“Ireyona is simply amazing! My dogs were well cared for and happy when I came home. She is an awesome communicator, and my house looked better than when I left it. Highly recommend!”

“Amanda was on time, asked pertinent questions, and sent regular photos while watching our dog. We were very comfortable with her care and will absolutely use her again!!!”

About: I have been dog sitting for awhile, I also used to work part time at a boarding facility, but decided to start Rover and have my own clientele. i’ve had all different types of animals all my life and i have had all of my dogs trained inside and outside. I love having pets and also having the ability to help watch other peoples dogs when they go out of town or are working. I love animals all together and love to help others. I currently need a part/ full time job to earn some money. I can work any days throughout the week especially the weekends, and i can always make time for your animals. I have a big back yard and I have collars and leashes and dog toys and treats and food to take care of them while they are at my house.
“John has now taken care of our two bulldogs several times. Most recently we were away for 10 days. The dogs were well cared for and seemed content when we came home. John also brought in the mail and took care of a few things around the house. John is reliable and thoughtful. We will definitely ask him to care for our girls in the future.”

“Carrie was attentive to the needs of my furbabies and sent me picks to cheer me up when things with my trip had gone awry. Indiana and Georgie loved her and I was comfortable leaving my puppies with Carrie, which I have been reticent to do for many years. I usually take them where ever I go in a car, but could not on a plane. She also soothed my fears about possible damage to my home during hurricane Helene. Thank you Carrie for bing so sweet to my guys.”
About: Because I work remotely, pets are rarely left alone for long periods of time. I have hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and energy levels... from a senior dog who became blind and deaf, which taught me patience and gentle, consistent care, to my current puppy, where I focus on training, routine, exercise, and positive reinforcement for high-energy needs. I also have two cats with very different personalities, so I am very attentive to body language and always respect each pet’s comfort level, allowing them to warm up at their own pace. I work remotely and am home throughout the day. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship without dogs being left alone for long periods. My mornings usually start with feeding and a walk or outdoor time. Throughout the day, I schedule additional walks, play sessions, and enrichment based on each dog’s energy level and needs. Because I’m home, I can easily adjust my schedule for puppies, senior dogs, or dogs who need extra attention or routine. I make sure routines stay consistent from day to day so dogs feel comfortable, secure, and at home. Dog care isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule—it’s part of my everyday life. My goal is always to provide a safe, attentive, and loving environment where dogs feel happy and well cared for. I take safety, trust, and comfort very seriously and always care for pets as if they were my own. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine while providing a calm, secure environment. In my home, pets are closely supervised and never left unattended for long periods of time. Because I work remotely, I’m able to be present throughout the day to monitor behavior, provide regular potty breaks, walks, and attention, and ensure pets are comfortable and relaxed. I keep my space clean, pet-friendly, and free of hazards, and I’m careful to follow any household rules provided by owners. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely. I make sure doors and gates are secure, food and medications are given as directed, and pets receive the level of interaction and exercise they’re used to. I’m also attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, or energy and communicate updates promptly. My goal is always to create a safe, low-stress environment where pets feel secure and owners feel confident their pets are in good hands.

About: I have cared for many different kinds of animals large and small for many years! I pride myself on reliability and I am excited to meet your pets! I am a student at Appalachian State University studying Social Work! I am home for the summer, and would love to take care of your pet! I am mostly not available on weekends, but I can always make exceptions if needed! I will give your pets lots of love and playtime, and follow any instructions you give me to a tee! I can also teach them new fun tricks for when you get home!
About: My mom got me my first dog when I was 10 years old, and it was from then on that I promised to take care of him the best way I knew how. I have experience administering medication (in pill form, liquid, and gel) to both dogs and cats, even when they don’t want to take it. I have also personally trained my dog to sit, lie down, high five, and on accident, I taught him to get up on his hind legs and beg with his front paws. If there is any special care that your animal needs, I would be more than happy to quickly and efficiently learn and adapt to care for your animal the way they deserve. I am currently job searching, so I will be free almost every weekday with exception for surprise obligations that my family often come to me with. I am not available on the weekends, including friday for various extraneous responsibilities. When I first meet an animal, I get down to their level and extend my hand just enough to offer it as an option for them to investigate, but not enough to shove it it their face. I wait until the dog or cat engages with me before I try to pet them on my own to ensure that they feel comfortable and safe. If your animal has separation anxiety, I would be more than happy to comfort them with calming words and gentle hands for pets and snuggles. I will only feed or give your animal a treat if I am told to do so or given the okay beforehand as I do not want to over feed them or give them a treat you have bought without consent.

“First time Liz house sat for us and it will not be our last! She updated us daily with photos and took our dog on walks daily. Our daughter got very sick on our trip and Liz even extended her stay so we could travel when she was well again. Could not recommend her enough. She is outstanding!”

“Kayden was great! You can tell she has a way of getting pets to quickly get close with her. My pup Roman is battling isolation anxiety, and was very happy to have Kayden come by. Not only that, but she went above and beyond with updates and even keeping my house very tidy! She goes above and beyond. I am super grateful for her and will be rebooking :)”

I am a teacher and currently have my summer off. I can stop by any time you need me. I prefer to come by during the day but will stop by any other time if needed. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for all sizes and breeds, including walking, bathing, feeding, and spending quality time with them. From a young age, I developed a strong love and respect for animals and really value the bond between pets and their people. In college and through work, friends and coworkers often trusted me to watch their dogs because I’m dependable and genuinely enjoy being around them. I live an active lifestyle, especially on weekends, and my apartment is right by the 4-mile Lyle Creek Trail, which is great for walks and exercise. While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I truly enjoy being around them and love that pet sitting lets me experience all the best parts of having a dog—without them ever missing out on care, attention, or exercise. I work Monday–Friday with a very flexible schedule and live just 5 minutes from work, so I’m able to step away when needed for pet care. I’m available for boarding after 3 PM on Fridays, all day Saturday, and during the day on Sundays, with pickup by 7 PM Sunday evening. I’m also happy to help with dog pickup and drop-off when needed. On weekdays, I’m available before 8 AM and after 4:30 PM, and I can also accommodate walks and drop-in visits throughout the day to ensure pets receive reliable, consistent care. In my home or a client’s home, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while sticking closely to their normal routines. If a dog is crate-trained or needs a crate for safety or comfort, I’m able to crate them as needed. I provide regular walks, feeding on schedule, and plenty of attention based on each pet’s energy level and needs. I’m also available for overnight stays, making sure pets are cared for throughout the night and maintain a consistent routine. While I don’t have a fenced-in yard since I live in an apartment, I make up for that with access to plenty of open space and nearby trails, which are great for exercise and walks. Safety is always my priority, and I make sure pets are supervised, secure, and well taken care of whether we’re inside or out.
“Ashley stayed with our pups for a week and was so great! Our pups were happy and well taken care of and the house was clean (even washed the sheets and towels she used) when we returned. Definitely recommend. Thanks Ashley!!💕”
