“Melanie did an amazing job walking my dog. She was prompt, and attentive and allowed boomer to have a couple potty breaks. Definitely will be using her on a weekly schedule!”

“She was amazing! She communicated everyday throughout the visit check ins. Our cats seemed to love playing with her. Its always so relieving when our pets are well taken care of while out of the state.”

“Angela was the BEST dog sitter and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!! She goes out of her way to please not only you, but your fur-baby as well!! You will NOT go wrong with this chick!! 😍🤜🤛❤️🤩”

“We booked Jacob with a short notice. Great first impression during the meet-and-greet and took great care of our dogs. House looks good when we returned and dogs are well taken care of. Highly recommend, will definitely book again in the future.”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats of my own and have done lots of pet sitting for my friends and family: Cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. I worked at a veterinary office for 6 years until I became a physical therapist. I love all animals and will treat yours as I would my own. I’m currently still working as a physical therapist, and I plan to retire in October 2026. But my current schedule is such that I have days where I go in late or come home early so I can accommodate overnight pet sitting or dog walking. I prefer to do overnight pet sitting in your home, as that is what your pet is used to and will feel more comfortable with. I will follow any instructions you give me and abide by any pet rules you have in your home. I will give them lots of love!!
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was in high school, giving me over 20 years of hands-on experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I’m a lifelong animal lover and have also volunteered at the Humane Society, where I gained experience caring for and interacting with animals from many different backgrounds Pet care is already a regular part of my daily life. I have two dogs of my own and enjoy staying active with them. I’m happy to work with pet parents to provide walks and care that fit their pet’s normal routine. I’m dependable, flexible, and will make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship while they’re in my care. I understand how much trust it takes to put your pet in someone else’s care. I always follow the owner’s instructions and respect each pet’s individual routine, personality, and comfort level. I pay close attention during walks and visits and prioritize safety at all times. I’ll treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show my own.
“Jeffery came for a drop by visit on short notice and did a wonderful job making Rio feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend him and will certainly be requesting his services again.”

“It was truly excellent experience working with Michelle. Her detail-oriented and personalized care to our two cats made our vacation stress free. Michelle is a great communicator. One of our cats is diabetic and Michelle was able to approach Honey and give him medication injections. The other cat is super timid but Michelle was able to win Tomas’s trust. We will definitely have Michelle take care of our cats in the future.”

“Mickayla went above and beyond with our kittens. This was our first time leaving them for an extended amount of time and we had no worries while we were gone. She spent extra time each day playing with them and gave us thorough updates each day which we appreciated.”

“Emily always provides a great service for my cat Journey! He loves attention and she manages to entertain him during the visits so he’s not too upset when we get back home. 😻”

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was very young. Fur babies seem to seek me out, whether it is in nature or encounters on the street; you can catch me waving at animals before humans (lol). I've had dogs, cats, a horse, and bunnies off and on throughout my life. I just lost my bunny George, so finding Rover is the perfect opportunity to get some fur baby time in to help mourn my little love 🥲 Im excited to love on your babies if you'll have me 🫶 I'm currently very flexible with my time as I make my own hours. I would like to fill my time with fur babies as much as possible :) I will follow any instruction you have regarding your home and your furry companions. Safety and trust are important to me and I want to make sure you know your animals are loved by me too.
“Erin has been super communicative and flexible with our schedule! She always sends the cutest photos of our fur babies during her visits. Would highly recommend her to watch your animals!”

“Amazing help with our baby girl Luna. Luna is very touchy and not a fan of strangers, but I know she enjoys her time with Mary very much! Thank you for being a huge help for our family! Luna ♥️s you!”

“Maddy was very easy to communicate with! She was able to come let my dogs out on a last minute basis and was very understanding when I forgot to leave the door open for her 🤣 thanks again Maddy!”

“Thank you so much for everything you did to help with Colby! Jeanne stepped up beyond our original agreement when we had flight cancelation issues that meant we were 2 days late getting home. It was such a relief knowing that our cat was well cared for and had great rapport with her.”

“Carly did a great job looking after Murphy. Murphy had orthopedic surgery in February and now possibly another surgery to the other leg. She is on pain medications to keep her pain controlled and calm. Carly was on time twice a day to feed and medicate Murphy for pain and then stayed 30 minutes for ear rubs / reassurance. Carly also notified me that some boards were damaged on my back fence when a storm rolled through. I was able to get someone to quickly repair the fence while I was still out of town. I'm a first time user of Rover and will definitely use it again! Thanks!”

About: My name is Holly, I worked as a Pet groomer for 4years. There I learned all sorts of things. From nail clippings to anal gland expressions. After my arm gave out I went to a vet clinic where I was in charge of the kennels. I have experience working with all sort of dogs at all sorts of ages with all sorts of temperaments. Some needed special attention and some where happy with just hanging out. I must say the special needs animals are my favorite. I love giving that extra care to make sure every pet I encounter feels safe and comfy. At the vet clinic I also learned various first aid techniques. I love animals more than I love people. I'm pretty flexible and don't mind bending my time slots in order to accommodate your 4legged friend.
“This was our first time using Madison and Rover. Madison was great with our cat while we were away for an extended trip. She had to give him meds and apply medication topically. When we returned home we knew he was taken care of well. We will definitely call her again in the future for any pet needs. Thanks again, Madison!”
About: I have 2 dogs myself, springer spaniels who are full of personality and energy. My pet sitting experience has been going on for almost more than 6 years now. On many accounts I have stayed for a week at a time to dog sit. I have watched all kinds of dogs from a French Bulldog to a Bernese mountain dog. I love nothing more than to spend time with dogs whether it’s walking them or just hanging out with them! I live in Appleton in the summer and winter for winter break, and in the fall and spring I live in De Pere! I am a sophomore at St. Norbert College and I am on the women's soccer team. On M/W/F I have classes from 9-1, on T/Th I have class from 8-11:30. I can definitely work around those times!! My dogs are home are extremely spoiled, so that carries over to whichever dog I get to pet sit. Little things like making sure they are walked/exercised everyday, water is filled, and a healthy amount of treats :)
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in De Pere is $20
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - De Pere
Sarah and her daughter were absolute angels. We had a bit of a last minute booking and ended up having to reschedule the booking: Sarah was more than flexible and was able to work with us to resolve the issue. Our pup was in great hands and was cared for beyond our expectations. Sarah was very attentive to all the information and requests we provided and we were provided a detailed update after the booking. 1000/10 would recommend for other pet owners looking to be sure their furry family member receives the best care.

Mickayla was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of our pets and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She provided updates and photos, and it was clear that our pets were happy, comfortable, and receiving lots of love and attention. Mickayla was reliable, caring, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. We are so grateful for the excellent care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you, Mickayla, for treating our furry family members like your own! 🐾❤️

We are new to the area and needed some care for our dogs. We had a great meet-and-greet with Brittany and the dogs. She came to our home when we asked, took care of giving the dogs outside time and kept us posted on the visit. We will definitely be using her again.

Ella responded quickly to my service request and set up the meet and greet so we could connect on the details of Maisy care. I appreciated Ella’s confidence about caring for Maisy, she asked questions to be sure she understood the details I was sharing. I will be reaching out again when I need Maisy care!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
