“Kimberly was amazing watching our cats while we were away. She was super responsive and trustworthy. We already hired her again for another trip and wouldn’t hesitate to continue hiring her in the future!”
“This was the first time I’ve ever hired anyone to watch my older cat Snoopy. Shawna did a great job. She checked in at the timeframe we discussed and took pictures so I could see Snoopy doing well. I will definitely be using Shawna again in the near future.”
“Katherine arrived on time everyday and made sure that my babies got their play time in. So glad that my pets got that extra love! I do wish that she had paid some attention to the litter box. But I can tell that she has all the makings of a great pet sitter. I would hire her again.”
“So kind and compassionate! And always available last minute which I really appreciate cause I’m really forgetful. She really has been patient with my pup that’s still in potty training and very playful!”
About: I have cared for over 30 some animals since i was a little kid, from dogs and cats to goats, chickens, ducks, fish, and even a pigeon. I’ve been intimately involved with training multiple dogs and have been the sole walker and caretaker to many of them. Currently home for college, I am free basically 24/7 and prepared to make caring for your pets my focus. If need be, I am prepared to help out on short notice. I make sure to be very active with pets and make sure they get all the walking and playing they need. I am receptive and observant of their wants and needs.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Kelsea is truly such a wonderful person. She always makes me feel so reassured that my baby is well taken care of while I’m away. I will always recommend her to any pet parent.”
About: Hello, my name is MehLayne (pronounced Mel-uh-nee) and I can not wait to take care of your fur baby! My senior chihuahua BB passed in June 2026 but she lived a happy life to age 23 🤗. I have taken care of a variety of pets since I was a young child and loved each and every one of them. The animals have ranged from a caterpillar turned butterfly, fish, a frog, cats, dogs, and even a squirrel. I would like to show that same care to your fur babies as well! This job will be my main focus so I can provide the most efficient and flexible service that I can. I am able to drive so I can get to you as soon as you need me! Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you and God bless 🙌 ❤️ SIDE NOTE FOR MY REGULARS: If there is ever any weird pricing issues PLEASE let me know ahead of time and I will adjust or fix anything you need me to! I currently take care of a pet so I tend to all needs daily and can be active with them no matter the weather or time of day. I will play with them using all of their favorite toys and make great use of the backyard or play area/room for them and make them feel right at home.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Kimry was absolutely the best, my cat is very shy and he warmed right. Loved the communication through out the drop ins, and overall how kind and professional. I will 100% request for any other pet sitting needs in the future.”
“This sitter was awesome! We received pictures every day knew our older kitty was being well taken care of. We came home to a clean litter box and a swept floor! And a happy kitty! We are so thankful and will definitely try to book him again!”
About: I truly love spending time with all kinds of pets! Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and play with their animals. I know that dogs need their exercise and outdoor time, while cats might need a clean litter box and some interactive toy play. Whether your dog needs a long walk to burn off energy or your cat needs some gentle chin scratches, I am reliable, attentive, and will always send plenty of photo updates! I currently work morning and occasional afternoon shifts, typically from 5 AM–1 PM or 12 PM–5 PM. My schedule still allows me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive and reliable pet care. Outside of my work hours, I am available for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m happy to work with your pet’s usual routine and make sure they receive the care, companionship, and attention they need while you’re away. I strictly follow all security and care instructions to keep your pets and property safe. I am a highly responsible and communicative sitter. I'll send you frequent photo and text updates so you never have to wonder how your furry friend is doing while you're away.
“Emily was the perfect pet sitter for us to use for our very first time through the Rover app! She was sweet and attentive. Great feedback updates each day. Our cat needed daily meds and she was great with that too! Highly recommend!”
“Thank you so so much! Adalynn took such great care of our kitty Peaches and was able to help when we were in a bind before going out of town! Looking forward to having Adalynn over again!”
“Could not have asked for a sweeter, more caring sitter. With the recent loss of my soulmate, I struggled with leaving my dog in someone else's care. Ashley completely went above and beyond for us, and made sure our Peanut was loved during our leave. I would highly recommend Ashley and will definitely choose her for any future needs.”

I had a short amount of time before 2 weeks of travel and Alex was close to my place and willing to help me out. She did an amazing job of looking after Gozer, and even stopped by before my I left to see where I keep everything at my house. 10/10 will book again

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dogwood Acres. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
