Alesia is amazing!!! Super responsive, detailed, and a true dog lover! We have 3 Pugs and they are on a strict schedule and routine. Thankfully, Alesia met with us the day before to go through their routines to make sure that their wasn't too much disruption. She sent us report cards after every walk, along with pictures, which every dog parent appreciates when they are away from their fur babies! Thank you so much Alesia!!!

About: I have been in the industry since I was 15 years old!! I have always loved all animals and especially love dogs and horses. I have worked at vets, boarding facilities, breeders, and have owned dogs big and small my whole life! Your pups will be so loved while they are with me!! I also have trained all of my pups myself :) I am a teacher, so during the year I get up early to spend time with the pups and let them play and do their business. I set them up for the day and then when I get back at 3 they are let out again and it’s play time!! I have breaks and summers off which also helps with my schedule as well! I have a fenced in yard with 3 pups who are my pride and joy!! They love everyone and there ages range from 1-8 years old!! We are crating our one year old but the rest of the pups are so well behaved that they have free roam of the house! My goal is to make them feel loved and comfortable!! They all have access to dog beds or the couch and a basket of toys available for them to play with with each other or us!! We also love to take walks and play in the back yard for hour!! They have a set dinner time also.

About: I’ve been dog sitting for my parents and neighbors for the last 13 years now! I’ve expanded to friends and other family as I got older! I’m currently working Monday-Friday at an office, but working on switching to remote work so my schedule will be more flexible due to being able to work from anywhere. I have 2 dogs of my own, both I have had since they were old enough to leave their moms, one is 2 years old and one is 5 months now. My 2 year old is always ready to play and normally does really well around other dogs, but does play rough so maybe being around older dogs is not a good idea lol! The 5 month old is still getting trained and learning. I have also always grown up with dogs in the house ever since I was a baby. I can offer references of people that are not family that I have pet sat / house sat for as well.

About: I’ve been caring for all kinds of dogs—and cats—since I was 12 years old, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. My family and neighbors have always trusted me with their pets, and I treat every animal like my own. I walk dogs often, follow routines closely, and I’m comfortable giving meds if needed. Above all, I’m patient, reliable, and focused on making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. I work part-time while attending nursing school, which allows me a flexible schedule to provide consistent and reliable pet care. I care for my own dog every day, so I truly understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet. On my off days, I’m able to complete 2–3 drop-in visits or walk your pet, and I have availability from Sunday through Thursday. Every other weekend, I’m free for the entire weekend and can commit to regular check-ins throughout the day. I genuinely love helping others—whether you’re taking a vacation, working long hours, or just need an extra hand—and I’m committed to keeping your pet’s routine steady, safe, and stress-free Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions you provide. In your home, I make sure to respect your space, keep things clean, and give your pet plenty of attention and companionship. I always monitor for any changes in behavior or needs, and I keep you updated with messages and pictures so you know how your pet is doing. My goal is to make your pet feel relaxed and loved while you’re away.

  • 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
