“Emily is such a great sitter she is accomidating and understadning. Winston loves going there and once he realizes where he is doing he tries pulling me to her building. Safe to say he likes his day care time with Emily”

“This review is actually long overdue! I moved down to DC last year from NYC, and I was so overwhelmed with relocating and finding a sitter that I could trust with the most precious thing in my life (my pup Jax). I am so thankful to have found Lenny and his family! They have always cared for Jax as if he was their own. I can tell at the end of each day Jax had a happy fun-filled time, and isn’t that what we all want for our pups... to give them the best life possible. Seeing Rover pictures of Jax “living his best life” truly brightens up my work day. Lastly, I appreciate how thoughtful and understanding Lenny is to my essential work schedule, especially during this COVID-19 crisis. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Lenny, Kate, and their daughters. I guess, I say all this to say, I highly recommend Lenny and his family!”

“We had a great experience with HK. You can tell when you meet her she is kind and loves animals. She sent a few updates, pictures and videos of Lando having a great time running and playing with other dogs which allowed me to have a good time on my dinner date. I highly recommend HK for all your doggie day care needs”

“Ashley took great care of our dog and kept us updated with photos and information about her stay. She was responsive and flexible; we are happy to have found her!”

“Highly recommend! Simone was nice, empathetic, and patient! She sent regular updates on our dog with photos and videos. She let our dog sit on her lap while she was working. As a dog parent herself, she clearly knows how to take amazing care of pups!”

“Rebecca and her family have treated Wylie with such care on multiple visits now! She’s extremely reliable and flexible with our schedule. Wylie enjoys spending time in her house and backyard too! We will definitely request her again for dog sitting in the future.”

“Fiona was great and I’m glad she was able to take Jäger when my request was made a little last minute. Jäger is high energy and was exhausted when we got back home which is amazing. He’s usually a little high energy in his first day somewhere new and i feel he was in great hands! I’ll definitely use Fiona again!”

“Guy helped us out when we needed a Doggie Day Care while we were visiting Arlington National Cemetery for an interment. We didn't know how long the 3 ceremonies would take, and he told us that he would help us for whatever we needed. With all that was going on for us, he offered comfort in taking care of our beloved Toby.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for friends and strangers alike ever since I graduated and moved to DC in 2019! It all started because I had such a deep love for dogs, but was not yet ready to have one of my own. Nowadays, I share an adorable little mutt with my boyfriend, and we split the care for her fairly evenly. Because of this, if you’re interested in boarding your pet, they need to be friendly with other dogs; ours absolutely LOVES them. Otherwise, I am happy to pet sit at your residence. Additionally, I have experience with elderly dog care and will cater to whatever their needs are. I’m a full-time corporate girlie with a flexible, hybrid work schedule. I’m normally in the office 2-3 days/week, but can work from home the entire duration of your pet’s stay, if that is desired. I’m happy to work with you to create the exact level of care and attention you desire for your doggo. Your pet would have free rein of the house while we’re home and would be kept in a separate room/ crate than our dog when we’re away. We do have a yard, although it’s not fenced in, so we let our dog run around on a 50 ft leash in the backyard; we could do the same for your dog!

“Amal was a great host for Fozzie. She was communicative throughout the day, sending pictures and updates, and we felt very comfortable with Fozzie in her hands!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 11, so being around pups has always been a natural part of my life. Growing up with dogs taught me not just the basics of feeding, walking, and playtime, but also the patience and attentiveness needed to understand each dog’s unique personality. I know how to handle energetic play sessions, but I’m just as comfortable giving gentle care and companionship to older dogs who need a slower pace. What sets me apart is that I treat every dog as if they’re my own—making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s keeping up with a puppy’s training or providing extra TLC to a senior pup, I adapt to each dog’s needs with genuine care and attention. Pet care easily fits into my weekly routine—I keep a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize walks, playtime, and companionship around your pup’s needs. Living in Arlington with two roommates, I provide a safe and welcoming environment for pets. Our home has a large fenced backyard for playtime, a cozy porch for lounging, and a warm Ballston neighborhood perfect for walks. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on safety, comfort, and trust—treating each pup like family.

“I highly recommend Faith as a dog sitter! She took exceptional care of our beloved pup, going above and beyond to ensure she was happy and well-cared for. Faith's genuine love for dogs were evident in every interaction. She provided regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was relaxed and content when we returned. If you're looking for someone who is both reliable and affectionate with your furry friend, Faith is the perfect choice!”

“Forrest & Stephanie were amazing! They really welcomed our dog, Beignet, into their family for the day. They updated us with pictures throughout the day & Beignet was a happy pup!”

“We had a great experience with Shaina! She was flexible with our fluid schedule, accommodating, communicated quickly, and took good care of our girl. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have taken care of friends and families dogs on countless occasions. I have watched messy puppies all the way up to semi-aggressive senior dogs. My schedule is flexible due to remote work! I have lots of free time throughout my days and am more than capable of walking multiple times per day. As a remote worker, I will be with the dog the entire time, for as long as I am scheduled to sit. I love frequent walks as well so I have no issue taking dogs out and making sure they are happily cared for.

“Elise was a great sitter for chai. He had such a wonderful day with her (and her golden retriever!) that he slept all of the next day!! Chai immediately loved Elise and didn’t turn around as he headed off with her so we will definitely be booking again.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life—starting with the family dogs, cats, birds, and hamsters I grew up with. Over the past 20 years, I’ve provided trusted pet care for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels, as well as cats with all kinds of personalities. I’ve raised two dogs of my own and currently live with a much-loved cat. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and deep understanding of animal behavior. Whether it’s a senior dog needing extra support, a shy cat who takes time to warm up, or a high-energy pup who needs structure and play, I adapt to each pet’s unique needs. I’m also experienced with basic puppy training and feel comfortable administering medication when needed. I treat every pet like family—with plenty of love, consistency, and attention to detail—because I know how much they mean to you. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I plan my schedule around the needs of the pets I care for—whether it’s daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or simply keeping them company. I’m organized, flexible, and committed to giving each pet the time and attention they deserve. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize every day. --- Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, their safety and comfort come first. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs to ensure a smooth, low-stress experience. In your home, I respect your space, follow all instructions carefully, and keep you updated with regular check-ins and photos. If pets are in my home, they’ll enjoy a calm, pet-friendly environment where they’re never left alone for long and always treated like part of the family. --- ### My Pet Care Expertise My life has always been deeply intertwined with animals. From chattering birds and curious hamsters to graceful fish, independent cats, and loyal dogs of all sizes, I've had the joy of growing up with a diverse range of beloved family pets. This lifelong immersion in animal companionship, including personally owning both small and large dogs alongside my current cat, has given me invaluable insight into their unique personalities and needs. Miryam was awesome with my dog, Thurgie! I needed someone to watch him for the day, and she made the whole experience super easy and stress-free. My dog came back happy and tired (the best kind of tired), so I know he had a great time. She sent a couple of pics during the day, which was really nice and totally put me at ease. You can tell she genuinely love dogs and knows how to take care of them. I’d definitely book with her again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone reliable and great with pets!

Ashley was so generous enough to accept honey the very last minute like couple days beforehand . And I was so grateful. I needed someone to watch honey for 5-6 hours while at a conference meeting. Whatever I told Ashley to do for Honey, she followed my request and I was very thankful! I would definitely book under Ashley again! She’s very kind/ generous/ very loving towards dogs! Thanks Ashley!!

Allison responded to a last minute request and was much appreciated. She was taking care of another pup and Saint had a great time with him from the pics i received. Her husband was super nice! More updates would definitely be appreciated would use Allison again!

Leila came to my rescue w/ my last minute request for doggy daycare today. She responded quickly and made my Zoe feel so welcome at drop off. Zoe did not want to leave when I picked her up, which is a first. Leila is a dog whisperer! Thank you for your kindness and the adorable photos. Immediately had peace of mind knowing Zoe was in great care w/ a loving sitter. My girl Zoe can be a bit high maintenance but Leila never made me feel like an inconvenience. I highly recommend Leila to care for your fur baby.

Meg was the best sitter for our dog, Otis. she was responsive, attentive, and professional. I loved getting pictures of him throughout the day. It’s such a relief knowing you can trust someone with your pet and that was Meg. We will definitely be contacting Meg again.

Collin was fantastic and Fozzie really seemed to enjoy spending time at his house. He got along great with his new dog friend, spent lots of time snuggling and got some good walks in. Collin was always responsive and accommodating, I would definitely recommend him to other pet parents. Thanks Collin!

Tim and Mirjam were very easy to coordinate with and took good care of our dog! We were in town visiting and had to attend an appointment that we couldn’t take our dog to, so we were lucky to find Tim and Mirjam. They watched our dog for about half a day and kept us updated and sent photos throughout that time. They were flexible and accommodating with the pick up and drop off times as well!
