About: I grew up with my beloved dog Molly, and animals have been part of my life ever since. I truly believe dogs and cats can sense energy — and I’ve always felt a natural, calm connection with them. When your pet stays with me, they’re not just being watched — they’re treated like they’re visiting their favorite cool aunt’s house: safe, loved, understood… and maybe just a little spoiled 🤭(with your permission, of course). As much as I adore animals, I also deeply understand the responsibility that comes with caring for them. It’s not just cuddles and cute moments — it’s structure, patience, routine, and safety. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to fully trust the person caring for your fur baby. I am comfortable with puppies, senior pets, and different temperaments. I can follow structured routines, feeding schedules, and administer basic medications if needed. I pay close attention to behavior changes and body language to make sure your pet feels safe and understood. My schedule is currently very flexible, as I work from home as a freelance architect. This allows me to be fully present, attentive, and available throughout the day. I’m a morning person and available starting at 7am, seven days a week. My husband Alan occasionally helps with transportation and additional support when needed. He is also a true animal lover, and together we make sure your pet receives consistent and attentive care. We often joke that we become the “second mom and dad” to the dogs we care for. Whenever possible, we genuinely enjoy spending time with them together — making sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. Your pet’s safety and emotional comfort are my top priorities. I’m available to provide care in your home or at a location that best suits your pet’s routine and comfort. In your home, I respect your space and your pet’s established routine. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions (if needed), and any specific guidelines you provide. I make sure doors, gates, and windows are always secure, and I pay close attention to your pet’s behavior and overall well-being.

About: I may be new to Rover, but I am not new to caring for others. I am a lifelong dog owner and currently have a dog of my own, so I understand daily routines like feeding, walks, playtime, and providing a safe, loving environment. I am also a parent and work in childcare, which has given me extensive experience with responsibility, patience, and following specific instructions. I’m comfortable sticking to routines, recognizing needs, and providing attentive care. I understand how important it is to trust someone in your home and with a loved one. I treat every pet with the same care and respect I give my own family, and I’m happy to follow any instructions to keep your pet comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine, especially long-term and weekend care. I’m available Thursday nights through Sundays, which allows me to provide consistent, attentive care without rushing or overbooking. As a dog mom, I understand the importance of routines, exercise, feeding schedules, and recognizing pets’ needs. I’m used to planning my days around caregiving and making sure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I have a large yard for supervised outdoor time. Since it’s not fenced, dogs are always closely monitored and leashed as needed. I have a friendly dog who enjoys company, and two children who love animals and are taught to be gentle and respectful. Pets are never left unattended. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my priority.

“I had a last minute trip to Grand Rapids for work and spent time looking for the perfect fit to watch my 7 mo old puppy during the day. Once I came across Anne’s profile, I’d hoped for a good experience and let me tell you, Anne and her family were absolutely amazing! They were super attentive to my pup — taking him for walks, allowing him to play with their animals, and maintaining structure for him by encouraging rest time, and correcting his behavior. Every time I came to pick him up, he was so sad to leave and he was super excited to be back at their house each time I dropped him off! I can’t sing their praises enough, it means the world to me that they helped me in a pinch and that they did an exceptional job! Any time I return to the area, Anne will be my go-to everytime!”

Experience with long term care of large pit bull that needed training assistance in Arizona. I also housesat and petsat for a family with a large Weimaraner who had special needs (nervous problems especially) in Kalamazoo, Michigan that I had to be extra sensitive and mindful to. (Each of these families both kept me on for multiple years, depending on my location at the time.) CATS (very experienced and skilled with cats - my knowledge of them is above and beyond, as I have 2 of my own myself, both rescues.) (2) Rabbits - one was my roommates; the other belongs to a very close friend and her Husband. I am experienced feeding them and I have knowledge of their temperaments and needs. Reptile experience: 2 Snakes (I am not comfortable feeding them mice, however, sorry about that, but I am experienced with humidifying their environments and checking up on them - fearlessly!) My career consisted of a tremendous amount of safety and security tasks. I am a reputable individual with drive and passion and I love connecting with people. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies!!! I am available in the greater West Michigan area. If you are not in Kalamazooo, I am more than willing to travel to you for a small fee, depending how far it takes for me to drive to you. I want you to be at comfort and ease while you’re away, so I always ask for a little note about your expectations of me, your pet(s) feeding schedule, walking schedule and typical routes, what is ok/not ok in regards to (being on the furniture, offering treats, jumping on people - I don’t mind being jumped on at all by a cute dog, but if that’s something you’re trying to train your dog NOT to do, please note that, for example, so I can contribute to your training rather than mess it up. My home is open to dogs (only one at a time) who are OK being around my cat, Oliver. He has been acclimated with dogs.. and I would typically keep them separated if you want me to watch them in my home. I have an apartment, and we have a nice dog park.. but do keep in mind; I might have to fluctuate your fees depending on what adjustments I may need to make to my home or lifestyle to accommodate your pet in my home temporarily! In your home, I am very respectable and trustworthy (with plenty of references so you feel comfortable). I don’t mind doing light cleaning while I am in your space, I always clean up after myself and your pet while you are away. Again, any expectations of me? Just inform me! :)
