“Susan and her family were amazing with our Penny girl! We loved all the photos and videos each evening. Penny spent Christmas with them and they even bought her a gift because I told them that our girl loves Christmas! I highly recommend having them sit your babies ❤️”

“From the first few minutes of meeting Alison and Richard, we knew they were loving, caring people who would take great care of our boy. Griffin had an absolute BLAST during his stay! I got updates and pictures every day and felt so at ease. He loves Wrigley and Sunny (the perfect play mates and leaders for him), and so do we! We will continue to ask Alison and Richard to watch Griffin for as long as they let us :) I highly recommend anyone use them if they are looking for a fun, caring, home environment for their dog- and stress free for owners- while they are away.”

“Our dog, Shelby just had her 1st stay with Myra and had a good time. I felt better knowing that she was getting some individual attention unlike at much larger kennels that she has stayed at in the past. She got to go on several long walks, which she loves. She also was able to interact with other dogs under Myra's careful observation, which was great for her social skills and keeping her mind off of us being gone. I really liked getting updates and pictures. Also, Myra was flexible with drop off and pick up times. Myra and her husband were great folks and we will definitely be contacting Myra again for future trips. Thanks!”

“Natalie and her husband took my 3 dogs in literally the day before my family left on a family trip because I had second thoughts of my previous arrangements. They were with them for 9 days. Their home had plenty of space and running room. She also was very quick with responses and sent updates and pictures to let me know how our 3 dogs were doing. I highly recommend and will be definitely using her again!”

“Was very nice and attentive to my girl and was kind enough to humor me when I had a last minute change of plans it defiantly helps that he lives near by lol will defiantly think of him next time I need a sitter.”

“Ann is wonderful! She sent us daily photos and updates on how our dogs were doing. They had a blast in the doggy pool, made a new friend, and she even let our puppy try sleeping in the bed and it went really well! We will be using Ann in the future.”
“Charles was great with my high energy girl. She had a great fenced in yard to wander and a convenient dog door as well. She got along great with his dog Pippa. Charles was also very accommodating and kind enough to pick her up and drop her off while I had my car in the shop. I would definitely use Charles as a sitter again!”

“Karen and Terry are awesome! They took care of my two shih tzus, who are not very socialized with other dogs, and they did awesome with them. I was so much more comfortable and at ease knowing they were with someone all the time, rather than being boarded and alone and separated most of the time. Karen also sent pics and videos the whole time and that was so nice to have. When I picked them up I could tell Opie and Tori had been very well cared for, and they were happy! You can definitely see that they are animal lovers and care for them as their own. I am so happy to have found them and will definitely not hesitate to use them the next time I can't take my babies with me. Thank you Karen and Terry! 5 Stars All The Way!”

“Sparky really enjoyed his stay and we felt so assured that he was safe and having a great time. He looked like he was having so much fun in all the pictures that we were worried he wouldn’t want to come home!!”

“We’re so glad we found Nancy! This was her first time watching our senior dog, who has a few special needs, and she took such great care of her. She was patient, attentive, and clearly has a big heart for animals. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos, it gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”
“Jamie was extremely flexible with dates when watching our pup. We ended up changing our plans midway through our trip, and she accommodated those changes. It made all the difference in our vacation. She provides regular updates with pictures and also gives the pups ample time to play. We will definitely request her again when we are going out of town.”

“Samantha did a great job boarding and caring for our Labrador Lizzie (8 years old and walks on 3 legs) while we were on vacation. We received pictures each day of Lizzie and she appeared to always be having a good time. I fully trust Samantha with our Lab and I'm definite we will be using her services again in the near future. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give Samantha a 15+... Her communication was great and I always felt Lizzie was well cared for and in safe hands.”

“Sarah & Erik were fantastic with our golden retriever! There was amazing communication and picture updates, which were very appreciated as rhis was his first time staying overnight at someone's home rather than a boarding facility. He came back so happy, sweet, and well cared for. Thank you for everything, we will definitrly be booking again in the future!”

“Jessica was such a pleasant person and took very good care of my boy! She sent pictures and videos and kept me updated on his doings. He doesn't have pet siblings to play with at home so he thoroughly enjoyed being able to use his energy with her dogs! I would definitely trust Jessica to watch my Rocko again!”

“Cosmo had a few of his happiest days with Jessica, Doug and their family. He bonded with their pups and got to play chase and football on their spacious property. He’s already asking to hang out with Sky and George, their two pups, again! Jessica and Doug went out of their way to keep me updated with pictures. I felt at ease the whole time.”

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
