was amazing with my two dogs! I really enjoyed all the updates and photos and they were so spoiled with snuggles and walks! I will definitely book again in the future.”

About: Hello! I am a second year veterinary student at the University of Illinois. I am home in MI with my parents for the summer, so I’d love to care for your pet(s) while you’re away. I have experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments and energy levels. I am also Fear Free certified, so I pride myself on providing comfortable visits. I will be in the Battle Creek area from June through August. Come August, I will be in the Champaign, IL area. My daily/weekly schedule is fairly open as I do not have a current job. My pets are allowed on furniture. However, I will respect whatever rules you have in place with your pet. I tend to do an outside break every 2-4 hours depending on weather, but in the summer most days are spent outside. I feed my dog on a 2 meal schedule, but can accommodate the pet(s) normal meal routines.

“Natasha was an amazing with our dog! This was our first time using Rover and she took such good care of her. She sent us pictures and updates throughout the weekend. I could tell that our dog was happy and safe. We are so grateful to be able to leave our dog with such a kind, friendly and experienced dog sitter.”

“Tyke seemed to have a wonderful time based on the expressions on his face in the pictures she sent daily. He has been stress free since returning home. I hope to have Tyke stay again when we come to visit Michigan.”

“Catherine did a great job with our anxious reactive little guy (9 yr old Morkie). She was very responsive and sent lots of photo updates. I recommend her if you have a dog that needs some personal space from other dogs that a normal kennel environment can’t provide.”

“Katy did an excellent job taking care of our pup while we were away! She sent plenty of pictures, which we really appreciated. When we picked him up, it was clear that she took great care of him!”

“Trina loves dogs, it's plain to see. My dog enjoys his overnight stay's over her home because he gets lots of love & gets to play with her dogs. I feel that he's happy while in her care & well taken care of! I'll definitely use her more when we go out of town. :)”

About: Hi, I'm Jill! Dogs have been part of my life since I can remember. I've spent years caring for and connecting with dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. Friends and family often call me the "dog whisperer" because I seem to naturally build trust with dogs, whether they're shy, anxious, energetic, independent, or just need a little extra patience. I also have a special appreciation for senior dogs and understand their unique needs, routines, and comfort requirements. Your pup will be welcomed into a loving home with Sunny, my friendly chocolate Lab, a large-fenced yard, a doggie door, and plenty of supervised playtime and attention throughout the day. There is also optional swimming in the river behind my home. As a full-time REALTOR® with a flexible schedule, I'm home or nearby most of the time, so your dog will enjoy companionship, exercise, and plenty of affection rather than being left alone for long periods. I believe every dog is an individual. Whether your dog loves to play, explore, cuddle, or simply relax in a calm environment, I'll take the time to learn their personality and routine, so they feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you're away. My home is where dogs aren't just watched—they're welcomed, understood, and loved. 🐾 I am a fully time REALTOR® with a flexible schedule. I spend much of my day working from home or close by, which means your dog won't be left along for long periods. I have a fenced-in back yard and one very friendly female Chocolate Lab named Sunny who loves to play. I can easily crate your dog if needed. Dogs sleep in my room in a crate or on the floor at night
“Rosalynda is super sweetie and attentive. My dog had a really good time with her family! He felt very comfortable and blended in well. It was nice that she sent pictures and updates. She went above and beyond to make sure he was accommodated which was really reassuring. I am glad definitively going to book her again because my dog loved hanging out with them so much!”

“Sydney was amazing! You can tell as soon as you walk through her door that her heart belongs to animals. I was so nervous leaving my old man with a stranger for the first time. But I got updates daily. He got to go on walks and get lots of love and attention. I picked him up and he was brushed and smiling. I am so happy with Sydney's service.”

“Nayoma was terrific! She asked a lot of questions at our meet and greet in order to understand my dog's needs and personality. She kept me posted frequently on how things were going. Maisy wasn't sure she wanted to leave when I picked her up!”

“Melissa did a great job taking care of my old lady dog Sikari! She was very patient and gentle with her. I got lots of pictures with updates with how Sikari was eating and sleeping. I always felt confident that Sikari was in good hands.”

“My dog had a great time at Becky’s playing with two dogs that were there. She even went on a special family outing with them (with our permission). Becky sent pictures and videos which made our time away extra enjoyable. My dog doesn’t usually eat when she’s away from home but Becky said she had no problem with eating. I attribute that to Becky creating such a comforting, home-like experience for her. I will definitely be booking Becky again!”

“Danielle was amazing with my senior[16] blind husky. All of her huskies are well trained and played very well with my dog. Danielle is very knowledgeable and I trust her to watch my senior husky with no worry. My dog tends to shut down around other people and completely ignore other dogs. When I picked her up she was very happy and playful with the other huskies after a couple days with them”

“Janelle was fantastic and knows how hard it is to leave behind your family member. She was very reassuring and sent us photos and wonderful messages everyday. We could not have asked for a better caretaker for our pup!! She had fun adventures with their dogs and got plenty of play time outdoors. Janelle went above and beyond and helped ensure all things went smoothly. We are so grateful for the care she gave our dog and we couldn’t be happier!”

“Amazing! Third time Max stays with Loretta! Once again, looking at photos I feel like Max thinks that Loretta’s place is his place. To the point, I guess he becomes conflicted in between coming back home or staying there longer. 😂😂😂”

The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
