Bonnie was incredibly understanding and accommodating when we unexpectedly had to stay an extra night because travel was so dangerous. She even offered to help with anything Cinnamon might need since we hadn’t planned on being away another day. Cinnamon had a wonderful time playing with Bonnie’s fur babies and came home happy and completely exhausted from all the fun. I would stop daily after work around 3:45pm to play and take walks. I took a separation package from my employer 5/1/25 and now would like to offer walks, daycare, drop in visits and boarding . With boarding, For larger dogs, they WILL be crated at night. Your dog will be crated when I play pickleball in the mornings. I do have a crate(s). Please note if sending a request there may be a delay in responding due to pickleball between 9:30 - 12:30 approximate times. I currently have two dog walking appointments from 11:45am -1:45pm Monday-Thursday. Having retired 5/1/25, I have the time to provide loving care, playtime and walks with your pet. About: I grew up with senior dogs. This year I adopted a puppy from Anderson Humane and I ADORE him. I have lots of experience with different dogs, and I ask a lot of questions so I completely understand your needs and your dogs needs. And no matter what they are, it is never a chore to me. I love working with animals and I love helping people, so you can take a break! I’m very flexible day to day! My work is a hybrid format so I can easily tailor it depending on your schedule and my work needs. Lots of walk time and trips to the dog park if you like dog parks. I like to put less emphasis on how I take care of your dog and a high emphasis on how YOU want me to care of your dog. Every dog is different and I’m adaptable!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs, I know nothing other than dogs. Raised both boys and girls. Currently, raising a 105 lb., 3 year old red gold retriever Mowgli and loving it. He plays well with others! Until further notice, I’m open at all hours of the day. I usually start my day around 5 am to about 9 pm per my puppy’s routine. However, open to any at the time being. I am taking a short leave from my full time position. My home is a family home we’ve grown up in the last seven years or so- plush grass, friendly dog neighbors, friendly neighbors, a lot of exercise in walking (I’ve gone as far as a half marathon once, not saying that’s the plan though unless you’re looking to train for a half marathon of course… lol)
About: I have grown up with pets, dogs specifically my entire life! I love dogs of all ages, all shapes and sizes! Having an animal companion to spend time with is some of the best company you can ever have! In my family I have helped raise/train puppies, we have also fostered in my household, and I have taken care of animals for friends and family. I am a very active person, I teach phy ed, so I love getting out for walks or runs. I am a teacher, so during the summer my hours are pretty flexible. I do have to teach summer school in the mornings for a short period of time, but then I am available for mid morning or lunch time pet breaks! Making sure all animals are safe and well taken care of is very important to me. Following instructions on how a dog best responds is very critical. Dogs are animals of habit when trained, so I want to continue to follow routines and expectations that their owner has. In my full time job I am trusted with children and I understand that for many people, pets are loved just as much as a child.
About: I've been a pet-owner, pet-sitter, dog aunty, shelter volunteer, and all-round animal aficionado my entire life. I grew up in Houston where I have always been the family pet-carer when anyone goes out of town. This is my 4th year living in Door County where I've been volunteering weekly at the animal shelter and spending my summers taking all my friends' dogs hiking and camping. I am currently working part time at a local brewery and looking to fill my days off with some dog walks or drop in visits. About: My partner Jonah and I are huge dog people, eager to take care of your fur baby! We unfortunately are not in a place yet to have our own, so we are using Rover as a way to spend some quality time with dogs in the area. Jonah grew up with dogs and is used to having them around. Though we don’t have a dog in the house, we have watched a few dogs here and know it is a safe and welcoming environment for them.
