“Kathy has been such a relief to my life! My little Louis absolutely loves her, happy when he walks in her door and perfectly content when leaving. She is flexible and timely with her response. Thank you for always loving Lou like your own!”

“Faith was a wonderful pet sitter and Odin had a great time with her. She was very communicative and clearly is an animal lover. She sent photos and updates and was very flexible with our schedules. We will definitely use her services again!!”

“First time using Rover, made a mistake and clicked the button twice. We added Megan to our requests. Best mistake I've ever made! She was quick to respond, which worked great for us on our request. It was amazing how she kept us informed and seeing pictures and videos, so we knew our little ones were doing great. We would highly recommend Megan to anyone for their pet sitting needs. We look forward to using her services in the future. Couldn't be happier!”

“Christina and fam are wonderful! It's very clear that they deeply care for their own pets and did everything possible to make sure our two little old ladies were right at home. For me, one of the biggest ways to tell how things went is during pick up. When I got there, my dogs were of course excited to see me but clearly felt right at home with Christina, weren't stressed out or any of those other kinds of things you might look out for. We are so pleased with everything, we are booking again!”

“Our very anxious dog had the most wonderful time with Susan and her family! They gave her lots of love and took great care of her. Susan sent adorable pictures of our dog, who made herself right at home. I highly recommend Susan for boarding! We will be back for sure!”

“Leilah was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! She was incredibly reliable, communicative, and clearly treated our pups like her own. I highly recommend her services and will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I provide highly capable, active care for mountain dogs. My shepherd maremma mix, Lumi, and I hit the trails daily - a flexible schedule finishing up my Master's degree means I have plenty of time for dedicated supervision. We have a fully fenced yard and are a quick walk to the forest. For your absolute peace of mind, I hold an active Wilderness EMT certification and my daily trail kit includes a canine-specific tourniquet. Very flexible as I wrap up grad school. We long walk early in the morning to beat the crowds, ensuring the doogo(s) gets open space for off-leash exercise when the environment is safest from distraction. Lumi is a solid regulator and grew up teasing coyotes on an unfenced 15acres. I carry a rescue sling. We'll keep a good watch.
“My doggo is like family to Kelly and Juneau. I really appreciate the patience Kelly had with working with Skipper, it gives me so much peace of mind when I go away.”

“Nicole was amazing! She was able to take my puppy in last minute and I was very grateful for that. She made my puppy feel so loved! She was taking such good care of him and sent me pictures and updates about how their day was going. I definitely felt a sigh of relief knowing my puppy was happy and safe with her!”

“Adam and Lauren were amazing with my hyper husky. They have a very nice and open space for doggos to run around in the back yard. They were both very welcoming and understanding of different dog behaviors. Very passionate about pets ands willing to continue learning more about particular behaviors. I will definitely be contacting them if we ever head back into the area. Much love”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, from growing up with them to having two Labrador Retrievers of my own. I also spent college as the head caretaker for our bulldog mascot, which required professional training. These days, I work remotely, so I have a lot more flexibility than the typical 9-to-5 sitter. When I’m house sitting, your dog can have plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for hours. I can work from your home, take breaks for walks, and adjust the routine around what your dog is used to. I live in the Tahoe area and spend a lot of my free time outside, so I’m especially happy to get out for walks, hikes, or just some time in the fresh air with an energetic dog. At the same time, I’m equally happy hanging out at home with a senior dog or a pup who would rather spend the afternoon on the couch. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and have experience with senior dogs, daily exercise, and oral medications. My goal is to keep your dog comfortable and on their normal routine while you’re away, take good care of your home, and send enough photos and updates that you know they’re doing well. I’m happy to meet beforehand so we can make sure it’s a good fit and go over your dog’s routine, favorite spots, and anything else I should know. I work remotely and have flexibility on weekdays and weekends to stay at your home full-time or do frequent drop-ins, depending on the client’s preferences. I take the utmost care for a clients space when dog sitting, respecting all guidelines, over communicating as needed, and leaving the space as if I was never there each time. I like to share frequent updates proactively so the owner can be at peace their dog is well taken care of.
“Jennifer was a wonderful care-taker for our 60lb Vizsla. She was accommodating, communicative, and thoughtful, and cared for George as if he was her own. She made sure that as an active dog, he was adequately stimulated, and she made sure he was comfortable in his foreign environment while we were away. In addition, she made sure to send us updates in a nonintrusive yet fully transparent way. As dog parents, we felt calm and confident that George was in safe and loving hands. This is all we could wish for while away from our pup! Would 10/10 recommend. Thanks, Jennifer!”

About: Dogs have been both my profession and my passion. My background includes working with elite K9s in narcotics detection, explosive detection, apprehension, and executive protection. These experiences taught me how to understand canine behavior, build trust, reinforce training, and safely handle dogs in a variety of situations. What sets me apart is my ability to combine genuine care with professional training experience. Whether your dog is a highly active working breed, a puppy learning good habits, a senior needing patience and support, or a beloved family pet, I provide structured, attentive care tailored to their individual needs. My goal is to keep your pet happy, safe, mentally engaged, and well cared for while you're away. I am on your clock. I understand the importance of consistency, exercise, structure, and positive interaction. I make time every day to provide dependable care, walks, playtime, enrichment, and companionship. I work hard to maintain your pet's normal routine so they feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free in your absence. Safety and trust are at the center of everything I do. My experience handling both working K9s and family pets has taught me how to recognize behavior changes, assess situations, and respond appropriately to each dog's needs. I provide a calm, structured environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and positive reinforcement. Whether caring for your pet in your home or mine, I follow your instructions closely and treat every animal as if they were my own. I believe pet owners deserve peace of mind, so I provide reliable communication, updates, and photos throughout the stay. Your pet's comfort, security, and well-being will always be my highest priorities.

“Teeda was fantastic with our dog, who was nervous being away from “mom and dad”. They took walks in the woods, played and we got lots of pictures while we were apart. I highly recommend Teeda! She provided a wonderful “vacation” for our Cesky Brita!🩷”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dollar Point
Kymberly was wonderful. She accommodated Chico on a last minute request and even stayed with him a few extra hours when we lost track of time and got stuck in traffic. She also sent videos and updates, and Chico clearly had a great time playing with her sweet dog, Husk, and the other dogs. I would absolutely leave Chico with her again and highly recommend her.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
