“Chad was super easy to work with, and very laid back- perfect for our anxious pup. He came by the house to meet us the day before our weekend away. Chad left the house in perfect order, very neat and tidy! We felt very comfortable having him stay in our home with Willie, and Willie seemed to love him too!”

“Brad was great. Very communicative he took tons of pictures and took a very good care of our pups. He left the house in excellent condition we couldn’t have asked for a better experience thank you so much.”

“Amanda did such a great job with our two dogs. One is older and takes daily medications and the other anxious, especially when we aren’t home. Additionally, she was flexible to stay an additional night when we had the opportunity to extend our trip. She was great to communicate and had our anxious dog snuggling with her. The house was extremely tidy when she left. Our AC went out after a power outage/surge and Amanda was great to share what was happening. She stayed with our dogs and was available even though the HVAC company couldn’t arrive until 9pm. I highly recommend Amanda and look forward to having her take care of our boys again.”

“Kayden was great! You can tell she has a way of getting pets to quickly get close with her. My pup Roman is battling isolation anxiety, and was very happy to have Kayden come by. Not only that, but she went above and beyond with updates and even keeping my house very tidy! She goes above and beyond. I am super grateful for her and will be rebooking :)”

“Ireyona is simply amazing! My dogs were well cared for and happy when I came home. She is an awesome communicator, and my house looked better than when I left it. Highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my natural ability to understand a dog’s demeanor and adapt to each dog’s individual personality and needs. As a dog owner myself, I have hands-on experience caring for and training two dogs. I successfully potty-trained both of my dogs and taught them a variety of tricks, commands, and skills. My patience, attentiveness, and ability to build trust with animals allow me to provide personalized, compassionate care for every dog I look after. Currently I am in school part time so I have plenty of time to play with pups and give them a happy, healthy, fun day away from their family. I have two friendly pups Oreo and Ozzie that loves all animals and caring for our pups is an important responsibility because they depend on us for their health, safety, and happiness. Dogs provide unconditional love and companionship, so they deserve to be treated with the same kindness and care they give to us. That’s how I care for all animals. I truly am a lover of all pets.
“Brendan stayed at our house for 3 nights & took very good care of our dog Archie. When I arrived home Archie was calm & happy - always a sign that he was well cared for in our absence.”

“Elizabeth did a fantastic job watching our two senior pups! She was very communicative and sent updates every visit. She was incredibly patient with our more anxious dog and spent a lot of time making sure our pups were comfortable and safe. I can’t say enough how grateful and impressed we are!”

“We couldn’t be happier with Jaime! She was absolutely amazing. Our dogs, Luna and Norman, adored her from the start, and it was clear they were well-loved and well-cared for while we were away. We came home to a spotless house — she even picked up the dog poop in the yard and washed the sheets she used, which went above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely be using Jaime again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring sitter!”

About: My years of pet care experience range from animal rescue to boarding facilities to volunteer work to doc training and to hospital care so I have a wide range of pet care experience. I work in the animal field, and so it is a daily job for me not to mention taking care of my own personal animals My animals are my children, and I would treat others animals the same way. I believe in being respectful of people’s opinions and the ways that they take care of their animals.
About: I have watched a friend’s mature dog in her home while a family member was hospitalized. I have always had rescue animals in my home it is always been a priority for me to love animals and treat them with the respect that is so well-deserved. I have two rescue kitties that I care for every day. I am semi retired, spend special time with my fur babies and exercise every day. I would like to rescue a dog, but if I could spend time and love other people's pets, it would be a very rewarding experience. Since I have two kitties, I prefer to care for pets in the clients homes. My one kitty is 16 years old and I don’t want to subject her to change an environment. Every morning, I am greeted by my kitties, before eating breakfast I give them their morning treats. After exercising in the afternoon, it is dinner time for them so I feed them, they nap and then we bond later in the evening, while one sits near me and the other one sits on my lap. Having cared for several dogs in the past, I take them for walks, engage in playtime and take time to bond. At one point in my lifetime I had three rescue dogs who all got along famously. They were an extension of my family and sadly, eventually passed from old age. I will love your dogs in the same way and treat them with kindness and respect. Their comfort and security are my main concern, along with your peace of mind, knowing that they are safe and secure.
About: Throughout the years, I've cared for an array of different animals and other species, of my own. For the past 3 years, I've been blessed, to have established trusting relationships with pet parents, and their pooches, at the same time, doing what I love, taking care of animals, walking dogs, and pet sitting, (during that time), in lower Manhattan, before recently making the move to NC, thereafter, joining Rover, where I'd like to continue, what I believe to be, my true purpose in life. I take animal welfare extremely serious. I am attentive, and in tune, to the animals body language, and communication. Caring for animals, in this life, is my calling, and what I'm meant to do, in the name of all animals, in the Pet Care Industry. Previously, I was working part-time, (outside of petcare) to earn a paycheck, while establishing and building new relationships with pet parents, and their pooches, through the Rover Platform. Am I grateful, now I am able to make a full time commitment, on account of new clients, whom have afforded me the opportunity, in caring, for their fur babies. I Thank You. Always do I follow, ALL client given instructions, for their pooch. Using the knowledge of my own experience, and common sense, in unpredictable situations, that may arise.
“Jada is not only a wonderful sitter, but a gem of a person. She was so patient, attentive, and sweet to our 16 year old pup, Missy. Missy is a spunky but wobbly senior with dementia and so we were a little anxious about how she’d do with a new sitter. Jada was so patient with her and kept us updated with pictures & videos. Truly no one better to watch your pet!!”

“We booked a last minute travel and we were looking for someone to take care of our baby girl in our home, Lindsey got back to us quick, and was available. Lindsey is responsible, punctual and the most important, Lilica loved her! She sent us pictures of Lilica, we loved it, we could enjoy our travel knowing Lilica was in good hands! I highly recommend Lindsey to anyone looking for a great petsitter to take care of your furry friend while you are away! Thanks again Lindsey, Lilica misses you! Hope to see you again anytime soon!”

“Meghean was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of Tiger and Sky, kept me updated with messages and photos, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared for them and treated them like her own. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for pets. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and caring pet sitter. Thank you so much, Meghean!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Denver on Rover is $64.17 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 2,708 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Denver. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Denver walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Denver maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Denver choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
