I currently have five pets of my own—three dogs and two cats—that I’ve raised and cared for, so I understand the responsibility and attention pets need every day. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life because I care for my own three dogs and two rescued cats every day. I’m happy to provide drop-in visits, dog walking, house sitting in your home, or care for your pet in my home if that’s what works best for you. I do my best to be flexible with scheduling and will make sure your pet gets the love, attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I will follow your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, medication instructions, and any special care they need. I have a large yard, and while it isn’t fenced, I’m happy to take dogs outside on a leash for potty breaks, walks, and exercise. Our pup is 16 years old, has medical needs such as breathing treatments and medication administration and she even took Roxy to the Vet 4 times for routine fluid administration. While we are away for our 13 day vacation to Alaska, she sent daily pictures of our sweet little girl and messages regarding her day. Considering that Roxy had never been apart from us for more than 3 days, we were very pleased when we returned and she was in excellent health and eating very well, which could be a challenge at times. I could tell from the beginning that they were a good fit, especially since Melanie has a very elderly dog herself.
