Hi, I'm Shandra! (She/Her). I have been around both dogs, cats and a variety of other pets (including a squirrel and duck!) for most of my life. Right now I have four cats in my Tremont apartment. I specialize in cat sitting and am also happy to help out with dogs of all sizes, bunnies, birds and other exotic pets too. Large breed dogs must have basic training down. As someone who has spent a lot of time traveling, I understand what it means to have an attentive pet sitter come check on your pets while you are away and know that there is a difference in someone spending 5 minutes or 30 minutes at the house. I will try to make sure your pets get the attention they need and deserve while you're away and send you regular updates with lots of pictures! I would be happy to check in on your pet(s) and spend time with them while you are away. I also enjoy taking walks and hiking and would also love to take your dog for a walk while you are busy with other obligations. I am happy to care for pets for all people, inclusivity is important to me. My rates are a base price on Rover and are subject to change at my discretion. I am located in the Tremont neighborhood near downtown Cleveland and have a service area within approximately a 10 minute drive for drop ins and walks. If you are outside of this radius, I am usually happy to visit your pet still for an additional rate to cover gas and travel time. I also add an additional $5 for drop in/walk service in the downtown Cleveland area or for apartments/homes where parking is difficult to find or will incur an additional cost. I will consider a larger distance for house-sitting. I will always discuss any additional fees upfront with you before the booking is complete on Rover (No surprises!). Thank you for understanding! I take all necessary covid-19 precautions and am fully vaccinated + boosted. I will let you make the choice to wear masks during meet and greets with you and your pet if you are also fully vaccinated. If you are not, I ask that you let me know so we can both be masked and safe during our visit as I share a home with an immunocompromised person. Thank you! Thanks for considering me to care for your pets while you are away! I have been so grateful to be able to meet so many great pets and people through Rover. I have a flexible schedule right now and will keep my calendar updated to reflect any changes. I usually try to lump my rover visits into times in the morning and the evening, but it varies depending on clients needs. We will discuss timing of visits and flexibility during our meet and greet. Drop in visits are my most popular service that is booked. For these I always make sure I feed the pet according to your instructions, take care of the litter box daily for cats or let dogs outside/take care of pee stations and refresh water bowls daily. I also clean up any messes and make sure your home is as clean as you left it! I am also happy to take care of small household duties like checking the mail or watering a few plants while you are away.
