3. Amanda & Josh M.
“Amanda is absolutely wonderful with our cat, Sierra. She has taken care of our cat multiple times for multiple days and now we think Sierra enjoys Amanda's company more than ours. That's fine because we never have to worry about our cat while we are away. Amanda is very reliable and knowledgeable about both cats and dogs since she has both in her own home. We give Amanda our highest rating which she definitely deserves.”
4. Kristen F.
“Kristen was amazing! I truly appreciate the time she takes to care for my pets. She treats them as if they’re her own! She does exactly what is asked and does not hesitate to contact me if she has a question. Kristen even offered to clean my cats litter box, even though it wasn’t part of the job description. Kristen went above and beyond for my cats and I would 100% recommend her to anyone I meet. It’s clear how much she cares.”

“Nateesha was such a wonderful sitter for my elderly cat. I needed someone to drop by my home once a day to change my cat's water and food and keep her company while I was away. Nateesha was great for the job. She kept me up to date with her visits, took photos, and followed the sitter guide I gave her. She was extremely responsive and professional with a charming and positive personality that I and my cat took a liking to. I will be sure to book her again when I need a sitter.”

About: In addition to having my own cat Tallulah for four glorious years, I have extensive volunteer experience with cats. While living in Barcelona between 2021 and 2023, I volunteered once a week at a large cat sanctuary in the Raval neighborhood. We had 25-30 cats in our outdoor space and 10-15 in our indoor space. I began as an ordinary volunteer, cleaning both spaces as well as cleaning up after the cats, feeding them, brushing them, medicating the ones who had health issues, and giving them as much love and attention as possible. After less than a year I was promoted to a position of responsibility in which I was in charge of a five-person work group, which meant that I had to coordinate the activity of the volunteers on my team, train new volunteers, open and lock up both spaces, collect donated items from drop-off points, and write weekly reports summarizing my team's work. Over the course of my time in Spain, I also fostered a number of our cats in my own apartment, from kittens to seniors, some of whom had chronic health problems. I lavished these cats with love and they all left my care in far better shape than when they arrived. Before my move to Europe, I volunteered from January to July 2019 with an organization here in New York that helps people with chronic health issues keep their pets. Once a week I visited Doris, an elderly woman living on her own in the West Village. I made sure her two cats had clean litter and fresh food and water. Then I would sit and chat with Doris for a while before going on my way. This experience underscored the importance of animal companionship, especially to people in acutely vulnerable situations. These volunteer experiences, especially the one in Barcelona, made me realize how much satisfaction I derive from doing work that involves care. That's why I'm so excited to take the best possible care of your cats! At the moment, I have an extremely wide-open schedule. I will likely be able to accommodate almost all day and time requests, so don't hesitate to get in touch. I did a bit of catsitting in Barcelona, and my usual routine involved taking care of the essentials first (food, water, litter), and then interacting as much as possible with the cats under my care, whether that involved play, cuddles, or--conversely--simply giving them space if that was the need they were communicating.
