About: Hi! My name is Ebony, and I’m a college student pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life and currently have a dog of my own, so caring for animals isn’t just a job… it’s my passion. With my background, I’m comfortable administering oral medications, recognizing changes in behavior, and responding appropriately in emergency situations. Cleanliness and organization are very important to me, and I always make sure your home and your pet’s space are left tidy. I am more than happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you always know how your fur baby is doing while you’re away. ❤️ While I attend school full-time , my availability outside of class is dedicated to providing attentive and dependable care for your pet. I currently offer in-home sitting and walking services so your pet can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their daily routine. I’m also currently offering doggy daycare in my home! ❣️ During a typical daycare visit, your dog can enjoy: -Several walks around the neighborhood -Nature walks -Supervised playtime and enrichment -Playdates with my dog, Journei, when appropriate -Plenty of affection, attention, time to relax and lots of treats (with owner’s permission, of course!❣️) Your dog’s comfort and safety are always my priority. Before booking daycare, I recommend a meet-and-greet to ensure our dogs are comfortable together. I understand how important patience, consistency, and compassion are when it comes to building trust with both pets and their owners. I strictly follow all provided feeding schedules, dietary needs, medication instructions, and routines to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their own home. Thank you for considering me as your sitter ❣️

About: I intentionally take one dog, or one dog family, at a time because I want every pup staying with me to receive the attention, care, and love they deserve. ❤️ I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. They’re family, and you want to know they’re not just being watched. You want to know they’re being cared for, understood, and loved. That’s exactly what I try to provide. Your dog gets to stay in a comfortable home environment, become part of our routine, and receive plenty of individual attention instead of being one of several dogs competing for a sitter’s time. ❤️ Dogs of All Ages and Needs One of the things I especially love about caring for dogs is getting to know what makes each individual dog comfortable and happy. I’ve had dogs throughout my life, including senior dogs, so I understand that not every pup needs the same kind of care. Some dogs want to play all day, while others are happiest curled up beside you. Some need extra patience and reassurance, while others just want to know when dinner is coming. I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs and dogs who need a little extra help, including following feeding routines, administering oral medications, and keeping up with individual care instructions. If your dog has medication, supplements, mobility limitations, a specific feeding schedule, anxiety, or simply needs a little more patience and attention, I’m happy to work with their normal routine. My goal is to make their stay feel as familiar and comfortable as possible. 🏡 What Your Dog’s Stay Looks Like: Because I keep boarding intentionally small, I can give your dog the individual attention that can be difficult to provide in a busy boarding environment. Depending on your dog’s personality and routine, their stay may include: 🐶 One on one attention and companionship 🛋️ Couch cuddles and cozy naps 🎾 Playtime and enrichment 🌳 Supervised outdoor time 🥰 Lots of affection and reassurance 🍖 Meals, treats, and supplements according to their normal routine 💊 Medication administration when needed 🛏️ Comfortable sleeping arrangements 📸 Regular photos and updates for you I’m happy to follow the routines you already have at home. The more I know about your dog, the better I can care for them. 🐾 Why One Dog at a Time? I’m not trying to fill my house with as many boarding dogs as possible. I chose to keep my boarding small because I want to actually know the dog I’m caring for. I want to know their personality, their favorite things, their quirks, what makes them nervous, how they like to sleep, what their normal routine looks like, and what makes their tail start going a mile a minute. That also means I can give extra attention when a dog needs it, whether that’s an energetic play session, a quiet afternoon, an older dog who needs to take things slower, or simply someone to sit beside them when they miss their family. 🐕 Meet Kenobi: Of course, no stay at our house would be complete without Kenobi, my 4 year old yellow Lab and resident Buddy. Kenobi is goofy, affectionate, laid back, and absolutely convinced that every couch in the house belongs to him. He’s always excited to make a new friend and loves having another dog around, but your dog is still the VIP. 🐾 A Little About Me: I’ve always had a huge love for dogs, especially Labs. My dogs have been an incredibly important part of my life, and caring for them has taught me that dogs aren’t just pets. They each have their own personalities, needs, routines, and ways of communicating. That’s what I love about boarding: getting to know the dog, not just watching the dog. I want you to feel comfortable knowing your pup is somewhere safe, cared for, and getting plenty of attention while you’re away. And yes, I’ll probably send you entirely too many pictures. 📸 My goal isn’t simply to give your dog somewhere to stay. I want them to feel like they’re spending a little time at their second home. ❤️ I am currently working part-time for a real estate agency as an admin. I can work from home or in the office so my schedule is flexible. My dog is on a routine from walks to feedings and I do my best to stick to it everyday. I will always be prompt and timely to make sure your pets stay on schedule as well.

About: Pets are family, and I know how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust caring for them while you’re away. My goal is to give your pets the same patience, attention, and affection I would want someone to give my own. They all have their own personality, routine, favorite things, and little quirks. I’ll take the time to get to know yours. Your pets are part of your family. When they’re in my care, I’ll treat them like they’re part of mine too. I will always do my best to be available whenever your pet needs some lovin’. Days, nights or weekends! Just let me know what can make this a no-stress experience for you and your fur-baby. I won’t just stop by, check off a list, and leave. I want your pets to look forward to seeing me. That means taking the time to play with them, give them attention, learn what they enjoy, and make sure they feel safe and cared for while their family is away. I also understand how hard it can be to leave a member of your family in someone else’s care. You can expect regular updates and photos so you know how they’re doing and can have some peace of mind while you’re away.

About: Hi there! My name is Ireland, if you ever need someone to check in on your furry one during the day, I’d love to help. I’ve been the go‑to dog walker and pet‑check‑in person for neighbors for over 10 years, and caring for furry friends has genuinely become one of my favorite parts of life. I’m extremely reliable, consistent, and always treat every dog like they’re one of my own and trust me, mine set the bar high. I currently have two big, lovable goofballs at home: a Saint Bernedoodle and a Golden Doodle, both tipping the scales at over 100 pounds. So whether your pup is tiny, timid, energetic, or extra‑large, I’m fully prepared and experienced. If you’re looking for someone who shows up, pays attention, and makes your dog feel safe, happy, and loved, I’m your girl. Big dogs, small dogs, shy dogs, wild dogs - I walk them all like they’re my own. ❣️ I’m currently attending Cleveland State University’s Accelerated Nursing Program, and because the program is fully online, it gives me incredible flexibility throughout the day. I’m able to structure my coursework around your pet’s needs, which means I can reliably stop in for walks, check‑ins, feedings, or whatever support your family needs. Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily routine, and I love having that balance of studying and spending time with your furry one. When I’m caring for a pet whether in my home or yours my approach is simple: treat them like family and keep their routine steady, safe, and stress‑free. • Routine consistency - I follow your pet’s normal schedule for meals, walks, potty breaks, and playtime so everything feels familiar and comforting. • Detailed communication - You’ll get updates, photos, and notes so you always know how your furry one is doing. • Respect for your space - I keep your home tidy, follow all house rules, and make sure your pet’s environment stays clean and safe. • Behavior + comfort check‑ins - I pay attention to mood, appetite, energy, and any changes so you’re always in the loop. • Experience with large breeds I currently own two gentle giants a Saint Bernedoodle and a Goldendoodle, both over 100 lbs so I’m very comfortable managing big personalities and big paws. • Play, enrichment, and affection - Walks, mental stimulation, cuddles, and attention are all part of the package. • Cleanliness + comfort - Fresh water, clean bowls, cozy rest spots, and a calm environment are always maintained. Why You Can Trust Me: • 10+ years of experience caring for neighbors’ pets • Extremely reliable. I show up, communicate, and follow through. • Comfortable with all sizes — from tiny pups to 100+ lb doodles. • Genuine love for animals — I treat every pet like it’s my own.

About: I grew up working at a dog kennel and have always owned dogs. Some of my best friends are trained professionals and I've learned a lot from them. I can do walks, playtimes and certain medications. I can do over nights just not at my house for the time being. I only work Saturday and Sunday but am Still available early Sundays and later after 9 as well as late (after 12am) on Saturday. My days are pretty open during normal pet care hours and outside of them. Dogs love me, and I understand dog body language. My dog was over 100 lbs and I can handle him just fine. I love dog play times and don't mind running with them to get energy out. I just love dogs and making money. Message me with any questions or concerns.

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was 8 and spent a summer in high school raising my family’s new puppy. My family has had frenchies, a labradoodle, and a corgi/beagle mix I have experience with small dogs such as frenchies and larger dogs as well. I work full time, 8 AM - 5 PM. I also am a mom to an infant. I am available for drop ins, and for walking as needed. Although I do not offer services in my home, due to my cat being afraid of other animals, I will treat your home as my own. If I could give Megan a 10 STAR review I would!!! ⭐️ Megan takes care of our animals as if they were her own! She has the biggest heart in the world! FAQs for Pet Sitting - Cuyahoga Heights

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
